Guest Designing at Creative Embellishments

Hey there Scrappy Friends!
I was beyond excited when Nicole from Creative Embellishments asked me to be a guest designer on their blog today I love all of the fun items the Creative Embellishment store carries!

I am sharing a layout I created using one of my daughters senior pics from her photo shoot along with some Creative Embellishment goodies and Simple Stories.

I created my background using the Crackled Brick Stencil and added some distress inks through it. Then I stamped with black ink using the Distressed Text Stamp. I added some paint strokes and glitter paste through the Fairy Dust Stencil along with some gold spatters.

I colored the Berries and Flourish chipboard pieces with ink and then added some gold mist spatters. I added some flowers and diecuts around my photo to make it pop and add lots of texture.

I created 3 clusters to keep the eye moving across the page. I added a few fussy cut items (the ampersand and "sweet" label)

I fussy cut the words "Dream big" from patterned paper and used that as my title. I added a few layers of paper behind my photo and placed the Flourish behind it. Finally I added the Gold Star Flair.

I would like to thank Nicole for having me as a guest designer today!

Another Cleaning Post!

Hello!
Last winter, I had someone stopping by to pick up something and since I wasn't going to be home, I taped the envelope to the front door. Big mistake! When he removed the envelope, the tape that was holding it on the door remained. I tried taking it off, with no luck. With the cold weather here, I decided to wait until it warmed up.
Here's what it looked like when I finally decided to remove it:

I grabbed my bottle of the Best Cleaner Ever and sprayed it on the tape. I let it sit a few minutes and

Then I scrapped the glass using my fingernail and wiped it with a paper towel.

I did this with all 3 pieces  of tape.

Once again, I had awesome results with the Best Cleaner Ever! I love this stuff!

Here is the photo of this amazing cleaner:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

New Cocktail

Hey there everyone!
I am sharing a layout I created for Sketches In Thyme today.
I am trying to bust some stash, so I pulled out this old BoBunny line- I think it's called Alora. It was perfect for this photo of Greg and I with some friends trying a new drink before dinner one night:

I did a lot of fussy cutting for this page as I didn't have many embellishments that went with these fun colors. I added some old Thickers as well. The drink sticker is from another BoBunny line, but was perfect for this page:

I added some watercolor to my white cardstock background to add more color and interest:

Here is Sara's sketch:

Love This Place!

Happy Friday friends!
I am sharing a layout I created for the Facebook group Crafty Channel Surf. They have a crop going on until the 26th of this month. After, I created this layout, I realized I never created a vacation layout for my mini crop challenge at Creative Inspiration, so this layout was perfect!

I used Shimelle Little By Little for this layout:

I love the diecuts from this fun line and added some to the right lower corner of the photo along with some tangled thread:

I fussy cut the word "Love" and clouds from a couple of the 6x6 papers and added a few more diecuts and tangled thread:

I created my background using watercolors and the Circle Bokeh Stamp from Creative Embellishments.

Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

I fussy cut some flowers, a border and butterflies . I added a rubber charm and a flower from the collection. I stitched along the edges of the papers with my sewing machine:

I just cut the word "Together" from one of the papers and added fussy cut flowers, a butterfly and another flower:

Grease on Carpet?

Hello!
Today I am sharing an easy way to take grease off of carpet.
I was cleaning my daughter's car to get it ready to sell and besides the gum on the backseat to get off (in my last post), there was also several grease spots on the carpet. Once again, I reached for the Best Cleaner Ever.

Here is the before pic:

I sprayed it with the Best Cleaner Ever and let it sit a few minutes:

Then wiped it with a paper towel. So fast and easy!

I am really impressed at how this cleaner works! It has replaced quite a few cleaners already in my home.

Thanks for sharing your day with me!

Light Up The Night

Hey there!
Today I am sharing a layout I created for my challenge over at Creative Inspiration. My challenge is to use something wet on your project.
I used watercolors along with PhotoPlay Live Free for this layout:

Once the watercolors were dry, I used a Creative Embellishment stamp and stamped the stars on my background. Then I added some strips of papers and some stitching. I created the banner with some of the diecuts:

I fussy cut my title from one of the cards on the patterned papers and added some tangled thread under it:

I also added a few more diecuts here along with some more tangled thread:

I finished my page off with some rub-ons that have been in my stash forever, a few sticker word phrases, sequins, journaling and a few chipboard stars.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Out & About

Hey there! happy 4th of July!
I am sharing a layout I created for yesterday's sketch reveal at Creative Inspiration. I used My Minds Eye Good Day Sunshine for this fun page of Sierra while we were visiting her at UWEC this spring:

I added some greens cut from white cardstock and used a Silhouette cut file and cut on my Cameo. I also added a few diecuts from the collection:

Although the moped didn't go with my photos, I thought it went well with my title: Out & About, so I added it:

I added a few clouds cut from my Cameo from another Silhouette cut file and used a diecut sun and clip:

I rarely use patterned paper as a background, but love how this turned out and will be using it more often to use more of my stash.

Here is Bev's sketch:

Hope you will play along with us this month!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful and safe 4th!!

Donated

Hey everyone!
I am back to share a layout for the new sketch over at Stuck?! Sketches today.
I used Photo Play for this page of Sierra:

I fussy cut the pink medallions from one of the papers and added gold glitter hearts to the center of a few. I also added some of my favorite washi tapes and some stitching:

I added a paper arrow from my stash, I think it's from Chic tags. I also added a chipboard frame, maybe Simple Stories? I also added a stamped word phrase a few times throughout the layout:

I used a few different fonts for my title. The teal ones are Elle Studio and the black ones are from Walmart:

Here is the fun sketch Laura designed:

We would love to have you play along with us! Just link your page at Stuck?!
