Comfort & Joy: CSI

 Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #424 at CSI. I used a variety of manufacturers on this layout of Sierra opening her gifts last Christmas:

I added part of a Fancy Pants tag and an ornament on top of the page and fussy cut a circle from a Recollections paper. I added a diecut snowflake from Hip Kit:

I created a piece of candy on my background using watercolor and hand stitching with embroidery floss. I backed the large photo with a Mintay paper. I fussy cut a few more red circles from the Recollections paper. I added some fussy cut stars from a Mintay paper. I added that cute fox and a diecut snowflake from Hip Kit:

I used a scalloped edge punch on the pink Hip Kit paper and added a few pieces throughout my page. I added some fussy cut gifts cut from a Recollections paper. The gingerbread people were saved from something I received:

I fussy cut the house from a Recollections paper. I added the plate of goodies that I fussy cut from a Mintays paper. I also tucked in a puffy sticker from Hip Kit, the santa sticker from Fancy Pants and a miscellaneous gold diecut label:

I found this wood snowflake in my stash- it's been there for many years. I also added some Fancy Pants star puffy stickers:

Here's a quick look at the case file:

I was inspired by the candy and colors. For evidence, I used: dots, stripes, architectural elements, heart, candy, swirls, string, stars, sprinkle something, scallops, circles, wood, something sparkly and solid background. For my testimony, I documented something about Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

 Hey there!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #400 at CSI. I used lots of my Christmas stash for this page of Sierra and I on Christmas Day of 2020:

I used all the evidence of my page from the case file! WooHoo!
I started my page with a border sticker from Echo Park, running it down my page. Next to that, I added in a gingham ribbon along with some ric rac. I placed my photo on corrugated paper from Fancy Pants and popped that up on some craft foam. I fussy cut the trees from a paper from Carta Bella Farmhouse Christmas. I added in the red fussy cut red flowers from CartaBella Hello Christmas. The stars and pinecones were fussy cut from a paper from Mintay Home For Christmas and the leave branches were from Mintays' Merry & Bright collection. I also tucked in a felt poinsettia, snowflake brad, wish list button and some Simple Stories black clear word stickers:

Here I added more of the fussy cut items along with another snowflake brad and a maroon felt poisnsettia. I added watercolor paint spatters and stamping to the background:

I fussy cut the title and mug from papers in the Mintay Home For Christmas collection. I added another felt poinsettia, fussy cut trees and leaves. I fussy cut the white flower cluster from a paper from Carta Bella Farmhouse Christmas. I added in a chipboard clock, the gift and the tree button, all are from my stash. I used RG ink and a stamp from American Crafts to stamp the scalloped border. Then I fussy cut it and added it to my page:

You can see the stamping on my background better here. I am not sure who the manufacturer is of the stamps as these were a gift and it didn't have any packaging. Here's the rest of my titla and some small tags I handcut and added some twine through:

If you look closely, peeking out of the bottom of the photo on the white flower and also on the stamped circle, I have added some beads:

Here's a quick look at the case file, check out the CSI Facebook page to see the evidence and testimony:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Holly Jolly

 Hey there friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #375 at CSI.

I used Mintay Merry & Bright papers for this Christmas page of Greg and I :

I added some torn strips of papers to my background. I tucked in some mes and added Machine stitching. I added in some Tim Holtz phrase stickers:

I tucked in some snowflakes and fussy cut the deer from a Christmas card I received last year:

I fussy cut the tree from a card as well. I added a metal tree that has been in my stash for many years. I added more stickers from my stash and some enamel dots:

I used lots of embellies from my stash on this page and had a blast creating it!
Check out the case files on the CSI Facebook page and play along with us this month!

Always Be Yourself

Hey there friends!
I am back to share a travel layout of Sierra with you. I used the Mintay Next Trip 6x6 paper pad along with some fun embellishments from Creative Embellishments on this layout:

I added some water to a few Distress Oxides to create my background. Then added some black spatters using acrylic paint and a bit of water. I used the words "Always Be Yourself" from the Every Day Word Set and added the same Distress Oxides to create the title:

At the top right, I added a gold moon from the Mirror Gold Moon Set. These are gorgeous, but I always have a hard time photographing them:

I used the same Oxide inks to color the Wing Set 3 Small and placed one on each side of my photo. I also tucked in a few Mirror Acrylic Gold Stars

This layout is so soft and pretty and I love how it came out! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!
