Laugh Out Loud

Hello and happy hump day!
Today I am sharing a layout I created over the weekend using the May Hip Kit Club kit and one of their sketches. Sierra took this fun selfie of us over Easter, I love it!

I added a doily behind my photo and a piece of patterned paper. Then I pretty much just added some mist spatters and lots of the Hip Kit exclusive dies.

These feathers are gorgeous! They have gold in them!

Love that Laugh Out Loud title piece! It's so fun!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Thank You Card

Hey there!
Hope you had a great Memorial Day! It was kind of low key here- just working around the house and lots of yard work. I did manage to get some early morning scrapping in yesterday.
I created this card using a sketch at Sketch-N-Scrap along with some of my Pebbles stash:

Cleaning Your Scrappy Tools

Hey there scrappy peeps!
I am here today to share a easy way to clean your scrappy tools.
Here are a few before pictures of my spatula, pick and scissors (all gunked up from cutting foam tape):

I laid a piece of paper towel  on my desk, laid the tools on top and sprayed them with the Best Cleaner Ever. I let them sit for a few minutes.

and then used the Perfect Cleaning Cloth to wipe them. They look brand spanking new!
Check it out:

I normally use Goo Gone to clean my tools, but not anymore! The Best Cleaner Ever, really is the best cleaner I have found now to do the job.

Now all I need to do is launder the Perfect Cleaning Cloth without bleach or fabric softener and hang it to dry.

So if you are looking for something to clean your scrappy tools with, grab the Best Cleaner Ever and try it!

Happy Moments

Hello!
I am up on the Sketches In Thyme blog today sharing a layout I created using the new sketch.
I used Echo Park and Kaiser Craft papers along with some embellies from my stash for this page of Sierra and a few friends on Homecoming:

I thought this bling was a perfect addition to the page since all 3 of the girls have bling in their dresses. I colored the & sign using a Gelato.

I fussy cut the "Leave a little glitter behind" from the Kaiser Craft paper and added some stitching.

I colored the wood veneer title with Gelatos and added some sequins and fussy cut butterflies.

More bling, wood veneer and some tangled thread with another fussy cut butterfly make a perfect cluster at the top.

Here is the fun sketch by Brenda Ragsdale:

Thanks for stopping by and stay scrappy, my friends!

Best Friends

Hey there!
Today I am sharing a page I created a few weeks ago for the NSD challenge at Sketch-N-Scrap and the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge at Scrap Our Stash.
I used Fancy Pants Wonderful Day for this layout of Sierra and a few friends:

I punched a wave border and added it to the bottom of the yellow patterned paper and stitched. I added a few diecuts and chipboard embellies to create a cluster:

I added a pennant, some stitching, a tag, button and a chipboard heart in this cluster:

Remember those flags? Those were some of my favorite pieces from this collection!

Here is the sketch:

Here is the Tic-Tac-Toe board:

I used the first column: Journal card (tag), the color yellow and 3+ patterned papers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Dream... Creative Embellishments

Hello friends!
I am here today to share a layout I created using some gorgeous Creative Embellishments items, the Best Glue Ever and some My Mind's Eye from my stash:.

I created my background using watercolors. I then backed a Just Nick cut file using The Best Glue Ever and some patterned papers. I stitched it in place. I added some stamping using the Grunge Stars Stamp and brown ink. I used the word "Dream" from the Dream Word Set and added some Gesso. Then I sprayed it with a mist:

Haha! I just noticed I forgot to add the day in the date. I wasn't sure of the exact date when I created this layout and was going to add it in before I took the photos. I will be doing that. I added Gesso and mists to the Feathers. I added some tangled thread under them and added that beautiful butterfly flair from the Butterfly Flair Set.

I colored the Dreamcatcher 1 using Gesso and mists and then added another Butterfly Flair:

I had a blast creating with these goodies and getting messy.
 Enjoy your day!

Fancy Layout for Stuck?!

Hey there!
It's the 15th of the month and that means a new sketch is up at Stuck?! Sketches! Laura always has such wonderful sketches and it's a great starting point for a layout! We would love to have you play along!

I used mostly Pink Paislee along with some Petaloo Darjeeling flowers and a few fun items from Creative Embellishments.
Here's my layout:

I added watercolors to my white cardstock background. Then I used the Twinkle Stamp from Creative Embellishments and stamped on my background using black ink. Finally I used the Fairy Dust Stencil from Creative Embellishments along with Nuvo Glimmer Paste. I just bought this from the local scrappy store and I love it! I couldn't believe how fast it dried!

I added some of the gorgeous Petaloo Darjeeling flowers, a doily and a few Pink Paislee embellies. I used a Martha Stewart punch for my border.

I love this "Fancy" foam sticker from Pink Paislee (Citrus Bliss collection) and it was perfect for this photo! I also love the pop of pink the "Remember" puffy sticker adds.

I layered several of the patterned papers from the 6x6 C'est LaVie paper pad under my photo and added some stitching. I also added a few Petaloo butterflies.

Here is the sketch:

I love this sketch and also how my layout came out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Cards In Envy

Hello!
Do you have a favorite color combo you love to use when scrapping? The challenge for the next few weeks at Cards In Envy is to create a card using your favorite color combo of two or three colors.
My favorite color combo is orange and teal! It reminds me of summer and I love scrapping with them!
I created a card, using no patterned paper. If you know my scrapping, you know that I almost always use patterned papers. But not this time...
While on Pinterest, I saw a few cards that had only used mists, inks or paints for the background. They added a stamped sentiment and a few butterflies. So I decided to try it.

I used watercolors on white cardstock and then added a few colored cardstocks behind the white. It looked to plain, so I added some twine:

Here's a close up:

I'm still not sure I love it, maybe my colors were too soft. Next time I may try it with mists.

Have a great day!

Together

Hey there! Happy Mother's Day!
Today I am sharing a layout of my children and used a winter photo from last year.
I am proud to have these 2 for my kids and am so lucky to be their mom!

I used a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap. They are celebrating their 5th birthday this month, all month long!

Here is what I came up with using Fancy Pants Timbergrove:

I am not sure where the cut file (snowflake) came from, it's been sitting in my scraproom for quite some time and when I saw the sketch, I knew it was finally time to use it!

I painted the snowflake and background with watercolors and then added mist and paint spatters.I stitched the snowflake in place.
The snowflakes and title word "Together" are chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments. I colored them with Nuvo Glitter Markers. These photos do not do those pieces justice, they are so sparkly in person.

Here is a close up of the layers under the photo:

Another glimpse of the layers and embellies:

Here is the sketch I used:

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Easter Eggs

Hey there scrappy friends!
When coloring Easter eggs with my kids last month, I bought an egg dye set that had foil and glue in it. After several attempts using the glue that came with the kit and no success with the foil sticking to the egg, I grabbed my bottle of the Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap on it. I added some to the colored egg,

spread it around using my finger, let it dry until it was clear and tacky and then placed the foil on top and rubbed:

Here is the perfect result:

I tried it again on another egg and received the same beautiful result:

Doesn't the foil look pretty?!

Next year when coloring eggs, I will grab my Best Glue Ever and use ScraPerfect's Transfer Foils and skip the foil dye kit. I love the results the Best Glue Ever gave me. It has replaced a bunch of adhesives in my home and scrappy room!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
