Comfort & Joy: CSI

 Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #424 at CSI. I used a variety of manufacturers on this layout of Sierra opening her gifts last Christmas:

I added part of a Fancy Pants tag and an ornament on top of the page and fussy cut a circle from a Recollections paper. I added a diecut snowflake from Hip Kit:

I created a piece of candy on my background using watercolor and hand stitching with embroidery floss. I backed the large photo with a Mintay paper. I fussy cut a few more red circles from the Recollections paper. I added some fussy cut stars from a Mintay paper. I added that cute fox and a diecut snowflake from Hip Kit:

I used a scalloped edge punch on the pink Hip Kit paper and added a few pieces throughout my page. I added some fussy cut gifts cut from a Recollections paper. The gingerbread people were saved from something I received:

I fussy cut the house from a Recollections paper. I added the plate of goodies that I fussy cut from a Mintays paper. I also tucked in a puffy sticker from Hip Kit, the santa sticker from Fancy Pants and a miscellaneous gold diecut label:

I found this wood snowflake in my stash- it's been there for many years. I also added some Fancy Pants star puffy stickers:

Here's a quick look at the case file:

I was inspired by the candy and colors. For evidence, I used: dots, stripes, architectural elements, heart, candy, swirls, string, stars, sprinkle something, scallops, circles, wood, something sparkly and solid background. For my testimony, I documented something about Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I added diecuts and patterned papers behind my photos and then added a Travel Clippie to the top of both of them:

I used Fox Cut #28 along with Oxide Inks to create my background. I also scattered a few Cool Stars and this is the other Travel Clippie:

I added some more stencil work here along with another Cool Star. The "totally awesome" is from Paper Snips #008:

I fussy cut the suitcase, bag and ticket. I added the diecut leaf from Pretty Little Studio, a few Carpe Diem sticker phrases, another Cool Star and the "explore'" and "ticket to adventure" are from the Paper Snips #008:

I fussy cut the compass from one of the papers, added a diecut heart from a HipKit Club kit and a diecut frame from Pretty Little Studios:

The Best Journey...

Hello!
Today I am sharing a layout I created for Creative Embellishments. This selfie is of Greg and I in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. I used chippies and flair from the CE store along with Fancy Pants  On Our Way 6x6 paper pad for this fun page:

I added watercolor to my background. I added a few of the patterned papers behind my photo and popped it up with craft foam. For my title, I heat embossed The Best Journey Always Takes Us Home chippie. I added a few flair from the Smile Set:

I fussy cut the small cards from one of the papers and staggered them across my page. I used a Nuvo Glitter Marker to color 3 of the Monarch Butterflies:

I heat embossed one of the Mini Houses and added that to the lower left of my photo:

I finished of the layout with some black watercolor spatters. I enjoyed creating this fun travel page! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Bathroom

 Hello there scrappy friends!

I have a layout to share for CSI today using case file #386 along with lots of stuff from my stash. After almost a year, we finally have a bathroom in the basement! We contacted the contracter back in December of 2020. He was suppose to start the fall of 2021. Covid hit his family, I am sad to say his wife passed away from it. He started the bathroom at the end of January and finished mid February. I love how it turned out and had to create a layout:

I used alphas from October Afternoon, Making Memories and Thickers for my title:

I used papers from:
Orange striped- Fancy pants
Brown- My Little Shoebox
Chartreuse- Websters Pages

I added in some fussy cut flowers, cork arrows and frames from Fancy Pants. I added a metal book plate from making Memories:

I also tucked in a bow made from sheer ribbon and some Dew Drops from Robin's Nest:

Check out the cute wood elephant! He's been in my stash for quite some time:

I love all the bits and pieces of stash I was able to use on this page!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Here is another one of the Family ATC Coins. I used a pink Sharpie to color the heart. I added some fussy cut flowers, the "Say cheese" and some gold stars from Fancy Pants Millie & June:

Here is the 3rd ATC Coin I used- love the family tree in it:

The "Grandmother" chipboard piece is from the Family Words set. I colored this with a Sharpie and then added the gold "Grandma" piece under and overlapping:

This Place

Hey Scrappy Friends!

Have you seen the March case files at CSI yet? I am sharing my take on case file #382 using lots of bits and pieces from my stash:

I was inspired by the colors and kites in the case file. I took patterned paper scraps from Authentique, Pink Paislee and Fancy Pants and created my own kites. I added machine stitching to them, left thread tails and added an Amy Tan bow to a few. I used a title from Crate Paper Oasis:

I hand cut my sun, added some machine stitching and added the sun diecut from Dear Lizzie Star Gazer. I also added the Super SaturYay diecut and word phrase stickers from Dear Lizzie. I fussy cut the pinwheels from an Echo Park paper and added a piece of bling to each one:

I fussy cut the bikes from a Dear Lizzie paper, I think. I added some bling and some fussy cut clouds that I hand stitched:

This was such a fun layout to create and I love how it came out!

I created a rainbow using scraps of patterned papers from Echo Park, then added machine stitching in matching thread to each.  I added some speech bubbles from Fancy Pants Be Different, which I stamped hearts and the date on. I also added a wood veneer sun from Creative Embellishments that I colored yellow with a Sharpie:
