Celebrate- Bramble Fox

 Hey there friends!

I am back today to share my take on the fun June challenge over at Bramble Fox. I used October Afternoon Cake Walk from 2012, do you remember it? It was one of my favs and you could say I hoarded it, lol:

I used a patterned paper as my background and then added some watercolors to it. I added lots of the die cut shapes under and around my photos. I also added a few small doilies to give some texture on my page. I fussy cut the animals dancing and popped that up on my page with foam. I added the XO perspextive from the
January Fox Box:

I added some stickers from the OA collection and I also added a few of the white star perspextives from the Cool Stars:

Above the photos, I added some fussy cut balloons and confetti:

I used the "Celebrate" perspextive for my title. Isn't it gorgeous?!

I added some tangled thread and a red heart perspextive from the January Fox Box:

Here's the challenge for this month:

I had a blast creating this layout and I hope you will join us this month!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

24

 Hey there friends!

Have you seen the January case files at CSI yet? If not, go check them out on Facebook, there is so much inspiration! There are also some prizes if you play along!

Here is my take on case file #378 using my hoarded October Afternoon Cakewalk collection. This was one of my favorite collections of theirs:

I added my journaling on one of the cards. I fussy cut the bears, aren't they cute? I added one of the pennants from the collection. I fussy cut the numbers from one of the papers:

I love fussy cutting! I cut that cute banner from one of the papers as well. Then I added some machine stitching. I fussy cut the cake and popped it up with some craft foam:

I added the animals at the table sticker, popping it up with craft foam too. I added a few word stickers from the collection:

On the background, I used the Fairy Dust Stencil from Creative Embellishments and added some modeling paste through it. Then I added some watercolors:

Here is the case file:

I was inspired by the cake and used birthday photos from Sierra's last birthday. I was also inspired by the colors. For evidence, I used: floral pattern, numbers, rabbit or other animal, birthday themed elements, cake, cards, texture paste, hat and a stencil. I documented a birthday for my testimony.

I had a blast creating this fun page and used stash to create it, LOVE THAT!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

22nd Birthday

Hey Friends,
I am sharing a birthday layout using a sketch from Sketches In Thyme and October Afternoon's Cakewalk collection. Remember that one, it's an oldie but goodie! One of my favorite OA lines!

I fussy cut that banner from one of the papers and then stitched it.
I fussy cut the packages from the papers and popped them up with foam dots to add some dimension:

I fussy cut this from one of the cards and popped them up with foam. Aren't those animals adorable? I added a few musical notes from the sticker sheet:

I used alphas from the collection for the word "birthday" and then used some orange Thickers for the number. I added a card on each side of the photo. Then added some stitching and a few die cuts:

Here is the sketch by Shaun Lahr:

I love using my stash and making it look like new!

Eighteen

Hello!
I have a layout to share with you today. This layout was created for CSI case file #306. I used October Afternoon Cakewalk for this layout about Austin's 18th birthday:

I created the cake from patterned papers and then added hand stitching around it:

I used multicolored alphas from the collection for my title and then machine stitched through it. I added a few die cuts. I used black scalloped washi tape for the plate:

I popped up my photos using craft foam. I added the candle stickers and a few more die cuts:

Here is the case file. Visit the CSI Facebook page to see the clues for it:

I had a blast creating this page!
Thanks for stopping by and happy new year!

Cards

Hello!
I made a few cards this last weekend for a few challenges at Sketch-N-Scrap and wanted to share them.
They both were sketches with a twist challenges and posted by Susan.
The first one I used JilliBean Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup and the twist was to use 3 flowers. Here is what I came up with:

                                                                    Here is the sketch:

For my second card, I used this sketch:

along with Cakewalk by October Afternoon. Yes, I still have this in my stash, it was my fav! The twist was to make a birthday card and have 3 of something on it. I added 3 stars:

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Make A Wish!

Happy Saturday!
It's my last day up on the Just Imagine Blog today.  With school starting on September 2, that means I head back to work:(  Where oh where did the summer go? I need to lighten my scrappy load a little and I have been with them for quite some time, so I decided to let someone else work with their fabulous punches and circle cutter.
Today I am sharing a birthday card I made. I used the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch #910 to punch my border and added the negative piece (pink) to the top of my border to give it more depth. I used October Afternoon Cakewalk:

Here is a close up of the border:

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Super Saturday!

It's my day up on the Just Imagine Blog today.
I am sharing a birthday card I made for my niece. I used the fabulous circle cutter to cut a 3" circle. I used Stencil B and marked just the short lines. I then punched every other line with the Kreaxions 4 in 1 Punch # 916. I also used the same punch, with no insert, to punch a border. I added part of that border to the top of the card to make a pennant:

Here are a few close ups:

I used October Afternoon Cakewalk  collection. Isn't it fun?!

Best of Friends

That's the theme for todays challenge at Cards In Envy!
Since I am not a stamper, I had to think hard on what I could use for this challenge. Finally it hit me! I had some paper from October Afternoon Cakewalk that had some pics of people with friends at a birthday party. I thought this was perfect!

I added some stitching, a journaling card (A Special Day) and a few stickers and walaahh, a quick and easy birthday card!

I'm Lovin' It!

Another post for me today...
Scrap & Play has a new challenge up on the blog today!
As soon as I saw the challenge, I knew what pic I was going to use.
Sierra got a car awhile back and takes Bender, our yellow lab, along with her when possible. On this particular day, Bender took his first trip through the McDonald's drive thru with her. Bender barked at the lady in the drive thru until she gave Sierra the food then she was his best friend, LOL!
I used October Afternoon Sidewalks along with a McDonald's sign I printed of the internet:

Here are some close ups:

This has always been my favorite October Afternoon collection and now is my favorite Bender layout!

Here is the challenge:

Hope you will check out the Scrap & Play Blog to see what the rest of the DT did with this fun challenge!

Birthday Boy!

I posted the last sketch for our sketch-a-thon over at My Scraps & More today.
I used photos of Bender for the small birthday party we threw for him in March. I can't believe he is 8 already! But he is still that abnoxious little puppy we brought home almost 8 years ago, LOL!

I used some old October Afternoon Cakewalk collection for this page celebrating his special day:

Here are a few close ups:

Here is the sketch I created:

Hope you will play along with this over on the My Scraps & More message board. I would love to see your page!

Happy Wednesday!

I can't believe it's Wednesday already! Where did Monday and Tuesday go?!
It's so cold here, but I am not complaining, after all, I do live in Wisconsin, it's suppose to be cold!

It's Wednesday, that means I am up on the My Scraps & More Blog. I finally played with October Afternoon Cakewalk Collection and I have to say, I love it and this is my new favorite layout of mine:

The colors are so fun! I tore paper for the borders on top and bottom, added stitching, brads and paint spatters to the polka dotted background and embellished with cute stickers from the collection.
There's still a few days to play along with our ONE LITTLE WORD CROP on the message board. Hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!
