Cheese Curds

Hey there Scrappy Friends!
I have a fun tutorial up on the ScraPerfect Blog today using heat embossing and Transfer Foils.
Here is my layout using this technique along with October Afternoon Girl Talk and the November 14th sketch from Creative Inspiration.

I fussy cut the flower bunches from patterned paper. I also used a few cardstock word phrases from Elle's Studio:

I added some watercolors to my embossed foil background:

I added some fussy cut feathers, a tag and some Thickers:

I would love if you would check out my tutorial!

Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

AARGH!

Hey there!
I am back today to share a layout I have up on the Sketches In Thyme Blog today.
I used Elle's Studio and a photo of Austin dressed up as a pirate on Halloween in 2009 for this fun page:

I layered some journal spots and a branding strip in the bottom right corner:

I used the "This Makes Me Smile"  and "You Are My Treasure"cut aparts for my title:

I fussy cut the yellow chevrons, added some stitching and used the "Details" card for my journaling. I also used Fancy Pants alphas for a few subtitles:

I fussy cut the word bubble and once again used Fancy Pants alphas:

Here is the sketch:
I love it!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great  day!

Pico De Gallo

Hey there Scrappy Friends.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
I am headed back to work today after a nice long, relaxing Thanksgiving weekend, in which I had some scrappy time. I decided to play along with the November 15th sketch at Stuck?! and use some of my October Afternoon stash. I used Modern Homemaker and Girl Talk. Sierra has been working at Taco John's the last few years and learned how to make Pico de Gallo there and decided to make it for us at home. Yup, it was so good!

I added a bit of watercolor to my background using the packaging technique. For my title I used mini and regular alphas from OA and also added in a few Studio Calico phrase stickers.

I hand cut a tag from a few of the papers, added some fussy cut bowls
and also added a punched & torn border.

Another fussy cut bowl along with a fussy cut spoon and a few stickers.

I added a few of the ephemera pieces from the OA Boy Talk line.

Here is the sketch:

Have a great Monday!

One More...

I'm Back!
I forgot to share this card I made a few weeks ago for a sketch challenge at Sketch-N-Scrap.
I used some stickers and cardstock I purchased last year from the local scrapbook store and came up with this fun nontraditional colored card:

Here is the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by and stay scrappy!

Sketch-N-Scrap

Hey there!
I am back with another post for today.
I am sharing a Christmas card I created using a sketch at Sketch-N-Scrap.
I used a Recollections 6x6 paper pack I picked up at Michaels a few weeks ago and came up with this card:

Here is the fun sketch:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!

Wedding Tag Tie On

Hey there! I hope you are having a fantastic weekend!
Today I am sharing a quick and easy embellishment to make that I have up over on the ScraPerfect Blog today. These are perfect to add to a scrapbook page, a card or a gift.

Start by cutting a 1 1/2" x 12" strip of patterned paper:

Using a score board, score ever 1/4":

Add a thin strip of ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever:

Once it dries clear, take a sheet of ScraPerfect's Foil Transfer, place it over the glue and rub:

This is what it looks like:

Begin at one end and accordion fold the entire strip:

Add the Best Glue Ever to one end and glue to the other end of the strip:

This is what it looks like. Add the Best Glue Ever to a scrap piece of paper. I used a scalloped punched circle:

Flatten the accordion piece on top of the circle and hold until dry. This just takes a minute:

Embellish, I used Paper House Productions paper and a 3D Sticker on mine along with some tangled thread and stickpins.

Here is a side view:

This is a great way to use up scraps and miscellaneous embellishments!

Las Vegas

Hey there Scrappy Friends!
Have you ever been to Vegas? I love it there, so much to see and do! Friends and I went out there for Spring Break this year and took in a lot of free stuff, of course we did do a bit of gambling while there also.
I have a fun Vegas layout to share with you using a variety of Paper House Productions products.

  Las Vegas

Las Vegas Layout Supplies:

I started my layout out by adding Gesso to my background paper. Once that was dry, I added some watercolor. The Gesso helps in mixing the watercolors better and also toned down the words a bit. I added some of the Footprints Paper behind my photo and added some stitching. I added the "Say yes to adventure" tag  to the right of my photo and added the fun "awesome" cork sticker and 3D cards sticker. I also added a cluster of hearts I cut on my Cameo.

I added a strip of the France Tags paper to the top of my page and stitched in place. I also added a sticker popped up with foam tape and one of the Puffy Butterflies.

  Las Vegas close up 5

For my title, I used the "hello" rub-on and cut the "Las Vegas" from my Cameo. I also added a bunch of messy stitching as well.

I love this fun Puffy Camera Sticker! It was perfect for this page.

Check out that "Love it!" cork sticker! Yup, I love that too! And whats a Vegas layout without dice? I added a few strips of papers down on the bottom of the layout using the Discover Tags Paper and the Italian Words Paper.

If you have some travel pages to scrap, these goodies that I used are perfect. Go checkout the store! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

October Project 12 Layout

Hello!
It's that time again! Time to share my Project 12 layout and sketch for October over at Creative Inspiration. Each month I create a 2 page sketch and layout to use with the previous months photos. This is a great way for me to use some of those photos that I normally wouldn't scrap.
I used Simple Stories We Are Family for this 2 pager:

Here is the left side:

The right side:

and a few close ups:
I used a mask and Heidi Swapp mist to create my background on white cardstock. Then I added some paint spatters:

I love this cute chipboard banner:

I added a few chipboard frames and a few more smaller banners:

I used some Thickers for my title:

Here is the sketch I created:

This year is just flying by! Before you know it, it will be 2017!

50

Hey there friends,
I am here to share a layout I created for my mini crop challenge over at Creative Inspiration.
My challenge is to use a premade banner on your project.
I used Simple Stories Let's Party for this birthday layout of my friends and I celebrating my 50th in May:

I am a big fan of Missy Whidden's work and totally lifted her 40th birthday page. Her page looks so much better than mine, but I am happy with the way mine turned out.
I cut the "50" out using my Cameo and then added patterned paper behind it. Then I hand stitched around the numbers using embroidery floss.
I added some watercolor to my background and then started embellishing. The larger banner is a sticker that I adhered to white cardstock and then fussy cut around it. The smaller banners were fussycut from papers. I added a cute yellow frame and a few diecuts:

I fussy cut the letters for celebrate out of patterned paper and added a few fun pennants:

I added some more fun diecuts, an American Crafts Stamp and some Fancy Pants Sequins:

More diecuts, stamping and sequins:

I added a frame I cut in half to each side of the photo and added the "Hip hip hooray" diecut.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
