Just Beachy- Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone!
Happy Memorial Day!
Today I am sharing a beach layout I created for Creative Embellishments.  Summer is almost here in Wisconsin. The photos on this layout were taken in January- Greg and I escaped a bit of winter here and went to Texas for a few weeks. We spent some time on the beach on Padre Island- it was heaven and we are going back. I used some fun chipboard pieces from the store along with Pink Paislee Solstice collection from my stash:

I added some acrylic paint spatters to my patterned paper background. I placed a journaling card from the collection and then added photos around it. I added a few flying Seagulls that I colored with acrylic paint:

For my title, I used the Just Beachy chipboard piece and colored that with acrylic paints creating an ombre affect:

I added a few gold foam embellishments from the collection along with the shell flair. I tucked in a Seashell here as well:

On the bottom of the page, I added a few torn pieces of patterned papers and some machine stitching. I added 2 more of the Seagulls and another Seashell:

I love how this page came out! I hope I have inspired you in some way.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Do More...

 Hey there!

Today I am sharing my take on sketch #566 at Sketches In Thyme. I used Echo Park Summer Fun along with a chippie from Creative Embellishments for this page of me reading a magazine at the pool in Georgia last October:

I added watercolor to my white cardstock background. I layered patterned papers from the Echo Park collection and added my photo. I hand cut a tag and added my journaling along with a twine bow. I fussy cut the flower cluster and added it to the lower left of my photo:

I punched my border and fussy but some leaves and a flower. I added acrylic paint to the book. Once that was dry, I added the patterned paper pages along with a tissue paper page:

I fussy cut the flamingoes:

I also fussy cut the title from one of the papers:

Here's the sketch:

I love fussy cutting! Can you tell?! LOL!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Camping Mini Album

Hi everyone!
I am back to share another mini album with you that I created for Creative Embellishments. This one is a camping theme and it can hold over 60 photos! I used lots of Creative Embellishments chipboard, some CE acrylic stars and a few Echo Park collections for this fun mini. I created this mini album from scratch using tutorials from Bev Code. All chipboard has been colored using inks. On the cover, I used: Camping Set, Camping Word Set and Mirror Acrylic Blue Stars:

Life's A Beach Mini Album

Hello crafty friends!
Today I am sharing a beautiful mini album with you that I created for Creative Embellishments. This mini album is 6 1/2"x 4 3/4". Sierra and her boyfriend went to Punta Cana in February, so I will be giving them this mini to add their photos to. I used lots of CE chipboard pieces along with a PaperHouse Color Ways collection and lots of white cardstock:

To color the chipboard pieces, I used different inks and then drybrushed them with white acrylic paint. I finished them off with white acrylic paint spatters. On the cover, I used: Life's A Beach, Seaweed, Seashells, Sea Artist Trading Coins:

Page 1 and 2: On The Beach Word Set. Page 1 has a pocket and I tucked in the gold shell acrylic piece. Page 2 has a little book tucked under the band to add photos to:

Here's a close up of all those yummy chippies:

This is another look at pages 3 and 4. Page 3 opens up and has a waterfall to hold lots of photos. The frame is popped up with foam on 3 sides so you can add a picture in it. Page 4 has a pocket that holds another little book. You can pull the tab and add another photo under the frame:

Page 5 has a velcro belly band and has a small accordion album. I forgot to open it when I took the pictures. Page 6 is an envelope that has velcro and holds a booklet to add more photos to:

Page 7 is another waterfall type page that holds 12 photos. Page 8: Seashells Page 8 has a pocket and I tucked in a piece of cardstock and another piece of the acrylic shells:

Here is another look at pages 9 and 10. Page 9 has a side pocket with another booklet in it. Page 10 flips up and down:

I used a mini album tutorial from my friend Bev Code. I am having a blast with these mini albums and I am working on 2 more to share with you soon. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Curl Up With A Good Book

 Hello friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #410 at CSI. I used my stash for this layout:

I backed my photo with a patterned paper from Echo Park and a book page. I fussy cut the yellow flowers from a Shimelle paper. The purple ones are from PinkFresh Studios:

For my title, I used: PinkFresh Studios (purple), Thickers (teal and yellow) and Bella Blvd. (black):

I tucked in a Distressed Clock from Creative Embellishments that I colored with a black Sharpie along with some PinkFresh Studios diecuts, stickers and fussy cut flowers:

Under my photo, I added the Book Set 1  to which I added some patterned papers to. Then I added the Book from Creative Embellishments. I added a Simple Stories word label sticker, a gold enamel dot, an enamel heart and a few bits and pieces from my stash.

I had a blast creating this layout and I love how it turned out!

Hiking In The Woods

Hey there Friends! Happy May Day!
Today I am sharing a fun outdoor layout with you that I created for Creative Embellishments. We have some wonderful state parks here in Wisconsin with lots of hiking trails. Early last summer we visited one near the Dells and did some hiking. I used some awesome chipboard pieces from the CE store along with Simple Stories Take A Hike for this page:

I used the Cloud Border Stencil to trace a few clouds with a pencil on my white cardstock background. Then filled them in with watercolor. I also added some watercolor smooshes to the background- blue in the sky and green on the land. I colored the Hiking chippy with ink and used that for my subtitle:

I colored the Distressed Wood Sign with ink and added some stickers to it. I placed it to the left of my photos. I added craft foam to pop up my photos:

I added some ink to a Spruce Cluster and placed them to the right of my photos. These are perfect for any outdoor photos! I love them!

I also love the Small Trees- they are the perfect size. I colored this one with ink and added it on top of my photo and the sign. I used inks on the In The Woods chippy and used that for my title. I originally was going to use it for a camping page so I think I will order another, lol. I fussy cut the shoe prints and added a few word phrase stickers:

I added a few distressed triangles, some machine stitching and a few fussy cut hikers to the bottom of my page:

I love those clouds and wish I would have used the Tree Stencil on my background as well. Maybe next time?! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
