Life Is A Beautiful Ride!

Hey there! Welcome back to my blog!

Today I am sharing a layout created for Sketches In Thyme using sketch #494. I stuck pretty much to the sketch. I cannot take credit for the photos as these are some of Austin's senior pics taken by M&H Photography. I used Carta Bella Summer:

I added some watercolor spatters to my white cardstock background. I usually don't use many flowers on my pages of Austin, but I just loved the colors in this collection and thought they went well with his shirt. I fussy cut the flowers and truck, popping the truck up with foam to add some dimension:

I added a few layers of patterned papers under my photos and tucked in a few word phrase stickers from the collection:

I fussy cut the bike and title from one of the 6x4 cards and added that to my bottom border:

Here is the sketch:

This collection is gorgeous! I will definately be using it again soon.
Hope you will play along with us this month!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

 Hey there friends!

While the guys are out hunting, I am prepping dinner for them and making Christmas cards!

I am so far behind on making cards this year. Usually I have most of them done by now.

I used a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap and Carta Bella Farmhouse Christmas for this card:

Believe- Home Decor

 Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing a Christmas home decor piece I created using the Believe birch wood word from Creative Embellishments.

This was the first time I used crackle paste and I love the results I got with it! I added Gesso to the wood piece. Then I added red acrylic paint. Then I added the crackle paste and let dry a few days. I later learned I would not have had to do either one of these because I was using crackle paste that was white opaque. Live and learn, lol! When it was dry, I painted it red with acrylic paint that I watered down a bit. Here's my piece:

I colored the Santa's Sleigh and Holly and Berry Set with acrylic paints and let them dry. Then I added a thin layer of crackle paste. It didn't crackle but I loved the snowy result I got:

Finally, I added white paint and gold mist spatters:

I love how this piece came out and will be displaying it in my house this holiday season.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I was inspired by the colors in the case file. I added lots of tickets and layers under my photo:

I used the Starburst Stencil from Creative Embellishments and Distress Oxides on my background. I layered in a few chipboard frames:

I added in a few old fabric brads, I think they are maybe from MME or Fancy Pants?

The "Cheeky" plastic piece is from Heidi Swapp and has been in my stash forever. I tucked in a few leaves from Pretty Little Studio along with other bits and pieces:

Hey there friends!
I am back to share a travel layout of Sierra with you. I used the Mintay Next Trip 6x6 paper pad along with some fun embellishments from Creative Embellishments on this layout:

I added some water to a few Distress Oxides to create my background. Then added some black spatters using acrylic paint and a bit of water. I used the words "Always Be Yourself" from the Every Day Word Set and added the same Distress Oxides to create the title:

At the top right, I added a gold moon from the Mirror Gold Moon Set. These are gorgeous, but I always have a hard time photographing them:

I used the same Oxide inks to color the Wing Set 3 Small and placed one on each side of my photo. I also tucked in a few Mirror Acrylic Gold Stars

This layout is so soft and pretty and I love how it came out! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!

We Are Family

 Hey everyone!

I have a new layout to share with you that I created for Creative Embellishments using the November challege, which is a sketch. I used Bella Blvd papers along with some CE goodies on this page of my family:

I love using sketches for my layouts. It is a quick way to put a layout together. On my background, I added modeling paste through the Distressed Circle Stencil.  I let it dry and then added watercolor. I added some torn strips of patterned papers and then machine stitched them
I added acrylic paint to the Grunge Circle Frame and a Grunge Mini Frame. I added my photo to the larger one and backed the mini one with patterned paper.

I used the We Are Family piece for my title and colored it with mists:

I fussy cut some flowers and added those to my page:

I can't wait to see what you come up with using the sketch!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
