All The Feels

 Hey there scrappy friends!

It's been awhile since I had a chance to play along over at the PinkFresh Studios blog monthly challenge, I finally had some time now that I'm retired! This months challenge was to use a challenge from last year. I used the March challenge- flowers.

I created a "me" layout and finally used the Keeping It Real collection, whoot!

I used the 6 x 6 paper pad and did lots of fussy cutting, distressing and hand stitching:

I used a diecut for my title:

I added lots of flower diecuts around my photo:

I love the colors in this collection, so pretty!

Dreaming Is Believing

 Hey there friends!

Today I am sharing a card I created for 88 and Clear using the January mood board and sketch.

I used Sour Crush Sugar Stock as the base for my card. Then I added a layer of Tangy Grape and Sweet Blue Sugar Stocks:

I used a stamp from the Jolly Spruce Stamp Set along with Sour Crush and Tangy Grape Sugar Cubes on the larger Sweet Blue Sugar Stock. On the smaller squares, I added a bit of water to Sour Crush and Tangy Grape Sugar Drops and used a brush to add it. Once they were dry, I used a black marker to create the snowflakes. For my sentiment, I used a stamp from the Make Magic stamp set, Black Taffy Sugar Cube and stamped on Tangy Grape Sugar Stock. I placed some tangled silver thread under it. Finally, I added Dazzling Pat spatters:

Here's the sketch:

and the mood board:

I love this color combo, it's gorgeous!

What A Great Day!

 Hey there scrappy friends!

Today I am sharing a layout I created for Sketches In Thyme using the photo strip from when we visited UW Eau Claire after Sierra was accepted 6 or 7 years ago. I used lots of stuff from my stash for this page:

I added torn strips of patterned papers from a few different Echo Park collections and stitched them in place. I added in a few Echo Park butterflies. The word "lovely' is from Fancy Pants. I added the yellow trim to the left of my photo- I thought it made the photo strip "pop":

I fussy cut the title from one of the Echo Park papers and added in a few Tim Holtz word phrase stickers along with arrows from Fancy Pants:

The flair is from Fancy Pants and the flower puffy sticker is from Dear Lizzie:

I absolutely love how this page came out and I also love that I used lots of scraps! Plus, I finally scrapped these photos!
Dig out your scraps/ stash and use it up!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

 Hello!

Today I am sharing a card created for 88 and Clear using the Take A Break DigiNext Collection. We are in the midst of the Wisconsin cold winter right now, so this beach themed collection is perfect right now! I dream of being on the beach with the sun shining down on me, lol!

Any who, here is my card:

I used Java Chip Sugar Stock for the base of this card and then added layers of Tangy Peach and Sweet Blue.
Isn't that bunny adorable?! and check out that beach paper, I love it!
I colored the hat, bunny on the beach towel and beach ball from the Take A Break DigiNext collection with my Caliart Markers and then fussy cut them out. Finally, I added some Dazzling Pat spatters:

Joy Ride

Hey there Scrappy Friends!
Back in September, on one of our camping trips, we biked around the lake with friends. I stayed back a bit and took a few pics so I could document this as this is one of our favorite activities to do at this campground AND because I have been dying to use the cute chipboard bike from the Creative Embellishments store, lol:

I heat embossed the Her Bike in red and added it on top of my title:

I added the Chain Border, which I colored with a black Sharpie, on the top of my patterned paper borders:

I used a cutfile from Cricut Access and added some hand stitching. Then I popped it up with craft foam to add some dimension. I added a few embellishments from my stash to finish of my page:

I love how this page came out!
Thanks for stopping and sharing your day with me!

Hey there!
I am back to share another Creative Embellishments layout with you that I created. I love their chipboard and other embellishments! I used two of my son's senior pics for this page:

I applied texture paste through the Starburst Stencil. When it was dry, I added some Shimmerz and Lindy's mists. I colored the Grunge Square Frame with a few different Tsukineko inks and placed my photos behind it. On the lower right of the frame, I placed a Feather Flair on top along with an Acorn, a Tim Holtz word phrase sticker. I also added a few Paper House Production Sculpted stickers:

On the lower left side of the frame I added another wood veneer Acorn, an Acorn Cluster, a Mirror Acrylic Blue Star Piece and another Paper House sticker:

I added in a Gear 1 1/2" and a few gears from the Gear Set. These I colored with a Lindy's mist. I added another Flair and a Mirror Acrylic Blue Star:

I finished off the page with some white acrylic paint and mist spatters. Perfect for a grungy guy page! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

24

 Hey there friends!

Have you seen the January case files at CSI yet? If not, go check them out on Facebook, there is so much inspiration! There are also some prizes if you play along!

Here is my take on case file #378 using my hoarded October Afternoon Cakewalk collection. This was one of my favorite collections of theirs:

I added my journaling on one of the cards. I fussy cut the bears, aren't they cute? I added one of the pennants from the collection. I fussy cut the numbers from one of the papers:

I love fussy cutting! I cut that cute banner from one of the papers as well. Then I added some machine stitching. I fussy cut the cake and popped it up with some craft foam:

I added the animals at the table sticker, popping it up with craft foam too. I added a few word stickers from the collection:

On the background, I used the Fairy Dust Stencil from Creative Embellishments and added some modeling paste through it. Then I added some watercolors:

Here is the case file:

I was inspired by the cake and used birthday photos from Sierra's last birthday. I was also inspired by the colors. For evidence, I used: floral pattern, numbers, rabbit or other animal, birthday themed elements, cake, cards, texture paste, hat and a stencil. I documented a birthday for my testimony.

I had a blast creating this fun page and used stash to create it, LOVE THAT!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Snow Day

 Hey there friends!

A friend of mine shared a card she made for a new challenge blog, Colorful Options, on Facebook and being retired now and having more scrapbooking time, I decided to go check it out. So thanks to Darlene and Colorful Options, I now have another Christmas card done for next year.

Here's my card using Echo Park Winter Magic along with a tree cut from my Cricut:

I fussy cut the snow globe from one of the papers and then tied a bow around it using Divine Twine. I added some tangled thread in gray and silver and popped the snow gloge on top using foam tape to add some dimension:

The color this month is winter blue. Here's the mood board that goes with it:

I am also entering this in the Four Seasons winter mood board challenge:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Everyday

 Hey there!

I retired at the end of 2021 and so far I am loving it! More scrappy time, YAY!

I played along with a layout sketch at Sketch-N-Scrap and used an old Hip Kit Club kit for this layout of Sierra at work:

I ceated my background using watercolors. Then added layers of patterned papers and stitching. I added some tangled thread and chipboard stars:

I added this cute bowfrom PinkFresh Studios, I believe. I used some old alphas for my title. I used a date stamp to add my date:

I added a chipboard word phrase and some more chipboard hearts here. I added a diecut word to finish off my title:

Here's the sketch:

One of my goals this year is to use my stash! I have so much of it even after purging a bunch.
I love that I was able to use stash for this page and I love how it came out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Beautiful Dreamer

Hey there scrappy friends!
I hope you all had a safe and happy new year celebration!
I wanted to pop in and share that I am staying on the design team at Creative Embellishments for the 2022 term! I am so excited as I love the chipboard and other embellishments Nicolle has in the store.
Here is my first layout for 2022 that I created for Creative Embellishments.
I used one of Sierra's senior photos for this beautiful page:

I watered down the Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink and applied it to my white textured cardstock using the packaging technique. Then I used the Distressed Grid Stamp with a navy ink and stamped that on my background. I added some brown mist spatters:

I added Heidi Swapp Raspberry Color Shine to the Beautiful Dreamer title piece. I stamped the feathers and feather border on white textured cardstock and then fussy cut them:

I used a few different inks to color the Dreamcatcher 2 and placed it partly under and to the right of my photo. I added some beads from Buttons Galore & More to it. I placed a Fairy Set Flair on top. I also added some Tim Holtz word phrase stickers, a Feather, a chipboard Heart and some sequins from Buttons Galore & More. I finished the layout off with some white and black acrylic paint spatters:

I love how this page came out and it was so much fun to create! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!  See ya soon!
