Clear Garden Tag

Hey everyone!
I am back to share a fun garden tag with you that I created for Creative Embellishments.
I used a Clear Large Tag for the base of my project:

I added light modeling paste through the Cloud Border Stencil on the tag and then added blue and green mists. I used mists to color the Wood Veneer Sun and Dragon Fly:

I used mists to color the Birdhouse and Birds. I used a black Sharpie for the eyes:

I used a variety of mists to color part of the Large Floral Border 2 and used that as the base of my tag. I added 3 mist colored Wood Veneer Mushrooms. I finished the tag off with some white acrylic paint spatters, Tim Holtz word phrases and ribbon from my stash:

This was such a fun project to create! Plus I love how it came out! I think I will display it on my screened in porch. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Go Anywhere

 Hey there friends!

Today I am sharing my take on the May challenge at Bramble Fox with you. This month, Cheryl choose a monochromatic color challenge. I have to admit, I always seem to struggle a bit with monochromatic challenges at first, but they always come together in the end and I love how they come out! So if you are leary about trying this one, go for it!

I choose to use blues for my layout:

I used papers from PhotoPlay and Echo park, ripped them and then placed on the left side of my page and added some machine stitching. I added watercolor to my background. I used the Go Anywhere perspextive for the title on my page. This piece is gorgeous!

I placed a compass diecut from the Robin's Nest under my photo and added 3 of the Navy Cool Stars on my page, These stars are perfect for all your pages and cards:

I fussy cut the word "wander" from a Simple Stories paper and popped it up with craft foam. I fussy cut the "stories" tab from Paper Snips #001 and added that to the top of my photo:

I tucked in a tag and a fussy cut suitcase to the right of my photo. I also added a stamped and fussy cut daisy and a small tag along with another Navy Cool Star and the "No ordinary Day" pennant from the Paper Snips #001:

Here is the challenge:

I hope you will play along with us this month!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

School Spirit

 Hey everyone!

Today I am up on the Sketches In Thyme blog with my take on sketch #518. I used lots of Paper House from my stash for this layout of Sierra and her friends back when she was an 8th grader. These photos were taken at the bonfire on Thursday night of Homecoming week:

I cut 3 circles from 3 different pattern papers from the orange Colorways 6x6 paper pad. I distressed them and placed them under my photo. I added the "smile" sticker- it's from the Colorways collection as well. I hand cut a tag and added a twine bow:

I added some gold diecuts along with some fussy cut hearts:

I and cut some pennants and placed them under the photo. For my title, I used black alphas from Fancy pants and the pink and gold chipboard alphas are from Hip Kit Club. I also added the sculpted "fun" sticker. I finished the layer off with watered down black acrylic paint spatters:

I added some black lace from my stash. I also added some gold arrows, white triangle diecuts and orange puffy butterflies:

Here is the sketch:

I love how fun and colorful this page came out!
I hope you will play along with us this month.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Love My Boy

Hello there!
I am back with a grungy boy layout that I created for Creative Embellishments. This layout has a photo of Austin that was taken back when he was a freshman in high school, so about 7 years ago:

I added watercolor to my background using the packaging technique. Then I took the Twinkle Star Stencil and added some Distress Oxide Inks through it. I wanted a bit more texture and depth, so I took the Grunge Star Stamp and black ink and stamped that on my background.  I added mists to the Handsome Frame. Once they were dry, I dry brushed some black acrylic paint on it. I backed the frame with black cardstock and added my photo:

I colored the Stars Frame with grey acrylic paint and when it was dry, I dry brushed it with black as well. I love the grungy look this gives! I added a few stickers from Simple Stories and a cork star from Fancy Pants:

I heat embossed the Scribble Guitars and tucked them in between the frames and added some flowers from my stash:

I added this trim and a few more Simple Stories and Tim Holtz stickers from my stash along with some spatters to finish off the page:

I love how this page came out! I challenge you to create a grungy page.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

You Make A Difference

 Hey there friends!

Over at 88 and Clear our assignment this week was to create a project with one of these themes: Palms, Easter or faithful sentiments. I created this card and used a faithful sentiment from Orchard Greetings:

I used Tangy Gum Sugar Stock as my card base and then added a layer of Sour Lime Sugar Stock. Then I added a patterned paper from the Spring Melody Collection. I fussy cut  the key, teapot, cup and flowers from the Spring Melody Collection and added them to my card popping some of them up with craft foam. Finally, finished the card off with a sentiment from Orchard Greetings and some sprinkles of Dazzling Pat:

I love these colors together! It's like a pop of fresh air!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

For my title, I used the gold "the best" from Crate Paper and added the fussy cut "Hello Spring" from the Rabbit Blooms collection:

The pink and blue flowers are from another paper in the collection. I added the pearls to these as well. I also fussy cut the black and white flowers from the collection. I added in a few Tim Holtz word phrase stickers along with some spatters made from Sweet Blue Sugar Cube and water:

Bathroom

 Hello there scrappy friends!

I have a layout to share for CSI today using case file #386 along with lots of stuff from my stash. After almost a year, we finally have a bathroom in the basement! We contacted the contracter back in December of 2020. He was suppose to start the fall of 2021. Covid hit his family, I am sad to say his wife passed away from it. He started the bathroom at the end of January and finished mid February. I love how it turned out and had to create a layout:

I used alphas from October Afternoon, Making Memories and Thickers for my title:

I used papers from:
Orange striped- Fancy pants
Brown- My Little Shoebox
Chartreuse- Websters Pages

I added in some fussy cut flowers, cork arrows and frames from Fancy Pants. I added a metal book plate from making Memories:

I also tucked in a bow made from sheer ribbon and some Dew Drops from Robin's Nest:

Check out the cute wood elephant! He's been in my stash for quite some time:

I love all the bits and pieces of stash I was able to use on this page!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hey there!
Today I am sharing a family layout with you that I created for Creative Embellishments. This photo- my kids, some cousins and their grandmother is from 2010. I used Fancy Pants Meology along with a few CE chipboard pieces:

I added some torn strips of patterned papers on the left side of my page and added some machine stitching. I colored three of the Family ATC Coins with a black Sharpie and then backed them with patterned papers. I fussy cut the camera from one of the papers:

Here is another one of the Family ATC Coins. I used a pink Sharpie to color the heart. I added some fussy cut flowers, the "Say cheese" and some gold stars from Fancy Pants Millie & June:

Here is the 3rd ATC Coin I used- love the family tree in it:

The "Grandmother" chipboard piece is from the Family Words set. I colored this with a Sharpie and then added the gold "Grandma" piece under and overlapping:
