Birthday Boy!

I posted the last sketch for our sketch-a-thon over at My Scraps & More today.
I used photos of Bender for the small birthday party we threw for him in March. I can't believe he is 8 already! But he is still that abnoxious little puppy we brought home almost 8 years ago, LOL!

I used some old October Afternoon Cakewalk collection for this page celebrating his special day:

Hope you will play along with this over on the My Scraps & More message board. I would love to see your page!

Bubble Wrap

Hey there!
Happy Friday!
There is a new sketch up on the My Scraps & More Sketch Blog today!
I used Elle's Studio Everyday Moments and Chic Tags for these pics of Sierra at Christmas. I caught her playing with the bubble wrap after opening a gift:

I used bubble wrap, Gesso and paint to create my background and then added some water color and yellow mist:

The white scalloped circle paper is something that was in my stash after punching scalloped circles out for another layout I did previously and I thought I would throw it on there and I love the texture it adds:

This was such a fun layout to create!

The Good Life

Hey there!
It's my day up on the My Scraps & More Blog and I wanted to share my layout here as well.
Today I am sharing a layout I lifted from Tabitha. I used mostly Elle's Studio Everyday Moments. I love the colors in this collection! I used a stencil and added some light modeling paste and then once it dried painted it with watercolors and added a few drops of brown ink.
Here is my layout:

April Showers

April showers bring May flowers. What do May flowers bring?

The pilgrims! Sorry, I couldn't resist! This was my husbands favorite joke to tell the kids a few years ago.

Any who, it's time for a new challenge at Cards In Envy. Today's challenge is to create an A2 card that uses first class postage and the theme is: APRIL SHOWERS.

For my card, I used Echo Park, Springtime collection. I thought the blue raindrop paper was perfect for this challenge along with the flowers and my homemade grass:

I am not much a pastel user, but I love how this turned out!

I hope you will stop over at the Cards In Envy Blog and see what the rest of the DT did with this challenge and to play along!

You Are My Sunshine

Good morning friends!
It's Monday! That means a new sketch is up at LGS!
I used an older BoBunny line (Barefoot & Bliss) along with Pink Paislee hearts after adding water color to them for this layout of Austin at the lake last summer:

Here are some close ups:

Love those orange buttons from Bella Blvd:

and the Recollections wood veneer frame from Michaels:

I fussy cut the lazy days out:

Happy Easter!

Hello and happy Easter!
We finally got our eggs colored last night, nothing like waiting until the last minute. We have been enjoying spring break this week- mostly lazy days with a few hours of yard work. Sierra and I took a day trip to Appleton for shopping and Red Lobster. Greg and Austin did a Brewer game one day. Only a few more days off and then we will be busy with baseball.
Any who, just wanted to share a layout I created for the April challenge at Creative Embellishments.
I was inspired by the polka dots and colors. I used: paint, texture paste, a handmade flower and bling on my layout:

Here are a few close ups:

Happy Saturday! It's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog today and I just wanted to share my layout here as well.
The photo was taken at Niagara Falls. We were so happy when we got there and saw this beautiful rainbow over the falls.
I used the Circle Cutter to cut my circles the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #305 for the border and added the negative piece to the top of the photo and added a small piece for my banner:

It's been a long cold winter here in Wisconsin and I am so ready for spring!
These photos were taken March 25th and look at all the snow we still had:

I made, yes, made Sierra go out and point to the grass that we could see, she was not too happy with me so I guess it's ok that the pic of her is kind of dark:)
To go along with my title and photos, I decided to add snowflakes to half of my layout and flowers and a butterfly to the other half.

Now off you go to Charity's Blog to see what fabulous creation she has made!
