Together

Hey there friends!
Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you enjoy lots of family time today!
I am  back to share another layout with you using some fun Creative Embellishment chipboard. This layout is of Sierra and her boyfriend Robin in Marburg, Germany last summer:

I backed a cutfile from the Silhouette store with patterned papers from the August and September Hip Kit Club kits. Then I machine stitched around the outer edges of it. I used Heidi Swapp Color Shine and misted 4 of the roses from Rose Set 1, I had 2 sets. I used Lindy's mist to color some of the leaves from the Rose Leaves:

I created a frame from the roses and leaves under my photo. I used the together piece as my title and added some colored dots from the kit as well:

I added a heart puffy sticker from the kit on the photo. I also added some Heidi Swapp and Simple Stories stickers. Here's a closer look at it the frame I created:

I just love how this page came out and I love my frame around the photo! Thanks for stopping by and I will be back soon!

How To Jazz Up A Diecut

Hey there friends!
I am back to share a fun way to jazz up your diecuts.
Gather your supplies:
I used the Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap attached, Foil Transfer Sheets in gold, silver and red and a premade diecut from Fancy Pants:

I added the Best Glue Ever to the ornaments on the tree. I then took a paintbrush and spread it out evenly. Notice the glue is white:

I let it dry for about 10 minutes while I created the base of my card. Once the glue was clear (this means it is dry, but still tacky) I placed a sheet of the  Transfer Foil over the ornement I wanted that color. I used my finger to rub or burnish it:

Pull the foil sheet off and you have sparkly ornaments:

I fussy cut some of the white border off the tree and my sentiment.
Here's my card using Fancy pants Cottage Christmas:

I popped the sentiment up with craft foam and love using the Best Glue Ever to adhere it to my card. I never have to worry about it coming off:

Hope this gives you some idea how to add a little sparkle to your diecuts!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Munich

Hello again!
Today I am sharing a layout created for Sketches In Thyme. I used the September Hip Kit Club kit for this travel page of us in Munich. My son picked out a restaurant he wanted to go to within walking distance from the hotel he said, well it ended up being a long ways. I have lots of journaling on this layout to tell the story:

I hand cut the pennants under the photos and title. I added stamped hearts and enamel dots:

I added a layered embellie, more enamel dots, and some fussy cut flowers:

I fussy cut the small words for my title and used the iridescent Thickers for the rest:

I love how this layout came out!

CSI Case File #301

Hey friends!
It's November 1st already! That means time for a new case file at CSI. I was inspired by the colors and used JilliBean Soup Mushroom Medley for this layout:

When I saw the testimony topic, I immediately thought of this frame from JilliBean Soup, I think they call it a placemat if I remember right. I decided to make this the focal of my layout (besides my photo) and place the title there. I added lots of diecuts to the top and a few on the left side of it. I used some old red rub-ons for the word "these". I used a few old alphas for the rest of my title. The "3" is from Bella Blvd, I think. The "make" is Making Memories and the "me" is Authentique:

Here are a lot more fun diecuts, some I popped up on foam to add some dimension. I added a Tim Holtz sticker here as well:

I used alphas from JilliBean Soup for the word "family" and added the diecut word 'adventure" as my sub title. I popped up a few diecut clouds:

Here is the case file:

This was such a fun and whimsical layout to create!

Explore

Hey there friends!

I'm back to share a layout with you created for Creative Embellishments. This photo of Sierra and I was taken while we were on vacation in Germany this summer:

I added water color to my background and then fussy cut a bunch of flowers from the September Hip Kit Club kit. I added both bird cages from the Bird Cage Set 2. I colored them with Lindy's mists. I added a fussy cut flower and a word phrase on top of each one:

For my title, I used the word "Explore" from the Adventure Word Set. I colored this with Lindy's mists as well:

I love how this layout came out! Hope you will grab your scissors, do some fussy cutting and add some chipboard from CE! Enjoy your day!

A Foiled Sentiment

Hey there friends!
I'm back to share a fun technique with you- foiling chipboard!
I used Fancy Pants Cottage Christmas for this fun Christmas card:

I added the Best Glue Ever to the front of the words using the No Clog Writing Cap attached:

I spread the glue around using a paintbrush and let it dry until it was clear. The glue is still tacky:

Place the Transfer Foil sheet on top of the glue, foil side up. Rub with your finger. You can usually see the shape underneath:

Here's the outcome! I love it! So sparkly and perfect for a Christmas card!

I usually run the Perfect Crafting Pouch over both sides of the chipboard to remove and sticky residue the glue has left behind:

I adhere the sentiment to my card by using a few dots of the Best Glue Ever:

The Best Glue Ever is also my favorite for adhering diecuts popped up on craft foam to my projects:

Here's a close up of my card:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I used gold Thickers for my title:

I used a black marker and doodled around my photo. I added a few more stickers and fussy cut flowers:

You Got This!

Hey there friends!
Today I am sharing a layout created for case file # 300 at CSI.
I was inspired by the colors and desk. I used lots of stash for this page:

The blue paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle. I added a sticker from Heidi Swapp (gold), Echo park (pencil, smile, for real and Tuesday. The white flair with gold stars is from Creative Embellishments:

I added a wood veneer from Evalicious and colored it with Gelatos. I added more stickers here from Heidi Swapp and Echo park. I fussy cut the hearts from one of the Echo park patterned papers. The mason jars were fussy cut from a JilliBean paper:

The orange and pink papers are from Allison Kreft. I placed my photo on black cardstock punched with a notebook border punch:

Here is the case file:

Hope you will join in the fun and play along with us! They are always lots of wonderful prizes up for grabs!

Creative Embellishments November Challenge

Hi there friends!
I can't believe it is November already! Where is this year going?!
The November challenge is up at Creative Embellishments and Nicole has a gift certificate for one person who plays along.
I used some sunset photos across the lake from our camping trip over Labor Day. The trees were just starting to turn colors on the other side of the lake. Here is my take on the challenge:

My background turned out completely different than what I had in mind. I started out with just a bit around the larger photo and kept going, LOL! I love how it turned out!
I used the Paradise chipboard piece and colored it with Lindy's mists. I added a few leave pieces from the Fall Leaves wood veneers. I colored them with Lindy's mist:

I used a frame from the Autumn Frame Set and colored it with Lindy's mists as well. I added a few fussy cut flowers:

The word "Grateful" came from the Autumn Sentiments set. I added a few Thicker dots:

I also added a few wood veneer Acorns around the larger photo:

I added a few fussy cut butterflies and a Heart  colored with the Lindy's Mists as well:

Here is the moodboard and the challenge is to use wood on your project:

I was inspired by the upper left photo in the mood board, the browns and the words "grateful" and "blessed".
Hope you find some time this month to play along with us!
