Lake Wazee

Hey there scrappy friends!
I am here today to share a summer layout I have up on the blog today over at Paper House. I played with some of their new goodies!

  Lake Wazee

I started this layout with white cardstock and added some watercolors to it using the packaging technique and some spatters. Then I fussy cut the island, waves and water from the Beaches of the World Paper Pad placed at the bottom of my page and added some stitching.

I took the gorgeous “At The Beach" Shaker Box  and backed that with a sand patterned paper from the paper pad. I used the teal & silver frame and the “Sun & Sand” overlay from the Beach Mixed Card Pack and layered that together, finally adding my photo. I added the layered relax sticker and a few stickers from the Beach Snapshot Sticker Pack:

I cut my title from one of the papers in the Beaches of the World Paper Pad and stitched in place. I added some of the Sculpted Stickers from the Relax Sculpted Sticker I added a few pieces of chipboard and sequins from my stash.

Free Day

Hey there Scrappy Friends!
I had my last free day to scrap today before we take Sierra to college Thursday morning and on Friday I head back to work. I have to work a  few hours tomorrow and the rest of the day will be making sure Sierra has everything she needs.
Any how, I played along with the August challenge over at Creative Embellishments. I completed this layout in between house cleaning and canning tomatoes.
I have been working on using some of my stash and used an older Echo Park line along with a Creative Embellishment chipboard, stamp and flair and came up with this fun graduation page:

My intentions was to paint the chipboard at first, but as I got going on my page, it looked awesome as is! I cut my title using a Silhouette cut file and my Cameo. I added a torn piece of my favorite black and white stripe washi tape, a journal spot from Teresa Collins, some tangled thread and a Creative Embellishment Flair:

I fussy cut the hot air balloons, added some fake stitching using a marker to a few of the chipboard piece stars. I also added a heart sticker:

I created my background using the packaging technique along with mist. My colors were a little brighter than I wanted, so I tamed them down using a thin coat of Gesso. Finally I used black ink and a Creative Embellishment stamp. I fussy cut the clouds and popped one set up:

Some more fussy cut air balloons with some tangled thread:

The challenge was to use this photo as inspiration along with using something circular.

I used the colors yellow, pink and teal. I was also inspired by the hot air balloons and used a few on my layout. For circular items, I used flair, circle chipboard star piece and a circle stamp.

This was such a fun layout to create!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!

Shine

Hello there!
It's my day to share a layout over on the Sketches In Thyme blog using a fun sketch by Jenessa Franco. I used Amy Tangerine Plus One along with some embellies from my stash and came up with this page:

I had taken a photo of the program and cut it apart and that's what I used as my sub-title.

The "shine" is from Heidi Swapp, the frame is Crate Paper and the gold camera is Evalicious:

I added some watercolor to my background to help pop the photos. The tag is Crate Paper and the puffy "high five" and gold hearts are from Amy Tan:

The gold heart is also Heidi Swapp along with the black mist spatters.

Here is Jenessa's sketch:

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Love You Card

Hello!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend and have some fun plans!
I am spending my last weekend with Sierra before we take her to college on Thursday :(
Today I am sharing a card I made for the sketch challenge at Sketch-N-Scrap and the Single Step Challenge at Words 2 Craft By.
I used Pink Paislee Cedar Lane for this card to send to Sierra while she is at the UW.

This is one line from my stash I have been trying to use up. Now I only have a few small pieces of papers left and a few odd embellishments. I maybe can get 1 more card of it, LOL!
Here is the sketch:

Lucky Me, NOT!

Hey there!
I am back today to share a fun layout I created using the Scrap Our Stash sketch + (3) challenge. This challenge always makes me think outside my box and I always love what I create!
Here is my layout:

I stuck pretty close to the sketch, but I added a few more layers. I added some stitching to this cluster of papers and embellies:

I used a sticker from Simple Stories and some My Mind's Eye alphas. I added some torn washi tape under the "NOT" to accentuate it:

Here I fussy cut the cluster of flowers, added some more stitching and some green washi tape:

The cluster at the top is another group of fussy cut flowers, patterned papers and a tag:

I finished the layout of with paint and mist spatters.

Here is the sketch:

I used:
3 manufacturers: Fancy Pants, Basic Grey, My Mind's Eye and Simple Stories.
Washi tape

You & Me

Hey there!
I am back again today to share a layout I created using a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap and a few cut files from The Cut Shoppe.
I used some old My Minds Eye along with the Scribble Scrabbles and This & That cut files for this layout of Sierra and one of her friends on graduation day:

I did some stitching on the cut file:

The "Hello" circle is from the This & That cut file. I colored it using watercolors. I fussy cut the "beautiful" banner and the yellow chevron arrows. I popped them up with foam tape. The butterfly is from Little Yellow Bicycle:

I used the This & That cut file to create my title and colored it with an orange Gelato:

Here is the sketch I used:

Hey there Scrappy Friends!

July Project 12

Hey there! Happy Saturday!
I posted my Project 12 sketch and 2 pager for July today at Turtle Soup and wanted to share it here as well.
I used Echo Park Simple Life and a cut file from Paper Issues I believe, which I altered:

The cut file originally had stars all over the page. I deleted a lot of them moved around the rest to create the flourish on the bottom and then just backed it with patterned paper.

Here is the left side:

Right side:

and some close ups:

I fussy cut the flowers and added some stickers popped up with foam tape:

Check out that ribbon, it's so cool and has been in my stash forever!

Here is my sketch:

If you play along with it, please share with me here or at the Turtle Soup.

Enjoy your day!
