Fun With You!

Hey there!
I am up on the ScraPerfect blog today sharing this layout that I created using scallop strips of patterned paper along with the Best Glue Ever. This is my favorite glue! I used the June 2017 Hip Kit Club kit for this page of Sierra and me:

I fussy cut these scallops from patterned paper:

I added a few drops of the Best Glue Ever, a little bit goes a long way.

I added them to my layout and then machine stitched them. I always make sure the glue is dry before I add machine stitching just so my needle doesn't get sticky from the glue.

Here are a few more close ups:

Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Be You

Hey friends!
I am sharing a layout I created using a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap and Fancy Pants Be You collection. I still have lots of this collection in my stash. When I saw the sketch, I immediately thought of the overlay in this collection:

I added a border strip with the quote along with a sticker border and added some machine stitching. I also added a few chipboard pieces, a fussy cut flower and a rub-on:

Another fussy cut flower, a diecut and another chipboard piece:

I fussy cut the heart and will have Sierra add her journaling here:

The Adventure Begins

Hello!
I am sharing a layout I created for Sketches In Thyme using the April 22nd sketch.
I used Paper House Productions for this layout:

I added some layers under my photo. I used some old square alphas from my stash. I made my own tags from patterned paper and added a Divine Twine bow:

The airplane diecut is from Simple Stories. I added some foam to give some dimension:

I used the "Adventure" sticker from the collection for part of my title. I added the "See the World" sticker, also popped up with foam. I used a circle punch and cut them in half for my banner. I also added a few hand cut banner shapes:

I created another fun banner at the top of my page and added some machine stitching. For my background, I used watercolor, followed by some Heidi Swapp navy mist spatters:

Here's the fun sketch:

Cool!

Hello and happy Friday!
Today I am sharing a layout that I created for Off The Rails. I used Simple Stories So Rad for this page of Austin:

I used an older photo of him on a skateboard I picked up at a garage sale. I used watercolors for my background. I added some layers of patterned paper under my photo. I created this triangle banner using stickers. I added a few cork arrows, I believe they are from Fancy pants:

I used alpha stickers from the collection for my title and machine stitched through them:

I created a cluster on the left side of my page and added some machine stitching:

When I create a layout, I place all or most of my stuff on my background and then remove everything to create my background. I found that if I put my stickers on cardstock and then fussy cut around them, that I can easily move these around on my layout until I find the proper place for them.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Spring

Hello!
There's a mini crop going on at Creative Inspiration. I have a layout that I created for my challenge to share with you. My challenge is to create a spring project. I used PhotoPlay Bloom and a Freebie Friday cut file from The Cut Shoppe for this layout of Austin and one of our friends:

I used watercolors for my background. I fussy cut the flowers, mason jar and leaves from the papers. I popped the "Beautiful" sticker up on foam to add some dimension:

I backed the cut file with patterned papers and popped it up with foam. For my title, I used a sticker and added some machine stitching for texture. I added the date with a stamp:

I fussy cut a few birds and added them to my page:

I love how this page came out! It's so soft and pretty!

Lovely

Hey friends!
I am back to share another layout with you. This one was created for Creative Embellishments. I used the January 2018 Hip Kit Club kit for this page. Sierra and I were playing around one day with the filters on Snapchat and this photo was one that we took:

I added a few of the Butterfly Flair pieces to my embellishment cluster on this fun page:

I used Nuvo Glitter markers to color the Frond 6 set and tucked them into my fussy cut flowers:

I used the Nuvo Glitter markers to color the word "lovely" from the Girl Word Set and added it to the top of these fussy cut flowers:

I added a few wood veneer hearts from the Heart Clusters and colored them with the Nuvo Glitter markers as well. I added a piece of black and white striped paper to the left side and machine stitched it:

I tucked in another Butterfly Flair and a Frond Set 6 piece to the left of my photo amid the fussy cut flowers:

I love how this page came out! See you soon!

Dad

Hey there friends!
I lost my Dad back in December and finally decided to scrap a photo of him. I used a sketch from Sketches In Thyme along with Simple Stories Heart collection for this memorial page:

One of my sisters had his obituary laminated and gave us each a copy at Christmas. I added this to the right of the photo. I layered a few embellies here:

I made a banner from 3 triangle stickers and added some machine stitching. I popped up a few stickers around my title, dad:

A few more stickers:

I wanted to keep this layout fairly simple so as not to distract from the photo.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

You Are My Sunshine

Hey there scrappy friends!
Today I am sharing a layout I created using case file #279 at CSI. I used Simple Stories Good Day Sunshine and ! Heart Summer for this page:

I added a few strips of paper down the left side of my layout and machine stitched. I hand cut a poccket and machine stitched around that. I cut the sun on my Cameo using a Silhouette cut file. I added the wood veneer "sunshine" from my stash along with some stickers and a chipboard heart:

I created another "pocket" by fussy cutting a 3x 4 card from one of the papers and then used an exacto knife to cut and lift the "you are my sunshine!" up. I added a few more stickers and a wood veneer sun. I used alphas from the collection and added some machine stitching:

I added a few stickers, chipboard and another wood veneer sun here:

Here's the case file:

I was inspired by the colors, words and the sun in the pocket.
I used dots, stripes, scallops, hearts, sun and pockets for my evidence. I used the inspiration word "sunshine" for my testimony.
I hope you will take this challenge and play along with us!

Cake

Hey there friends!
It has been kind of a scrappy weekend for me, love those!
I played along with a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy and combined it with the April challenge at Scrap The Boys and came up with this page:

I cut the star with my Cameo and backed it with a paper from American Crafts. Then I hand stitched around it with brown embroidery floss.I used the 6x6 Simple Stories Snap Life paper pad and some Snap embellies. For my title, I used some old pink Thickers.I added a few brown brads from my stash:

I added a few layers of patterned paper behind my photo and then popped it up with some craft foam. I fussy cut the arrow and pink heart from the papers:

Here's the sketch:

Here's the challenge at Scrap the Boys:

Handmade Embellies

Hey there friends!
I am up on the ScraPerfect Blog sharing a fun way to use up your scraps and stash!
This month, the design team challenged each other to make our own embellishments. At first, I was like WHAT?!! So, I checked out Pinterest... Once I got going on them, I loved the challenge! Plus it's a great way to use stash and scraps! I used My Mind's Eye Lost & Found and Simple Stories stickers. Here's what I came up with:

I started by grabbing some papers, punches and buttons. I punched some circles and butterflies:

I designed how I wanted them:

I added a drop of the Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap attached to the top circle and placed it on the bottom circle:

I added some machine stitching:

I added my sentiment stickers to cardstock and fussy cut around them so that they weren't sticky. Now that I think of it, the Perfect Crafting Pouch would have been perfect for this:

I added a drop of the Best Glue Ever to my buttons, sentiments and the butterfly centers:

I used the Embellie Gellie to place my buttons and sequins. This tool is perfect for placing small things:

Here's are individual close ups of my embellies:

I love how these came out and will be making more of them!
Stay tuned next month for my post when I use these on a layout.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
