It's the Little Things In Life

 Hello Scrappy Friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #418 at CSI. I used a lot of Echo Park  (Anything Goes, The Simple Life, Day In The Life and Photo Freedom) along with items from my stash for this layout of my friend and I:

I decided to create a grid and use the 4 colors in the file, other than the white which is my background, as the base for each grid. Then I popped in a few of the other colors in each part. I used a Cloud 9 Designs stamp and ink to stamp the "Life is better when it is FUN":

I hand cut the tag, added a twine bow and tucked it under the green block. I added some machine stitching to each block. I fussy cut the butterfly and stitched through it:

I also used a stamp with navy ink and added the dots on the background. I punched the butterfly and red striped border. I added some buttons and Shimelle enamel hearts:

I fussy cut the banner and butterfly. I also tucked in another tag, Hip Kit and My Minds Eye enamel dots and button:

Here is a quick look at the case file:

I was inspired by the colors and friendship theme. For evidence, I used: stripes, floral, grid pattern, people, hearts, flowers, clips, buttons, stitching, circles, string, tags, enamel dots and borders.

CSI: So Very Brilliant!

 Hello there friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #406 at CSI. I have to admit, I struggled with this one a bit. I had to get creative. My layout and hidden journaling is also about how creative Austin was. He is a thinker and very creative. I used all stash on this page:

I hand cut some clouds from some white cardstock, inked them, then added some machine stitching. I tucked in some felt Thickers above the bigger cloud. I added a wood silhouette from my stash. The light bulb is from Vicki Boutin. I fussy cut the "embrace creativity" banner from a Shimelle paper. I added a felt dot and the "noted" puffy sticker from Vicki Boutin. The striped paper is from Echo Park:

I used the Starburst Stencil from Creative Embellishments along with Distress Oxide Ink on my white background. I matted my photo with patterned papers. The teal is from Echo Park. The yellow is Shimelle and I'm not sure on the coral paper or frame- thinking it is American Crafts. The navy, stripes and ruler are from Echo Park. I added another fussy cut banner from Shimelle and an Echo Park word sticker below the photo. I added a journaling spot, a ticket and some punched leaves:

Check out the case files for this month. We would love to have you play along!

Too Cute, Not Spooky

 Hi paper crafters!

I have a fun Halloween layout to share with you today that I created for CSI using lots of my stash. I added watercolor to my white textured background. Once that was dry, I stamped with the Distressed Grid and Distressed Plaid Set 2 stamps from Creative Embellishments along with black ink. I tore some patterned papers, placed those on the right side of my page and added some machine stitching:

I added some strips of patterned papers behind my photos: teal and orange- Fancy Pants, striped and dotted- Echo Park, . I matted my photos on pink from Shimelle. For my title, I used: orange-Thickers, black- Echo Park, teal- Cosmo Cricket, Spooky is a MAMBI Sticker. The teal heart is a sticker from Fancy Pants:

I added a few star circle stickers and the black cat saying from Echo Park. The bats are stickers from Paper House. Boo-Yah is a MAMBI sticker. I used a spider stamp from Northwood Stamps:

I added some sequins from DCWV and brads from Queen & Co:

I fussy cut the hose from an old Rusty Pickle paper- remember them? They were popular when I first started scrapping. I added a few more stamps: Trick or Treat and Happy Halloween- both are from Savy Stamps. The fright night is a sticker from MAMBI and the 31 is from Echo Park:

I fussy cut the scalloped circle with the kitty from an Echo park paper. Trick or treat is another MAMBI sticker. Kitty is Authentique mini alphas and cat are from Making Memories:

Wander With Music

 Hey there scrapbooking friends!

Today I am sharing my take on cold case file #365 at CSI. I used lots of older Shimelle on this page of Sierra listening to music on her Ipod while traveling to California back in 2010:

I added the hearts rub-on to white cardstock to make a diecut and then placed it on my photo. I added a wood veneer from Shimelle along with a fussy cut frame. the word "wander" was also a rub-on that I added to white cardstock. I used that as my title along with some foam and gold Thickers:

I stacked a bunch of diecuts and fussy cut images to the bottom of my page, popping some up with craft foam to add dimension:

I love that I used lots of stash on this page and I love how it came out!
So dig through your stash and use it!

So Good

Hey there friends!
Today I am sharing a layout created for case file #321 at CSI. This layout was inspired by the colors and raindrops in the mood board. The raindrops made me think of this raindrop paper in the Shimelle Little By Little collection, so that was my starting point. Here's my page:

I added water color to my background along with some Heidi Swapp black mist spatters. Finally added some layers of patterned papers and some stitching:

I fussy cut the word "Good" and the journal block from the papers. I used some Thickers for the word "so":

I fussy cut flowers and circles from the papers and added them. I made a nest of thread under the  heart flair. I added in some old black Basic Grey rub-ons.

Check out the mood board and play along with us this month. There are some fabulous prizes up for grabs!

Camping Issues

Hey all!
I have a fun camping layout to share that I created for CSI case file #318.
I used a few different AC lines for this page. The yellow striped paper is from Dear Lizzy Serendipity. I tucked in a few pieces of orange from Amy Tan:

The black striped paper under the photo is from Shimelle. The black and white lined one is from Amy Tan. I added a few clear Amy Tan stickers around my photo. I fussy cut the larger fox from a Paper Issues card:

The "OH!" and "Have Issues" was fussy cut from the same PI card. I used foam Thickers for "we" and "issues". I finished the rest of the title with alphas from Hip Kit Club. I fussy cut the frames from an Amy Tan paper I believe. I added a fussy cut camera and flowers. The small fox were fussy cut from AC Give Thanks:

I added an Amy Tan chipboard heart, clear "indeed", triangles and arrow stickers. I added a few orange star puffy stickers:

Coffee Because...

Hey there friends!
I am back to share a fun coffee layout I have up over at Creative Embellishments.
Sierra took this photo of her coffee station at her apartment while she was away at college her sophomore year. I have been saving it for just the right embellies. So when I was searching through the Creative Embellishments store and saw the "Coffee because adulting is hard" chipboard piece, I knew I just had to use it for this photo:

I added 3 of the wood veneer Coffee Cups in various sizes. I colored them with the same pink mist I used on my background. Speaking of my background, I used a red mist and the pink mist and used the packaging technique to apply them. Once they were dry, I used the Distressed Circle Stamp along with black ink and stamped sporadically on my background. Finally, I added some black mist spatters:

Here is a close up of my title:

I added a few die cuts, stickers and layers of patterned papers under and around my photo. I used AC Shimelle die cuts and papers and Simple Stories stickers:

This was such a fun layout to create! I love altering the fun chipboard pieces and wood veneer! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Life Happens...Coffee

Hey there!
I am back to share another layout created using a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap. With the cold weather and school being canceled (which means no work for me) I am getting lots of scrappy time!
I used American Crafts Shimelle stash for this fun layout:

I used the Creative Embellishment  "Life Happens Coffee Helps" chippie and colored it with a black Sharpie.

I used a BoBunny stamp to stamp the red cup and then fussy cut it out. I fussy cut the white cup from one of the papers and then added a wood veneer cup from Creative Embellishments. I used a black Sharpie to color that as well:

I added a few layers of paper around my photo and then added the wood veneer "love" plaque, another fussy cut mug and some wood buttons:

Here is the sketch:

This was such a fun layout to create!
Thanks for stopping!
