Apt. 2B

Hey there friends!
Last month I shared a layout titled Inside 2B. I used the outside photos of this apartment on this layout I created for Sketches In Thyme. I used the March 2018 Hip Kit Club kit:

I used watercolor on my background. When that was dry, I used black in and stamped the honeycomb pattern on top. I fussy cut the black vines and used The Best Glue Ever to adhere them. I also fussy cut the blue and white flowers. The hanging plant is a fun diecut from the kit:

I added a few more fun diecuts here along with some fussy cut flowers. Check out those gold alphas I used for the title, Love them!

I added a few diecuts and stickers to the right of the photo and carried my tile under the photo as well.

Here's the sketch:

Hope you will play along with this sketch!

I added diecuts from the kit here, popping some up with craft foam:

I added a few layers under my photo including paper and a diecut. I fussy cut the green leaf from one of the papers in the kit and added more diecuts. The "Wknd" are diecuts and I used Thickers from the kit to create the rest of my title:

I added my journaling, a few stickers and more diecuts here:

I love how this page came out and would love to see your take on the challenge over on the forum!

The Love of Football

Hey there friends!
Are you a football fan? Do your kids play football? Then you need this chipboard piece! LOL!
I am sharing a football layout with you today that I created for Creative Embellishments.
Austin played football a few years in high school, so these chipboard pieces were perfect for this layout:

I used The Love of Football chipboard piece for my title and used Lindy's mists to color them. I added a few MAMBI stickers from my stash and machine stitched through a few of them. I popped the "Go Team" one up with craft foam to add some dimension:

I have been dying to try one of the new shaker sets in the store and this Star Shaker Set was perfect for a sports page. I added a variety of sequins and confetti to it. I used ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap attached to put it together. I added the football helmet, colored with Lindy's, from the Football Set on top of the shaker:

I used Distressed Grid Stencil to add some modeling paste to my background and then added watercolors:

This was such a fun and messy layout to create!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Polka Music

Hey there friends!
Today I am sharing a page created for CSI using case file #295.
I used Fancy Pants Cottage Christmas and Carta Bella Christmas Day along with a few other things for this travel layout:

I added layers of patterned papers under my photos, popping the middle one up with foam. I also added a few Simple Stories stickers to that one too. I used Simple Stories triangle stickers to create a banner under the photo and added some machine stitching:

I used Pink Fresh Indigo Hills puffy alphas for my title. I added some Shimelle embellies (ampersand, houses and radio). The hearts and star are from Simple Stories:

Here is the case file:

Lunch By The River

Hey Friends!
I am back to share a layout I have up over at ScraPerfect using The Best Glue Ever and the June & July 2018 Hip Kit Club kits:

I fussy cut the flowers from patterned paper and then colored them with watercolors. I used The Best Glue Ever to adhere them to my layout. I also used the glue to adhere the diecuts, popping some up with foam. The Best Glue Ever holds the foam perfectly!

I added more diecuts and a tag here also using The Best Glue Ever to hold them in place:

For my banner, I used just a dot of glue on every other banner to hold it in place while I added my stitching:

I love this glue and how my layout turned out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Live In The Moment: Creative Embellishments

Hey there friends!
I am back to share a camping layout using some fun Creative Embellishment chipboard pieces.
This photo of us and our camping friends was taken on our annual 4th of July camping trip:

I colored the Live In The Moment chipboard piece with a few different Lindy's mists and used that for my title:

I fussy cut some flowers from the June Hip Kit Club kit and layered them around my photo. I added the Purple Plant sprigs, colored with the same Lindy's mists, under the flowers. Here's the left side:

and the right side:

I added some watercolor to my background. I stitched a few clouds to the top and added a strip of patterned paper to the bottom. I love how this layout turned out! That chipboard is just gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

21

hey there friends!
Today I am sharing my layout for case file #296 at CSI.
I used mostly stuff from the December 2016 and January 2017 Hip Kit Club kits along with a cut file from Paper issues for this layout of Sierra on her 21st birthday:

I backed the cut file with a paper from Paige Evans and then stitched rays with my machine. I added layers of patterned papers and a bag from Whisker Graphics under both photos. I used a chipboard frame and added a diecut rose and an October Afternoon sticker. Finally, I added the number 21 using Thickers:

I added the chipboard word "celebrate" and a few butterflies. I used the bow diecut, but cut some of the white off of it and added the Simple Stories star sticker to the middle:

I used rub-ons from my stash for my title. The word "Birthday" are old Pink Martini alphabet rub-ons. I'm not sure what the "happy" one is, maybe from the Dollar Store. These both have been in my stash forever! I added a few more chipboard pieces and another October Afternoon sticker:

Here is the case file:

This is a stash busting case file. I had a blast taking stuff from my stash and making it new again!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

A New Sketch

Hey there friends,
It's Sunday, that means a new card and layout sketch from Bev at Creative Inspiration. I played along with the card sketch for the design team reval. I used Fancy Pants Holiday Hustle 6x6 paper pad for this Christmas card:

I added black cardstock in my layers to make the card "pop". I fussy cut the trees from one of the papers and popped them up with some craft foam. I added a few diecuts and a bling.
Check out the sketch over on the forum.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you will play along with us this month.

Library

Hey there! Happy September 1st!
Today is the reveal for the September challenge at Creative Embellishments. I used a Paige Evans cut file and cut it out using my Cameo on white cardstock. I backed the cut file using Pink Paislee Horizons papers. I used the April and May Hip Kit Club kits for this layout of Sierra:

I was inspired by the books in the mood board and decided to use books from the Book Set 1 and Books. I used Lindy's mists to color them. I added watercolor to my background and then stamped using brown ink and the Circles Stamp

I love how these books came out! I added that cute bow from the kit and fussy cut the "cool" and "get Lost" from one of the papers:

I tucked in some chipboard and diecuts around the photo:

Head on over to the Creative Embellishment blog and check out the mood board and see what the rest of the creative design team came up with!

First Day of School

Hey there!
Today I am sharing a layout created using case file #294 at CSI.
I used Simple Stories Smarty pants for this layout of Austin on his first day at Mid State last year:

I created a grid and used patterned papers and photos as the base. I scattered in some brads from my stash. I added some Thickers from my stash as well:

I added bits and pieces to the base, popping some stuff up with foam to add some dimension:

I added a few paperclips and did some fussy cutting for my title:

Here's the case file:

This was such a fun layout to create!
Hope you will play along with us!
