The Love of Football

Hey there friends!
Are you a football fan? Do your kids play football? Then you need this chipboard piece! LOL!
I am sharing a football layout with you today that I created for Creative Embellishments.
Austin played football a few years in high school, so these chipboard pieces were perfect for this layout:

I used The Love of Football chipboard piece for my title and used Lindy's mists to color them. I added a few MAMBI stickers from my stash and machine stitched through a few of them. I popped the "Go Team" one up with craft foam to add some dimension:

I have been dying to try one of the new shaker sets in the store and this Star Shaker Set was perfect for a sports page. I added a variety of sequins and confetti to it. I used ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever with the No Clog Writing Cap attached to put it together. I added the football helmet, colored with Lindy's, from the Football Set on top of the shaker:

I used Distressed Grid Stencil to add some modeling paste to my background and then added watercolors:

This was such a fun and messy layout to create!

Trailer Trash

Hey there friends!
I have a new layout for Creative Embellishments to share with you.
Have you seen the new Trailer Trash chipboard pieces in the store? I love them and just had to use them on this layout of our camping friends:

I used Fancy pants Happy Go Lucky collection and ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever. I sprayed the camper with a Lindy's mist and fussy cut the bow from one of the papers:

I also used a few Lindy's mists on the words "Trailer Trash".

I added 3 tags, a few layers of patterned papers under my photo and another bow:

Here I added a few stickers, another bow, a ticket and some stitching:

I love how fun this layout is! Kind of like my fellow campers, LOL! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Isn't She Lovely?

Hey everyone!
I have a layout up at Creative Embellishments today.
I used lots of CE chipboard along with Simple Stories Vintage Bliss and ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever for this layout of Sierra. This photo was taken in January. She is studying abroad in Marburg, Germany this semester and this photo was taken while they were touring the city.

For my title, I used Isn't She Lovely. I added white acrylic paint, then mixed together a few yellow acrylic paints to get the right color. Then I spattered it with a few mists:

I used the smallest of the 3 Simple Doily Frames and cut it in two pieces. I added part of it to the bottom of my layout and the rest I added to the right side. I backed the frame with patterned paper. I added acrylic paints and mist spatters to this piece as well. I tucked in a piece of the Delphinium here also:

I used the medium of the Simple Doily Frames on top of my photo. I added the Delphinium pieces on both sides of my photo. These pieces were also colored using acrylic paint and mist spatters.

I added a few flowers , leaves and fussy cut flowers to this layout. I finished it off with lots of mist spatters:

I love how this layout came out! Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Dream A Little Dream

Hey everyone!
Today I am sharing a layout created for Creative Embellishments May challenge.
I used Basic Grey Prism and ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever along with some wonderful Creative Embellishment products:

I added watercolor to my background. The "gem" cut file from the Silhouette store was cut on white cardstock with my Cameo. I added Lindy's black mist to it and then machine stitched it on my background. I added a butterfly flair from the Fly Away Flair set.

I used the same mist to color the Dream a Little...Gems and the word "Imagine" from the Dream Word Set. I backed the Gems with patterned paper. Isn't that title just gorgeous?! I love it!

I used 1 of the Fairies and colored it with Recollections mist.

Go check out the inspiration photo and the twist that goes with it. Play along with us! Nicole has a gift certificate up for grabs!  I can't wait to see your take on this challenge!

Twine Bottle

Hey there friends!
I am back to share a fun project using The Best Glue Ever.
Over the years, I saved a few bottles that Prima flowers used to come in. I decided to use some of my Divine Twine and wrap one of the bottles.

I grabbed The Best Glue Ever and applied it to the bottle using a paint brush:

I started wrapping it with the twine only adding glue to about an inch at a time:

I decided to use two different twines:

I continued wrapping until I did the entire bottle. I added another piece of twine to tie a bow:

I plan on putting a few fake flowers in it and placing on the table in my screened in porch.
Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

A Shaker Card

Hey there!
I am  here today to share a fast and easy way to create a shaker card.
I used Simple Stories for my card:

I have lots of chipboard frames in my stash, so I took one of them and some clear packaging:

I added the Best Glue Ever to the top of my frame:

and then placed the clear packaging on top, making sure it was smooth:

I cut off the excess packaging and cut a piece of patterned paper to cover the back of the frame:

Then I placed sequins on top of the packaging on the backside:

I added some of The Best Glue Ever:

and placed the cardstock over it. Make sure that the side of the cardstock you want to see in the shaker is towards the sequins:

Create your card base and add the shaker. Then decorate it with a few embellishments.

Here's my finished card again:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Cheers to You!

Hello!
There's a new challenge up at Cards In Envy today: Cheers to You! Create a congratulation or celebration card.
I used Lawn Fawn Plaid Paper pad, their stamps & matching dies along with ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever and Embellie Gellie for this fun card:

The fine tip cap on the Best Glue Ever was perfect for adding my "Congrats" sentiment. It allows you to add a little glue at a time and create a thin line. The Embellie Gellie allows you  to place sequins or other small embellishment with ease.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

The Love of Baseball

Hello!
It's my day up on the  Creative Embellishment blog today.
I am sharing a baseball page of Austin.
When I saw "The Love of Baseball" chippy in the store, I knew I had to have it! I have lots of baseball pictures of my son to scrap and this chippy was perfect for a title!

I started my layout by adding some watercolor to my background using the packaging technique. Then I added some spatters. Here's a close up of my title. For "The Love of" I used an orange Nuvo Glitter Marker to color it. Once it was dry, I added orange Gelato and a bit of water and rubbed using my finger.

I colored the "Baseball" with a black Sharpie. For the bats, I used a lime green Gelato for the handles and a silver Nuvo Glitter Marker for the rest of it. For the baseball, I colored it with a white Gelato and then used a red marker to run along the stitching.

I added a few cluster of the Stars Wood Veneer and loved the look of them plain.

I added Diamonds  chipboard to the base of my page. They were colored with a black Sharpie. Then I backed them with some Paper House Productions papers using The Best Glue Ever.  I love using this glue on mixed media pages!

Finally, I added a small Wood Veneer Baseball along with a sticker to the corner of my photo.

I hope I have inspired you to scrap those sports photos. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

He's So Fine!

Hey there!

I am sharing a layout I created for Creative Embellishments and have up on their blog today.
As I was browsing the Creative Embellishment Store, I came across the He's So Fine chipboard title pieces. I knew right away that I had to have this piece for a layout of my son all dressed up for Homecoming last year. I paired it with: Grunge Gear Corner Grunge Circle Frames and Gears 1" I love the outcome!

I added Tim Holtz Distress Ink to both the Grunge Circle Frame and the Grunge Gear Corner. Then added a few black ink spatters.

Just a tip before applying ink to chipboard- I always try it on the back of the piece of chipboard to make sure I have the right color. I added a chipboard pennant, flowers and a punched butterfly to this cluster around the Grunge Gear Corner:

For the He's So Fine Title Piece, I heat embossed using black embossing powder. Here you can see a close up of the Grunge Circle Frame:

I added a few more embellishments to create a small cluster down in the lower right corner:

I added some flowers, some painted with watercolors, a piece of chipboard, punched butterflies and a few of the 1" Gears, which I also colored with the distress inks with ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever. I love how the gears keep the theme of the guy page, even though I have flowers on it. A year ago, I would have never added flowers to a guy page, LOL

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me! Stay scrappy my friends!
