A Fun Advent Calendar

 Hey there Creative Friends!

Today I am sharing an advent calendar I created using patterned papers from Carta Bella, Echo Park and Recollections. I also used lots of Creative Embellishments chipboard and some of their acrylic pieces to decorate the individual boxes.

I used this video to create my advent calendar, but changed the spine part of it up a bit with things I learned creating prior mini albums.
On the cover, I used:
Tree Shaker (filled with Buttons Galore & More and glitter from my stash)

Here's a view of the spine:

A view of the book opening. I used ribbon from my stash to tie a bow and that holds the book shut:

A few close ups of the cover embellies:

This is what it looks like open:

There are 24 handmade boxes. I placed a Coffee/ Cocoa Mugs Countdown piece on each box. Here's the left side:

Here's the right side:

On some of the boxes, I added a bit more:
 #2 has a Jingle Bell

#10 has a Jingle Bell
#11 has a stocking sticker

#14 has a candy sticker

#16 has a mistletoe sticker

I used inks, Nuvo Glitter Marker, Sharpie and Stickles to color the chipboard pieces.
I had a blast creating this fun advent calendar and I am working on another one to possibly share with you soon.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hello From Leiper's Fork

 Hey there Scrappy Friends!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today I am sharing my take on sketch #590 at Sketches In Thyme. I used Bella Blvd. stash for this fun and happy page:

I used a variety of colors of patterned papers and machine stitched them to my white cardstock background. I also added some watercolor paint spatters:

I added some stickers and fussy cut some things from the patterned papers:

I used some letter stickers from my stash for the title. Those pink ones have to be at least 20 years old! It feels good to use them!

Here's the sketch:

I hope you will play along with us this month!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Give Thanks

 Hey there Creative Friends!

Today I am sharing a Thanksgiving page with you. I'm not sure I have ever created a Thanksgiving page before. I just never think to take photos. Last year Felipe gave me 2 beautiful table runners he brought back from visiting his parents in Ecuador. This runner was perfect for our Thanksgiving celebration, so I decided to document it.
The background paper is from Amy Tangerine. The yellow is from My Minds Eye. Both of these have been in my stash for quite some time. The brown is from Echo Park. I also used lots of Creative Embellishments chipboard on this page:

I added the patterned papers to my background and then machine stitched them in place. I placed my photos.
For my title, I used acrylic paint to color the Give Thanks 2:

I used inks to color the "Gobble Gobble" from the Autumn Sentiments. I added 3 Tim Holtz word phrase stickers throughout my page that I cut into pieces:

I love this Happy Turkey Outline, isn't he the cutest? I colored him with acrylic paint and then highlighted him with inks:

Here are a few more words from the Autumn Sentiments that I added. The "gather" I colored with inks and the "Thanksgiving" I used acrylic paint. Check out the table runner, it's beautiful!

I colored the Pie Set with inks and acrylic paints. It looks so yummy!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Autumn

 Hello Creative Friends!

Today I am sharing an autumn layout I created using Creative Embellishments chipboard and flair buttons along with Paper House Autumn Woods papers and Echo Park Happy Fall stickers.

I added watercolor to my white textured cardstock background. Then I stamped one of the Distressed Plaid Stamps 2 using black ink on the background. I finished the background off using the Distressed Circle stamp and a brown ink. Then I added torn strips of patterned papers from Paper House:

I colored the Corn Stalks using acrylic paints and added those to my background. I added patterned paper to the Scarecrow 2 and then used inks and acrylic paints to finish him:

I added my photos along with some Echo Park Happy Fall stickers:

I colored some of the pumpkins from the Pumpkin Set 3 and the Jolly Jack-O-Lanterns with inks. I popped some up with craft foam to add some dimension:

I added 3 of the Fall Flair Buttons to my page along with some more of the Echo Park stickers. I used the "autumn" word from the Autumn Word Set for my title. I used acrylic paints to color it:

I had a blast creating this fun fall themed page!
I hope I have inspired you in some way.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Autumn Blessings: CSI

 Hey there Scrappy Friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #422 at CSI. I used my stash for this fun fall page:

For my title, I used the words "Autumn Blessings" from the Creative Embellishments Autumn Sentiments

I added the Creative Imaginations striped paper to both sides of my page. I also added some torn strips of the wood paper from My Minds Eye. I tucked in the Flourish Border 3 from Creative Embellishments. I added a few Falling Maple Leaves. I added some banners cut from American Crafts papers and stitched them in place:

I added a banner from My Mind's Eye and placed some Divine Twine on top. I added in a few Acorn Clusters and the word "together" from Creative Embellishments:

I also added some pumpkins from the Pumpkin Set along with some fussy cut mason jars and a few star circle stickers:

Here's alook at the cluster on the bottom left. I fussy cut those cute mushrooms:

I added a few American Craft word phrase stickers and some leaf  and flower diecuts from Hip Kit:

Here's the case file:

I was inspired by the colors, border and pumpkins. For evidence, I used: stripes, woodgrain, watercolor, mushrooms, decorative border, twine, jars, swirls, stars, circles, leaves and lace. For my testimony, I documented autumn.
I absolutely love how this page came out and I love that I used my stash to create it!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
