Life Is...

Hey !
I am back as promised to share my second layout for the November challenges at CSI.
I used My Minds Eye from my stash and a cut file from the Silhouette store for this page. I backed the cut file with 3 different patterned papers and adhered them with The Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect.  I added some watercolor to my white cardstock and then added that on top of the brown patterned paper. Finally I added a torn strip of the green patterned paper and some stitching:

I hand cut a few tags from patterned papers and added some string. I added a few buttons and a sticker popped up with foam:

I fussy cut the green/brown flowers from patterned paper and popped a few up with foam as well. I layered a few papers behind my photo and added a sticker on top of my photo:

Here is a small border along the bottom of the page:

Here is the fun case file

I used the colors. For the testimony, I used something I love to do- play bean bags.
Here's the evidence:
tags, ruler, fussy cutting and string

I am so glad you stopped by!
Enjoy the rest of your day!

The Fam

Hey there!
Happy Monday! I had a hard time going back to work today after having a long Thanksgiving weekend.
I managed to find some scrappy time this weekend and played along with the 2 monthly challenges at CSI.
I am sharing one today and I will share the other tomorrow.
I used Simple Stories for this layout:

I hand cut the banners and then fussy cut the red and grey hearts. I also fussy cut the "Love" from one of the cards and the doily was fussy cut from a card as well. I added a chipboard wood grain heart to the top.

I added the wood veneer "us" painted with mists. I also added some misting and stitching throughout my page.

Here is the case file:

I used the colors along and gratitude journaling prompt with these items from the evidence:
stripes
hearts
wood/ woodgrain

Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Cousins

Hello and happy Thanksgiving!
It's my day up over on the Sketches In Thyme blog today.
Last summer we had a family reunion on my hubbys side and Sierra got to spend a little bit of time with her cousins. Of course, I had to scrap a few of the pics that were taken.
I used Fancy Pants Family & Co and a few Teresa Collins word stickers and came up with this fun page:

I added watercolor to my background after stitching a messy circle with my sewing machine and navy thread:

I added a few diecuts from the ephemera pack along with some Teresa Collins word stickers:

More diecuts and a tag:

Here is the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by nad have a great time with your family!

Stuck?!

Hey there!
I had some time last weekend and used the November 15th at Stuck?! Sketches as a jump start for a layout. I challenged myself not to use white cardstock as my background. Instead I used black. I am not crazy about how this layout came out and wish I would have used white cardstock and watercolors, lol!
I used Cocoa Vanilla for this layout along with a cut file from Just Nick:

I added some patterned papers and a bit of machine stitching. I popped up some of the embellishments with foam tape to add some dimension.

I also added some machine stitching to the cut file. I finished the layout off with some Bella Blvd stars and some mist spatters.

Here is Laura's fun sketch:

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

My Snow Angels

Hey there!
I was digging through some photos and found this one of my kids when they were younger. Sierra was probably 4 and Austin 2.
I used lots of Echo park stash for this page along with an acetate sheet from Paper House Productions and The Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect.

I placed the snowflake acetate on top of white cardstock and then added some of The Best Glue Ever under the acetate where I would be placing my photo. This held the acetate in place until I added some stitching.
Then I added some layers of patterned papers under my photo and held them together using The Best Glue Ever:

I added a snowflake sticker, which I also added some of the Best Glue Ever to. Since the sticker was older, it wasn't all that sticky, so the glue helps it stick better to the acetate. I also added a flourish and stitched it in place:

I popped up the house and post with craft foam and then adhered it to the layout with the Best Glue Ever:

I used a variety of alphas for my title from the Echo park collections and noticed as I was taking these photos that I will have to add some of The Best Glue Ever with the no clog writing cap. This has a small tip that is perfect to get glue in all those small spaces.

This layout was also based on a sketch over at Creative Inspiration:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

It's Only Paper

Hello!
It's only paper, that's the theme for the new card challenge posted at Cards In Envy.
The challenge- use only paper on your card- no stamping, no embellies and no ribbon, unless it's a paper ribbon.

I used a card cut file from the Silhouette store and cut it on my Cameo. Then I backed it with different patterned papers from Basic Grey Juniper Berry. Finally, I used a black marker and added faux stitching. Then I added some Heidi Swapp black spatters:

I love how this turned out and will be using more of these cut files!

Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful day!

Hey there scrappy friends!
With Sierra being home and the hunters I had staying with us, I managed to get a layout done this weekend!

I fussy cut the butterfly and words from one of the papers and added some stitching. I also added a stamped phrase and date:

Fremont Street

Hey there!
Happy Saturday!
Popping in real quick to share a page I created for a lift challenge at Paper Issues. I used Pebbles Girl Squad and the teal paper is from Amy Tan On A Whim for this fun page:

I backed this cute frame with one of the papers from the collection and fussy cut some flowers:

These diecuts were perfect of this page about my friends and I in Vegas:

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hello Fall!

Hello!
Today starts the November mini crop at Creative Inspiration.
My challenge is to use leaves on your project. I used my Cameo, a leaves cut file from The Cut Shoppe and the "Hello fall" cut file from Silhouette along with PhotoPlay Autumn Day for this fun fall layout:

I created my background using watercolors. I also painted the leaves and title with watercolors:

I adore those foxes! I fussy cut those from one of the papers. I also added a few fussy cut small leaves:

I added some fussy cut trees and that cute wagon with the pumpkins that has been in my stash forever:

I love how this layout came out! It was so fun to create.
Hope you will check out the rest of the design team challenges!

Enjoy your day!

BGE

Hey there!
I am up on the ScraPerfect blog today to share a quick and easy way to reattach the rubber on the bottom of your shoe.
One of my favorite pair of tennis shoes for work, had a loose piece of rubber on the bottom of it.  I grabbed my bottle of the Best Glue Ever:

I took the Best Glue Ever and squeezed a bit under it.

Then I put a heavy can of paint on it and let it dry over night.
This was the result:

This glue has replaced quite a few different bottles of other glues in my home.
Try it, you will love it!

A Shaker Card

Hey there!
I am  here today to share a fast and easy way to create a shaker card.
I used Simple Stories for my card:

I have lots of chipboard frames in my stash, so I took one of them and some clear packaging:

I added the Best Glue Ever to the top of my frame:

and then placed the clear packaging on top, making sure it was smooth:

I cut off the excess packaging and cut a piece of patterned paper to cover the back of the frame:

Then I placed sequins on top of the packaging on the backside:

I added some of The Best Glue Ever:

and placed the cardstock over it. Make sure that the side of the cardstock you want to see in the shaker is towards the sequins:

Create your card base and add the shaker. Then decorate it with a few embellishments.

Here's my finished card again:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
