Just Imagine

It's Saturday! That means it's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog.

For my layout "B & A" I used the Star Template and the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #921. I used the negative part and backed it with yellow patterned paper to create my sun. I then punched a border and used  both the positive and negative pieces and left a little space in between.

Here are my tools:

Happy Friday!
I played with Let's Get Sketchy's Week 3 Sketch yesterday and combined it with the kit my friend Karen sent me for a challenge at My Scraps & More. Her challenge was to use the kit she sent ma along with doing a girly layout using embossing and a photo of Sierra and I.

I am finally getting time to post a layout I made with the Let's Get Sketchy Week 2 sketch. I just love their sketches!
I finally played with the light modeling paste I bought over a month ago and am loving the results! I mixed the paste with brown paint and used a mask to create my "muddy" background:

So Very Sweet

Hello and happy Wednesday!

Just wanted to share a layout I have up on the My Scraps & More Blog today.

I used the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss line. This is one of my favorite collections of Simple Stories, the colors are amazing!

I posted this layout the other day for my lift challenge on the message board. I lifted LoriS, her layout is amazing!

I used older pictures of Sierra sitting on the bench in our back yard, isn't she cute?! I added some twine and Glimmer Mist spatters to the background paper for a little more color.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

For my layout "Hello Summer", I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #912 for my border with no insert and added some pink patterned paper behind to make it pop and added some pearls on top. I used the circle cutter to make my circles. I also used a sketch by LGS.

Inspiration Elevator: A New Beginning

You may recall that the purpose of this challenge group is to take our scrapbooking to the next level, to stretch our creative process and to grow as artists by embracing challenges that make us think, work and grow. You can view all of the challenges on my blog by clicking here or check our our new Inspiration Elevator Blog, here.

This month, our challenge comes from the talented Laura Whitaker. Laura's challenge, in her own words, is as follows:

"As we welcome spring, scrap something to do with a new beginning, it could be an opportunity, a relationship, or even the world's reawakening after it's long winter's nap. Don't forget to journal and describe why you have chosen your topic."

We would also like to welcome our May Guest Designer, Denise Morrison. Her arsty, eclectic style inspires her followers to see how "Life is Yummy" at her blog!

I hope you will stop by and see what our designers on this adventure have created:

Lisa Spiegel
Joanne Burton
Christa Uttley
Guest Designer, Denise Morrison

It has been a very long winter here, so I decided when I saw my crocuses come up that I definitely had to scrap them! It was the first sign of spring, a new beginning to the start of warmer weather, which by the way, I couldn't wait for!

I have been trying to use up some of my stash and decided to use the Echo Park Springtime collection. I drew and hand cut my sun, fussy cut some clouds and the tree, punched some butterflies and added flowers, all signs of spring.

Here are a few close-ups:

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!

Now off you go to the talented Laurel Seabrook's Blog

Swag!

Hello and happy Wednesday!
Just wanted to share a layout I have up on the My Scraps & More Blog today. I used the Fancy Pants Swagger Collection. This is such a fun line!
I used an older photo of Greg on vacation in Mexico, this was taken right after I met him:

I love the hat:

and the staches are so fun, I just had to add one under my button because back then, Greg had a stasch!

I added a lot of distressing, ink and stitching on this layout to make it more masculine :)

hope you have a wonderful day!

I used sketch #4 at Cards In Envy and combined it with Bev's May 5th Card challenge at My Scraps & More and 365 Cards day 128 I used an SRM Calendar sticker on this card and love it, their products are awesome!

and one for my MIL:

I used Wendi Robinson's sketch at 365 Cards (#125) for this card and combined it with Debbie's Mother's Day Card challenge at My Sketch World.

Got Talent?!

My Scraps & More is having their annual Got Talent Contest, hope you will join us!

Sweet treat

It's Wednesday, that means I have a layout up on the My Scraps & More Blog!

Just wanted to share my layout here as well.  I used the Carta Bella Cool Summer line. This line is perfect for all your summer photos and more! The photo of Sierra enjoying a shake was taken on Spring Break, 2012. I love the colors, icecream cone banner, (I just had to use it!) and pinwheels in this collection!

I used a Martha Stewart border punch, Kreaxions Circle Cutter and the April MSW sketch by Lucy Chesna . I also added some green ink and Glimmer Mist spatters to my layout.

Here is Lucy's fun sketch:

Memorable Seasons MOTM!

I am honored to be Memorable Seasons May Member of the Month! How exciting and cool is that?!

Wendy asked me to share a little bit about myself and a few photos of my favorite work (so I thought I would share here as well)

Hello!

My name is Lisa Moen and I live in central Wisconsin with my husband, Greg. We will be married 17 years next month, but we dated for almost 10 years before we got married!

We have 2 children, Sierra, 15 and Austin, 13. Some days are hard having 2 teenagers in the house, LOL! We also have a yellow lab named Bender who just turned 7 and still acts like a puppy.

I have been scrapping for a little over 16 years and it is still my passion! Besides scrapping, I enjoy watching my kids in sports, reading, gardening, 4wheeling and camping.

Here are a few of my favorite layouts:

Once again, I am honored to be Memorable Seasons May's MOTM! This group of ladies are so talented and friendly! Thanks Memorable Seasons for having me!

Happy Saturday with Just Imagine!

It's Saturday, that means it's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog!
Just wanted to share a card with you today that I made using the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch # 921 and the Kreaxions Star Stencil.
I traced the Star Stencil onto my patterned paper and punched the tips with the punch to create my doily. I punched the corner of the pink matting with the same punch, but added the C plate to it. I then took one of the negative flowers and added it to the center of my pink fussy cut flower for this bright and cheery summer card:

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me, it means a lot!

TGIF!

Woohoo! It's Friday!

Every Friday there is a new sketch posted at My Scraps & More Sketch Blog and I played with it today! I combined the sketch with Let's Get Sketchy's Week 5 challenge to use a favorite sketch from anywhere and use your favorite color combo.
Here is Tammi's sketch:

the color combo:

and my layout:

I have also been playing along with Memorable Seasons Color Your World Crop and they have a fun challenge posted that I also played with this morning.
Here's the challenge:

Susan wrote:
"This morning I'm issuing a challenge that uses color mediums. It can be anything except paint or glitter glue - such as colored pencils, markers, watercolor pencils, gel pens, crayons, chalk. Basically anything that comes in a pen or pencil form. I want your coloring to be a significant aspect of your project, and not just an X here or a dot there. I want you to get artistic, channel your inner child (who here didn't love coloring books when we were kids?), and have fun!"

I grabbed my pencil and started sketching some cattails, grass and water. Dusted off my watercolor pencils, added water with a paintbrush, a few stamped clouds, a stamped hot air balloon and some washi tape and came up with this:

This is the first time I created a layout without patterned papers! This was so fun, you may be seeing more!

Have a great weekend!

MSW Spring Fling!

Come join us for some fun at My Sketch World's Spring Fling Crop! There will be lots of fun and games!

Vintage Bliss

Hello and happy Wednesday!
Just wanted to share my layout I have up on the My Scraps & More blog today.
I used the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss collection for my layout. I fell in love with these papers because they are so pretty and would be perfect for any girl layout. Well, I pushed myself to use it on a guy layout, grabbed a photo of Austin and Greg fishing and I just love the outcome of it!

So next time you get a "girly" collection, I dare you to use it on a boy/guy layout!

The Spring Into Summer Crop is still going on, on the message board and I would love for you to play with us!

Thanks for sharing your day with me!
