Zombie Infected Area: Creative Embellishments

 Hey there Creative Friends!

Today I am sharing a large spooky zombie tag I created using some fun chipboard from Creative Embellishments. I took the solid base from the Flourish Tag Set 1 and used that as my background. I adhered  patterned papers to it with Modge Podge, tearing some of the papers. The orange and black paper is from Rusty Pickle:

I used inks to color the Zombie Infected Area and added that to the top of my tag:

I heat embossed in black the Haunted House 4 and placed it between some of the layers of green patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket. To the left top of the house, I added a Mirrored Gold Moon:

I heat embossed in white the Zombie Border and added that to my tag:

I also heat embossed the Halloween Tree and placed it on my tag. Finally, I added some white acrylic paint spatters, some sequins and a spider from DCWV and tied a bow using ribbon from my stash:

I had a blast creating this fun Halloween tag! I hope I have inspired you in some way.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Vrbo Home

 Hey there Scrappy Friends!

Today I am sharing my take on sketch #586 by the talented Laura Rumble at Sketches In Thyme

I used PinkFresh Studios Joyful Day for this layout of friends, Greg and I at our Vrbo home in Leiper's Fork Tennesee:

I traced a few circles on my white cardstock background and then used a black Sharpie to make them messy. I added some watercolor spatters:

I  cut some different sizes of circles out of patterned papers and added those to my page. I also cut my photos into circles- I haven't done this in a long time, lol!

I added some diecuts and puffy stickers from the PinkFresh collection:

I added craft foam to the back of my photos to pop them up and add some dimension:

Here is the fun sketch I worked with:

I hope you find some time to play along with the sketches this month.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Chocolate Ice Cream Treat

 Hey there Friends!

Today I am sharing a layout I created for Creative Embellishments using some of their fabulous chipboard pieces along with Pink Paislee Paige Evans patterned papers. We stopped for ice cream after my neice's graduation party back in June. I haven't been to this place since I was a kid- It was as I remembered it:

I added some yellow watercolor to my white textured cardstock background. Once that was dry, I added triangles of patterned papers to the left of my photo to create a sunburst. I machine stitched those in place.
I used acrylic paints to color the 3 Scoop Ice Cream Cone and the Soft Serve Cone. I added those to the right side of my photo. I fussy cut the sun from one of the patterned papers and added that to the upper right side of the cones. I fussy cut some of the banner words and placed them on the cones:

For my title, I used Ice Cream Words and painted them with acrylic paints as well:

Here's the second half of my title using the Ice Cream Words. I added some fussy cut borders and then added my journaling above them:

I had a blast creating this fun page and I love how it came out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Friends

 Hey there scrappy friends!

Today I am sharing a layout that I created for CSI using case file #420. I used a variety of manufacturers from my stash for this page of our fall camping group:

I used  a few different colors of cardstock for my background, stitching them together with brown thread. I added strips of patterned papers from Pink Paislee Memorandum and Crate Paper Craft Market. I also added some machine stitching to the strips of papers:

I added in some Hip Kit Club chipboard pieces and the title, friends, is also from Hip Kit:

I added some fussy cut images as well as some diecuts from Crate Paper and Pink Paislee:

I tucked in a few Hip Kit Club leaves, another chipboard piece, some diecuts and a cup from Jen Hatfield:

Here's a quick look at the case file:

I was inspired by the colors and autumn theme. For evidence, I used: text pattern, eyeglasses, typewriter, leaves, cup, flower, stars, ink splats and numbers.
I hope you will find some time to paly along with us this month! Thanks for                                                                  stopping by and have a great day!

State Park

 Hello creative Friends!

Today I am sharing a hiking layout I created using some fabulous chippies from Creative Embellishments along with Echo Park Summer Adventure and items from my stash for this page of Sierra and I:

I tore white textured cardstock and then machine stitched it to tan cardstock.I added acrylic paints with a brush to my white textured cardstock background. When that was dry, I applied black Stazon ink to the Distressed Crackle Stamp and stamped over the paint:

I matted my photos on patterned paper and then on tan cardstock. I machine stitched a few strips of a border sticker and patterned paper then added my photos on top. I used a crylic paints to color the Winter Tree 4 and added that in between my photos. I added acrylic paint to the "hiking" chippy and placed that on top:

For my title, I colored the State Park chippy:

I added some stickers from the Echo Park collection popping some up on craft foam to add some dimension:

I added in a few tabs from Pink Paislee. I added this cute chipboard Bird that I painted with acrylic paints as well:

I added the cute sign sticker. Here's another look at the Hiking chippy:

I love how this page came out! Plus it was so much fun creating my background!
I hope I have inspired you in some way.
