Playin' Tough

Hello!
Another quick post for today.
Just wanted to share a layout I created using the April 15th sketch at Sketchabilities. I used a pic of Austin and one of his buddies from last fall playing football:

Here are some close ups:

I used a stencil, modeling paste and watercolors for my background. I used Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss papers behind the photo and then added some Recollections ripped washi tape and a helmet border from my stash:

This "Playin' Tough" border I received a few Christmases ago from my sister and finally pulled it out for this layout. It was perfect!

Just a fun little cluster I added:

Here is the fun sketch:

Now I am off to enjoy the beautiful weather we are having.

Happy Sunday!
Today I am sharing a layout I created using the LGS week 3 sketch. I used Simple Stories Summer Fresh along with My Minds Eye Lush alphas for this layout of Sierra:

When In Doubt....

Happy Friday scrappy friends!
I posted a new sketch over at My Scraps & More for their Sketchathon this month. There is a new sketch everyday to play along with. If you love sketches, we would love to have you play along with us!
I was challenged last month to use a mixture of 6x6 paper pads to create a layout. I have never used 6x6 pads for layouts, only for cards. Now that I created a layout using them, I am hooked! I love the smaller patterns on them. This layout was created using JilliBean's Summer Red Raspberry Soup 6x6 paper pad along with their embellies:

I Love Right Now!

Hey there!
Just wanted to share another layout I got done over the weekend.
I used sketch #79 from Sketch-N-Scrap and came up with this:

I flipped the sketch on it's side so that I could use this photo strip from Greg's nephews wedding. We had a blast in it! This is the only one that had all 4 of us in it.

I used Amy Tangerine Rise & Shine for this page. This is such a fun collection!
I added the "Love" diecut and popped it up with foam take and added some wound up thread behind it. I also added a few of the clear stickers, but they are hard to see on the black background.

The title "I Love Right Now" and the gold enamel arrow came from another Amy Tangerine collection. I fussy cut the 3 green circles and scattered those around to keep the eye moving.

Another diecut topped with a sticker, an enamel and more thread:

I am thinking I may go back and add a few drops of silver mist to this corner because it looks kind of plain. What do you think?

Here is the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Pretty In Pink

Happy Monday!
Today there is a new challenge up on the Cards In Envy Blog! Today's challenge is to create an A2 card using shades of pink.
I used October Afternoon Sidewalks for my card along with a few Crate Paper tags:

I left the sentiment spot blank so I can use this card for any theme I need to later on- most likely it will be used for a birthday, but I will add some mini alphas for the sentiment then.
Hope you will play along with us!

Life Is Good!

Happy Sunday friends!
I had some scrappy time this weekend and wanted to share one of the pages I completed.
I used a Laura Whitaker sketch from Scrap Our Stash along with an inspiration photo they had to go along with it and came up with this:

Here are some close ups:
I used Gelatos and a stamp to create my background. I used PinkFresh Studio Up In the Clouds collection. I added some of the gold rub-ons along with a stencil and Gelatos to mimic the confetti of circles in the inspiration photo.

I also used a stencil and a black marker to make the triangle arrows:

I picked some of the Doodlebug doilies up from a scrappy friend in a variety of colors. I finally used my gold Gelato and love it! Here you can see some of the smudges I did with it:

Here is the sketch:

and here is the inspiration photo:

I used the colors, cloud and confetti dots from the inspiration board.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

But First....

Hey there!
Happy Saturday!
I just wanted to share a page I created using the Twistback Thursday sketch at Sketch-N-Scrap this month. The twist was to use a mask. I used a sunburst mask and watercolor along with Fancy Pants Flutter and came up with this:

Here are some close ups:

I fussy cut the camera and title from one PL card.

                                                                   Here is the sketch:

Little Boy Blue

Hey there!
Today I am sharing a card I created using a sketch for Feeling Sketchy and also a digital stamp from Lacy Sunshine.
At first I freaked out about using an image, totally not my style, nor do I have Copics to color with. But after a bit of thinking, I used my watercolor pencils with Gamasol (sp?) to color the image. It's been quite awhile since I used either of these. I love how it turned out and will definitely be doing more digi stamps!
I used Crate Paper Little Boy Blue:
