Hanging With My Fam

Hello!
I am sharing a layout I created for Creative Inspiration. They have a fun mini crop going on right now. My challenge is to use a family pic and scrap it. EASY PEASY!
I created this layout using the October Hip Kit Club kit:

These clouds have been sitting on my desk for sometime. I can't remember what cut file they came from. I painted them with watercolor and then added more watercolor to my background paper. I punched a butterfly and added that to my page. I fussy cut the houses from one of the papers and then added the wood strip under them to look like a street. I love that "Hanging with my fam" wood veneer and had to use it:

For my title, I used a diecut (Happy) and some alpha sticker. I added another punched butterfly:

I added some layers of papers behind my photo along with some tissue paper, scalloped border, wood veneer, a punched circle and a tag:

I love how this page turned out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Scrap Happy

Hi there! Welcome to my blog!
There's a new case file up over at CSI today!
I used Echo Park- I'd Rather Be Crafting, for this layout about me:

I added watercolor to my background using the packaging technique. I cut a bunch of rectangles from patterned paper and stitched them in place:

I cut the words, "live, love and create" from papers and stitched through 2 of them and popped one up for some dimension. I added a fussy cut clock and some stickers. I popped up the frames with foam tape, added some twine and hung them from brads:

I used a sticker, foam Thickers and a fussy cut word for my title:

Here's the case file:

Free Spirit

Hey there!
I am back today to share a layout I created for Off The Rails. They have a fun mood board this month to play along with!
I used an old Clique Kit for this layout of Austin:
I used white cardstock for my background and added some  mists using the packaging technique. I cut the big circle diecut in 2 pieces and added the bigger piece on top and the smaller one on the bottom, stitching it in place:

I fussy cut the feathers from one of the papers. They were all black and white, I flipped 2 of them over so that I could have a little of the green pops of color. I added some diecuts and enamel dots and hearts throughout the layout:

I added the chipboard "Live Simply" for my title and added a chipboard arrow on top:

I fussy cut the dream catcher from a card that came in the kit. Love it!

Here's the mood board:

I love how this page came out!

A Valentine

Hey there!
I just wanted to share a card with you that I have up over on the ScraPerfect blog today.
What do you use to adhere thin diecuts to your projects?
I found the perfect combo- The Best Glue Ever and the No Clog Writing Cap!
Here's my card:

See how intricate this diecut is?

See how fine the applicator tip is on the No Clog Writing Cap? It's perfect for adding glue to this diecut!

I like to pop up my embellies with craft foam and The Best Glue Ever is perfect for this. It dries(and holds) super fast!

I love how this card turned out and I love my ScraPerfect products!

Handsome

Hello again!
I am back to share a layout I created using a few challenges along with some Creative Embellishment chipboard.
I played along with the November 1st challenge at Scrap Our Stash and a challenge for Paper Issues Come Hang Out crop.

I created my background using The Distress Oxide Inks and adding water to them. I added a few wood veneer stars in with the chipboard.
I colored the stars chipboard with a few different mists and then added some machine stitching:

I colored the words using some acrylic paint:

I backed my photos with a few patterned papers from an old Echo Park boy collections. Finally I added a few mists spatters:

Here's the Scrap Our Stash challenge:

Thanks for stopping and enjoy your day!

Fall Colors

Hey there! Happy Sunday!
I played along with Creative Embellishments November challenge. I used PhotoPlay Autumn Day for this fun fall layout of our drive to see the colors:

I used watercolors to create my background. I colored the leaves with a few different mists. On the "Ravishing" chipboard piece, I used a yellow and red Gelato. I put the yellow on the top and red on the bottom. Then using water on my finger, I blended them:

I fussy cut the trees, foxes and word "fall" from a few papers. I added some enamel dots from AC:

Here's the mood board:

I love how this layout turned out!

A Christmas Card

Hey there Scrappy Friends!
I am excited to be back with Whisker Graphics for another term!
I am up on the Whisker Graphics Blog today sharing a fun twine tree Christmas card.

I started with a white piece of cardstock cut to fit my card base. I used a ruler to add some pencil lines- short line at the top and the longest line at the bottom. Then I used a stick pin to poke holes at the ends of the lines:

I took Green Solid Divine Twine and divided the strand into 2 pieces:

Then I hand stitched each line. When I was finished stitching the lines with the green, I used the Divine Twine Metallic Gold to stitch around the tree:

I finished the card up by fussy cutting a bird from the Petite Stickies and popping it up on foam. I also added a sentiment sticker and some sequins.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Under The Stars

I used Simple Stories Under the Stars for this card.
Hope you find some time and play along with us!

Vegas Baby!

Hello and happy Sunday!
I am sharing a layout I created for the Sunday sketch at Creative Inspiration. I used photos from Spring Break a few years ago along with Simple Stories You Are Here for this fun vacation page:

I added watercolor to my background. Then a strip of orange patterned paper and added some machine stitching. For my title I used Thickers. I added a small cluster of embellies to the lower portion of my layout:

I added some fussy cut pieces along with a few Simple Stories stickers to the right of the photo:

Under my photos, I added a chipboard frame, cut in 2 pieces so I had a piece for each photo. I also added a few papers and an acetate . Here I added a fussy cut camera and another heart sticker along with a fussy cut flower. Fussy cutting things from patterned paper make fun and cheap embellies!

Here is Bev's sketch:

This was such a fun sketch to work with! If you play along with it, be sure to share your layout over on the CI message board.
Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Maiden Voyage

Hey there!
I have my 3rd post up at Dies R Us today!
We got a new camper in June and I am finally getting around to scrap the maiden voyage of it!
I love using dies on my scrapbook pages but don't have a lot of them and turning on my Cameo is too much work, lol! Plus it's too noisy to use when the guys are sleeping since I usually scrap in the early mornings.
Anywho, I used a few dies from Dies R Us on this layout along with BoBunny Take A Hike 6x6 paper pad:

I used Lawn Fawn stamps and dies to stamp the camper and  teal colored trees:

I used the Christmas Tree Square die from Frantic Stamper for my trees. I backed them with patterned paper using The Best Glue Ever.

Here's a side view:

I love all the texture I got from these dies!
Head on over to the Dies R Us blog and tell them I sent you.

Amazing

Hey there Scrappy Friends!
Today I am sharing my take on case file #265 over at CSI. I used a Hip Kit Club cut file and cut it out on black cardstock for this layout:

I added watercolor to my background. I machine stitched around the letters of the cut file using gold thread and backed them with papers from Pink Fresh and Bella Blvd. I love how this came out! I added a gold acrylic arrow from Becky Higgins:

I added a few papers under my photo along with a Crate Paper chipboard frame.  The scalloped border was created by placing washi tape on cardstock and then I used a scallop punch. I added some gold Thicker hearts, a few word stickers from Pretty Little Studios, a few Crate Paper rub-ons and some enamel circles from PinkFresh:

Here's a close up of that cut file:

Here's the case file:

I love how my layout came out!
Hope you will play along with us! There are lots of awesome prizes up for grabs!
