Start With A Grateful Heart

 Hey everyone!

Today I am sharing my take on sketch #610 at Sketches In Thyme. I used Paige Evans stash for this layout of me at the Brownsville, Texas zoo in January:

When I saw the sketch, I decided to use this patterned paper as my background. My first thought was to use white cardstock and use paint to add the stripes. I hand cut a few tags from the patterned papers and added some ribbon from my stash. I placed my photo on top:

I used a diecut for my title. I fussy cut a few butterflies and leaves and added those around the photo:

I added some diecut flowers, the hello sunshine banner and the Tim Holtz Life Is Good sticker. I also added a bit of handwritten journaling:

I sprinkled some sparkletz from Buttons Galore along with some paint spatters to finish off my layout:

Here is the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by and we will see you again soon!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

 Hey there Scrappy Friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #432 at CSI. I used mostly Echo Park and Bella Blvd. from my stash for this spring layout of us with some of our camping friends:

I added some patterned paper behind my photos  and then added the umbrella sticker behind it. I added some circle stickers from Paper Studios along with the fussy cut bird and the lemon diecut is from Hip Kit:

I added the sun sticker from Echo park and used some of their alpha stickers for the title. I also added fussy cut hearts, flowers and leaves:

I fussy cut the bike, heart and flower and tucked those behind the right side of this photo of my crocuses blooming. I added this wood veneer spring piece, I can't remember who made this as it has been in my stash forever:

I added some strips of patterned papers to the bottom of my page and stitched them in place. I fussy cut flowers, a leaf and a butterfly and those at the bottom as well:

Here's a quick look at the case file:
