All About You

Hey there scrappy friends!
The 5th week challenge is up on the LGS Blog today!
The extra challenge this month is to scrap a "you" layout.
I choose to do a layout of me in my scrap room. Sierra took these pics of me in July. Here is what I came up with using Fancy Pants Me-ology collection:

Here are a few close ups:

I fussy cut the larger flowers and black and white camera from patterned papers:

I also added a bit of green watercolor to make it more eye popping:

Hope you will check out what the rest of the DT did and play along.

For your Fall inspiration I have created this layout for the hop:

I used a piece of Lily Bee for my background and Simple Stories Harvest Lane for the rest of the papers on my layout. The 2 pennants (one on each side of the blue plaid paper pennant are 4x6 journaling cards. I just cut them to make my pennants.

Here are a few close ups:

I used light modeling paste, watercolors and a stencil for my leaves. I also added 3 silk leaves to my page.

I used the "FALL" pennant stickers and added pop dots behind them to give some dimension to my title.

Here is the line up in case you get lost along the way:

Danie

Now off you go to Shirley's Blog to see her wonderful fall project.
Thank you for joining our LGS blog hop!

Greatest Adventure

Hello! Happy Wednesday!
Just wanted to share a layout I created using Lily B We Are Family and Fancy Pants Burlap & Bouquets. It's not very often that I mix lines, but I love how these two work together.
This photo of Sierra and Austin was taken during on family vacation to Canada.

I also added some twine, thread, watercolor, washi tape and buttons.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Pony Ride

Happy Thursday peeps!
It's my day to post the Throwback Thursday challenge at My Scraps & More. My challenge is to use nothing but scraps, no 12x12 papers allowed except for your background and use those open packages of embellies too!
I used an older photo of Sierra when we were at the circus and used my October Afternoon Sasparilla scraps:

I had previously cut a circle from this wood look paper so I decided to use that as my background and just add another piece of patterned paper behind it.

Here are a few close ups:

She was scared to death at first, but soon enjoyed her ride.
Have a great day!

Go Big or Go Home!

Our main purpose here at IE is to challenge ourselves, each other and YOU to take the creative process to the next level; to inspire growth and change in our scrapbooking beyond the mundane.

You can see all of Inspiration Elevator's previous challenges at our blog and catch us on Facebook .

We are thrilled to welcome back as a guest designer with our team, the very talented Christine Meyer!

This month's challenge is issued by the creative Christa Uttley. Here is her challenge for us, in her own words:
GO BIG OR GO HOME: Scrapbookers as a rule use what photos they have on hand or if you are designing, whatever pictures allow you to best showcase your lines or express your paper lines. This month's challenge is to be very deliberate about your photo choice because we are going BIG! Bigger than 8x10 if you can do it. Recently, I saw a friend using a 12x12 she had printed at the local Costco and was stunned at the power this GIANT image had on her story telling. (If you'd rather not spend any extra on your photo then scrap those large baby pictures or a wedding shot you have lying around.) Think scenic vistas or think about all the details that go missing in your world and blow them up. Be brave!
Here are the MUST DO's: Must be at least 8x10 in size. We want this GIANT photo to take centre stage and tell the story in a big way.

I decided to use a selfie Sierra took and blew it up to an 8X10 photo. Of coarse, my printer had to act funny and printed the photo with lines. UGH!
I used the American Crafts Shimelle line and painted my background with watercolors.
I am so used to working with 4x6, 3.5x5 or wallet sized photos, so this was a real challenge for me and I kept putting it off. Finally did it and I love the result! Thanks for the challenge Christa!

Thinking Of You

Hey!
Just wanted to share a card I created for the new challenge up at Cards In Envy today.
The challenge is to create an A2 size card (4.25" X 5.5"), it must be flat enough to fit in an envy for regular mailing and use twine on your card.

Here is what I came up with using Pebbles From Me To You and of coarse, twine:

Hope you will stop over to the Cards In Envy Blog, check out what the rest of the DT did and to play along.

Top 10

Hello!
Another weekend has come and gone :(
It's time for another challenge over on the Scrap & Play Blog.

I used 2x2 photos of Sierra's Homecoming a few years back, a lot of these photos I haven't scrapped yet, so putting 12 photos on a page was a huge accomplishment!
I used Amy Tangerine paper for my background and the rest I used American Crafts. I used miscellaneous embellies.
Here is what I came up with:

Because I was using so many photos, I decided to use a grid.
Here are a few close ups:

Here is the challenge:

Hope you will check out what the rest of the DT did and play along with this fun challenge!
