Last Layout

My last page was created with a Scrap Our Stash challenge ( I used striped paper, dimensional sticker, wood veneer, a journaling card and a transparency) and a sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap. I used My Minds Eye Kate & Co:

Now, I am headed to take my favorite girl for dinner, LOL!

Scrappy Saturday!

Good afternoon!
With the guys out of town for a family reunion, I had some scrappy time today and completed 3 layouts so far!
I stumbled on a few new scrappy challenge blogs through a scrappy friend of mine, Tammi Bennett, and decided to play along with a few of their challenges. I also decided to use my stash of scrappy supplies and also photos that I have had printed for quite some time. So I feel like I accomplished something today:)

My first layout is for a sketch challenge at Scrap Our Stash. I used a photo of Austin posing for a pic next to huge stuffed moose at a store in Niagara Falls. I used Webster Pages:

I added some Creative Embellishment gears:

 some watercolor:

and a fussy cut banner:

Here is the fun sketch:

For my second layout, I used a Sketch-n-Scrap sketch along with sports photos that are almost 3 years old!
Here is the sketch:

Here is my take on it:

I used a few different lines on this page- Scrappin Sports & More and some Bella Blvd along with some Fancy Pants chalkboard tape,

I am off... Almost time for Sierra and I to go to dinner. We decided Applebee's! Yum!
Have a great day!

Be You

Good morning and happy Saturday!
I have a layout up on the Just Imagine Blog today.
I used the Star Stencil along with the Kreaxions Punch #905 to create my doily on this layout of Sierra. I just love this selfie she posted on Facebook and had to scrap it. Speaking of selfies, that's the Got Talent challenge I posted  on Monday at My Scraps & More. I would love if you checked it out and played along.
Any who, here's my layout:

I used Fancy Pants Be You collection.

I really fell in love with the July 1st sketch and couldn't wait to play with it. I have been seeing people fussy cut people from a photo, and decided to try it. Love the look!

Let's Play Football!

Hey there!
It's my day to post the mini GOT TALENT challenge over at My Scraps & More today. This is a fun way to play- no eliminations, a prize every week and a final prize!  How cool is that?!

My challenge for today is white space and lots of it!
I used Echo Park Simple Life for this layout of Sierra and some of her classmates playing powder puff football her freshman year:

I added some October Afternoon mini alphas,

and some Calico Studios sequin wood stars:

Hope you will stop on over to the board and play along with me!
Enjoy your day!

Happy Birthday

Happy Monday!
There's a new challenge up on the Cards In Envy Blog today and it's an easy one- create a birthday card! Just remember it has to be an A2 card that fits a regular first class stamp- no lumpy, bumpy cards.
Here is the card I made for my Goddaughter:

I added some Stickles to the bows on the gifts but it's hard to see.

I used the Bella Blvd. Birthday Girl collection for this. I love the fun girly colors!

Check out the rest of the DT's card over on the blog.

These Moments

There is a new sketch up at LGS today. I love playing with these sketches!

I used a photo of Austin and my sister Connie taken on Christmas Eve along with Everyday Moments by Elle's Studio:

I added some watercolor to my background:

some splats and Recollection butterflies:

Here is the beautiful sketch by Bev Code:

Stop on over to the LGS Blog and see what the rest of the DT did with the sketch and play along.

Thinking of You

Good morning scrappy friends!
It's my day to post a project up on the Just Imagine Blog today.
I made this card for a fellow scrapper who was sadly diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago. I hope it brightens her day at least a little.
I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #303 for my border and added the negative piece to the top. I used Dear Lizzie Lucky Charm papers and a My Mind's Eye stamp:

Here is a close up of the border:

Here is the punch I used:

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

California Girls

Hey there!
Scrap & Play has a new challenge up on their blog today!
I used a photo of Sierra and I from 2010 when we took a family vacation out to California. I used Chic Tags Cloud 9. I am loving this collection, so many fun embellies and their paper is just awesome!

Here is the challenge:

Of coarse with my photo and where we were vacationing, I had to choose the title California Girls. Look at how white we are:)

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!

Going Up? An Inspiration Elevator Challenge

Our main purpose here at IE is to challenge ourselves, each other and YOU to take the creative process to the next level;  to inspire growth and change in our scrapbooking; to stretch, sometimes uncomfortably, to create something fresh.
You can see all of Inspiration Elevator's previous challenges at our blog and catch us on Facebook  too.
We are thrilled to welcome back as guest designer, the delightful Denise Morrison. Denise's artsy style conveys layers of artistic and emotional significance, and we love her artful scribbles!
We are also honoured to welcome a guest challenger this month, team alumni, creative and busy Sue Sykes, a regular contributor to Canadian Scrapbooker magazine and manager of their sketch site. Here is her challenge for us, in her own words:
We all know that the contents of our bags, whether it's a handbag, a satchel, a clutch or a backpack, reveals a lot about ourselves. This month, create a layout about the contents of your bag on any given day. Be sure to include the stories behind any unconventional items.
As a further challenge, use one of the items on your page somehow!

I himed and hawed for a long time on this challenge. I mean, my purse just doesn't have anything exciting in it! LOL! Then it hit me the other day, how many people carry around  a candy bar, or on this day, a partially eaten candy bar in their purse? That was it, that's how this layout came to be, thank God, I saved that candy bar for this rainy day!

I used a stencil (it reminded me of the pattern in my purse) and modeling paste. Once dry, I added some watercolors and that wasn't quite enough OOMP, so I added some Mr. Huey Mist. I printed the candy bar off the internet and used a few patterned papers by American Crafts:

Here are a few close ups:

Here's a complete list of this month's participating designers!  We encourage you to check out each designer's creation this month, then come on back and give the challenge a try yourself!
Guest Challenger: Sue Sykes

Meantime, if you've wanted to participate as a guest designer with Inspiration Elevator, just contact team lead, Ann at ann jobes at bell dot net
Now it's your turn to get creating about what is in your bag, and share your blog link at the IE blog. We would love to see what you were inspired to make!
