So Cold- Creative Embellishments

Hey there friends!
I am back to share a winter layout with you using some fabulous Creative Embellishment chipboard and acrylic pieces along with Echo Park and P13 papers.
I started this layout by tucking my 4x6 photo behind the Window and Shutter Frame and went from there. I asked Nicolle at CE to create the window and shutter frame and love what she did! It's amazing!!

To create my background, I used the Grunge Snowflake Stamp and a soft blue ink. I added in a few trees cut that I cut with my Cricut from P13 Cosy Winter papers. I used a Tim Holtz Distress Stain to color the Window and Shutters Frame and then spattered it with white acrylic paint. It's hard to see in the photo, but if you look closely, I used a brown ink and the Distressed Crackle Stamp to add some texture to the shutters. I used some very old Making Memories acetate alphas for my title. I added a Frosted Blue Acrylic Snowflake to the letter "O" and then placed a White Snowflake on top:

I added some Gesso and heat  embossed the Icicle Frame in white and then added a layer of Sparkle Embossing Powder. I placed that on top of the window using ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever. I colored the "Chilly" word with 2 layers of Gesso, a layer of white acrylic paint and then a few different inks. I added a few glitter snowflake stickers.

I added 2 layers of Gesso, white acrylic paint and then white embossing powder, heat embossed and then added some Sparkle Embossing powder to 3 of the Chipboard Snowflakes and added them to my layout:

I added Gesso, white acrylic paint and inks to the word "Frozen". I added in a few Frosted Blue Acrylic Snowflakes. Have you seen these? They are gorgeous! I added a few Tim Holtz word phrase stickers:

I added some patterned papers from Echo Park Winter Magic to the top and bottom of my page. At the top, I also added an Icicle Border and Chipboard Snowflake that I colored with Gesso and acrylic paint. I heat embossed them both with white and Sparkle Embossing powders:

This layout is so dimensional and I love how it came out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I colored a few of the images with my Caliart Markers. I popped up one of them with foam and placed a bow from the Black Taffy Twine under it. I used a sentiment from the kit and popped that up with foam as well:

I love the soft colors in this fun kit!

Create Home Decor

Hey there friends!
I am back to share a home decor piece I made to hang in my scrappy room using the Create Word Home Decor piece along with a few other chippies from Creative Embellishments
I added crackle paste to the laser engraved and cut 3/16" thick  plywood create word. I let this dry overnight. Then I added a black Lindy's mist and let dry again. Finally I added acrylic paint spatters:

I painted a rainbow on white cardstock using the colors of acrylic paint that I used on the other chipboard pieces and put it in the easel from the Artist Create Collection. The paint containers and tube are from this collection as well:

I used acrylic paints to color the painters tray, brushes and tube of piant. These are all from the Artist Create Collection as well. I painted the word "Art" from the Inspire Word Set with acrylic paint.

I added an Art Flair along with 2 paintbrushes from the Artist Create Collection:

I love creating home decor pieces and I am so excited to hang this in my scrappy room!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Wedding Fun!

Hey there friends!

Happy belated Valentine's Day!

Have you seen the case files for February at CSI? We would love to have you play along with us! Just be inspired by something and tell us what it is. Here's my take on case file #381 using mostly Echo Park Yours Truley from my stash. I used a selphie of Greg and I taken at a wedding in October for this layout:

I added some layers of patterned papers and fussy cut items to my white cardstock backgound. I used acrylic paint to color this Creative Embellishments Arched Window and tucked it partly under my photo. I love how the red just pops:

I used a black Sharpie to color the wood veneer arrow from my stash and then added some Hip Kit epoxy hearts on top. I tucked in a piece of lace under the photo.  I added the double heart brad and placed a wood veneer Mr. & Mrs. heart on top. I added some bling and some Tim Holtz word phrase stickers:

I had all the colors except for the green in the case file, so I added a torn strip of Bella Blvd. washi tape and machine stitched it. I also tucked in a scalloped paper from my stash, not sure of the brand, but it is really old:

I struggled with this case file at first, but once I found these papers, it was so easy to add all the bits and pieces! AND, I used lots of stash!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Spunky Older Broads

 Hey there scrappy friends!

I am back to share a fun layout with you that I created for CSI using case file #380 along with lots of my stash. I love using my stash and making it look new again!

I used a photo of myself and 2 of my friends from a few years ago. We do an annual shopping trip in the fall- the photo of the ladies on the case file reminded me of us so I decided to scrap it. I was also inspired by the colors:

I added the yellow striped (Echo Park) and black with white polka dotted (Simple Stories) papers to my white cardstock background. Then added some machine stitching. I added a bow using a sheer green with white polka dot ribbon around the left side of my photo. I also added 2 different ric-raks on the bottom of it:

On the white cardstock background, I added inks through 2 different stencils- Hero Arts Leaves and Prima checker. Then I used black ink on the Distressed Crackle and the Distressed Text Stamps from Creative Embellishments and stamped on top. I backed the photo with 2 papers from Echo Park:

I added in an arrow and the "lookin' good" clear stickers from Simple Stories. The heart sticker is from Simple Stories. I added in a few diecuts from Pretty Little Studio and a word phrase sticker from Tim Holtz. For my title, I used Thickers (yellow) and Doodlebug Design (green):

The "Oh yes" is another clear sticker from Simple Stories. I punched a few butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch. I added in a few fussy cut flowers from a Bella Blvd. paper and some bling:

In the bottom cluster, I added a label sticker, a punched butterfly, a few clear black stickers from Simple Stories and some punched sprigs:

I absolutely love how this page came out!
Come play along with us this month!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Lunch Lady

Hey there friends!
I am back to share another layout with you that I created for Creative Embellishments
I recently retired as the food service director (aka lunch lady) at the local school. This is the wonderful group of ladies I worked with. This layout is dedicated to them and all the hard work they did to feed the kids:

I tore papers from Heidi Swapp and Vicki Boutin and machine stitched them down the left side of my page. I added Vicki Boutin diecuts around my photo. I colored the Lunch Lady title piece with Heidi Swapp Color Shine:

I colored a Mini Pocket Watch with a black Sharpie and tucked that in the lower right corner of the photo. I added 3 banner diecuts from Vicki Boutin and machine stitched 2 of them and the other I popped up with foam to add some dimension:

This was such a fun layout to create and I love how it came out! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Enjoy Your Day

Hey there friends!

Today I am sharing a card I created for 88 and Clear using the February card sketch. I used Sweet Pink Sugar Stock for my base and then added a layer of Sweet Blue Sugar Stock. I used a patterned paper from the Spring Melody Collection on top:

I used the These Hearts to diecut the heart from Sweet Pink Sugar Stock. I fussy cut some of the elements from the Colored Emphemera and added those on top of the heart. I added a sentiment from the Take A Break DigiNext Collection. I finished the card off with some Powder Sugar Twine:

Here's the sketch:
