Happy Sunday!

Hey there Scrappy Friends!

I got a lot done this weekend, including visiting Sierra for a few hours yesterday, raking leaves, cleaning house and yes, SCRAPBOOKING!
I created this layout for a sketch challenge at Sketch-N-Scrap using the September Hip Club Kit.
I added watercolors to my background using the packaging technique. Then I added some layers under my photo along with some machine stitching:

I added a few strips of paper in the lower right corner. I added more stitching and then a few diecuts:

I love these gold alphas that came in the kit this month! They are gold and the perfect size! I added a chipboard flower piece under my photo and then added a few more diecuts, popped up with foam:

Here's a few more diecuts and a gold chipboard star:

I love how this layout came out!

Thanks for stopping and have a great night!

Autumn Is In The Air

Hello Friends!
Autumn is definitely here! Lots of leaves and cool weather here in Wisconsin.
I played along with challenge #4 at the Rubber Buggy and combined it with a Sketch-N-Scrap card sketch. I used Paper House Autumn Woods for this card:

I created my background using mists and the packaging technique. I wasn't happy with the results, so I misted it with water to soften a bit. I still wasn't happy and it almost went in the garbage. Finally I added some stamping and was happier with the results. I added strips of Paper House Autumn Woods papers and some stitching. I added some leaves that I previously had cut from a cut file from The Cut Shoppe. I topped those off with some tangled thread and my fussy cut sentiment:

Finally I added the raccoon sticker popped up with foam. Here is a side view of the card:

Here is the Rubber Buggy's challenge:

Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful day!

Lovely

Hi There!
I am back to share another layout I created over the weekend. I used the October 15th sketch at Stuck?! Sketches and the October tic tac toe challenge at Scrap Our Stash along with some Shimelle from my stash:

I added watercolor to my background along with a doily from my stash. I fussy cut the flowers and used a circle punch to punch out that teal heart. I added some mini alphas, diecut and a few wood buttons. I placed some washi tape under the top and bottom of the photo:

I made the tag and added some twine to it. I also fussy cut the letters from a paper in the Shimelle collection. It's hard to see, but I also added a black diecut radio under the top of the photo:

Here's the sketch:

Here is the tic tac toe board:

I used:
Mini alphas
American Crafts
and
Die cut

Have a great day!

Laugh

Hey there!
I am up over at Sketches In Thyme today sharing a layout using sketch #298 and wanted to share it here as well.
I used some My Mind's Eye Sweet Caroline stash along with ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever and came up with this page:

The Best Glue Ever along with the Fine Line No Clogging Cap is perfect for adding a thin line of glue to adhere ricrac. I added a fussy cut ticket, a stick pin, button and a piece of chipboard for this cluster:

I fussy cut the "celebrate good times" from a 3x4 card and added a date sticker from October Afternoon:

Here is the sketch by Bev:

Christmas Cards

Hey there! Another post from me today.
I had some scrappy time yesterday and created a few Christmas cards using Fancy Pants Holiday Bustle.
My first card was created using a sketch from The Rubber Buggy:

The second one was created using a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap:

Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Marvelous & Magical

Hello!
I have been working on this layout all week. With being back to work, I scrap for only a few minutes at a time during the week.
I used Amy Tan Rise & Shine and Plus One along with a Pink Paislee tab from my stash and came up with this page:

I fussy cut the flowers from one of the Amy Tan papers:

I used a few different word chippies from Creative Embellishments and colored them with 2 different inks. The first black ink I used looked gold, so then I added another black ink on top. I added some Stickles to a few of the fussy cut flowers. I also added a word phrase sticker from Tim Holtz:

I added white paint and Stickles to this Creative Embellishments butterfly chippie:

I played along with the October challenge at Creative Embellishments and was inspired by the butterflies and flowers:

I used this sketch from the Rubber Buggy:

The challenge at Creative Embellishments was to create a black and white layout. I had a hard time not adding color, but I am happy with how this page turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

A Shaker Card

Hello!
I am here  to share a fast and easy way to make a shaker for a card or layout.

I used Simple Stories for this fun card.

I took a chipboard frame, added a piece of plastic packaging by stitching them together:

I flipped it over and added some sequins on top of the plastic packaging:

I added some glue to the chipboard frame:

and placed a piece of patterned paper on top:
Just a reminder, that the patterned paper will show through the front of your shaker box window, so choose one that matches :)

Now it is ready to add to your card or your layout.
Here is my finished card:

Hope you will give this a try and share with us if you do.
Enjoy your day!

A Holloween Card

Hello!
It's the 2nd Monday of the month and that means a new card challenge is up at Cards In Envy.
The challenge is to create a card featuring a Halloween costume. I went thru all of my Halloween stash and could not find anything that would pass as a costume. After a few days of contemplating what to do, it hit me! DUH! I used my Cameo and cut out a witch from black cardstock.
I created this card using Fancy Pants October 31st collection along with a few ScraPerfect's products.

I used the Best Glue Ever to adhere my layers of paper together and then added some stitching. I love The Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap for getting glue in small spaces such as the spider web.
To attach the sequins, I place a small dot of the Best Glue Ever on the card, using the stick with some of the Embellie Gellie in it, I pick up the sequin and place it on the glue. I find that if the glue has dried a bit, this works the best, because it is tacky instead of wet.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

XOXO

Hey there!
I am sharing my second layout for guest designing at CSI.
I loved the case file when I saw it and just couldn't wait to play with it.
Here is my layout:

I added light pink and teal watercolors to my white background cardstock using the packaging technique. I fussy cut a bunch of flowers and added them to border strips along the top and bottom of the page. I also added a fussy cut butterfly and the number 18:

I added some layers behind my photo and then added some more of those fussy cut flowers. I also added some tangled thread for some texture:

I fussy cut my title "XOXO" from a Simple Stories paper. I added a small card, tangled thread, a label and another fussy cut flower.

This is the top of the layout. I fussy cut the butterfly, flowers, label and heart:

I used:
Simple Stories Life In Color- Red flowers, small red heart, labels and "XOXO"
Dear Lizzy Happy Place- large heart
Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Bloom- butterflies
Dear Lizzy Lovely Day- "Choose your own destination" card, balloon and number 18
Fancy pants Dream Big- most of the papers

Here is the case file I worked with:

I love how this challenge pushed me to create something I love!
Hope you will play along with us!

Moodboard

Hey there!
I am sharing my layout for the design team reveal at Off The Rails. The challenge is to use grey, white and 1 other color. I chose teal as my third color. I used Dear Lizzy and Amy Tan for this page of Sierra:

I fussy cut the camera and flower from a few papers. I added a bit of tangled thread under to add some texture:

I fussy cut the circles and leaves from papers and then added stitching to some of them. I added a phrase sticker and a fabric brad:

I added some diecuts, enamel stickers and more tangled thread:

I have to admit, this challenge freaked me out a bit, but once I got going on it, it was so easy to do. I also love the outcome!

Here's the moodboard:

Hope you will play along with us this month.
