Texas Crop

 Hey friends!

I am sharing a layout created for Sketches In Thyme. I used Echo Park Creative Agenda for this page of myself back in 2010 at my first and only crop! I met a bunch of online scrappy friends in real life, that was so cool!

Here are a few close ups:

Hope you will play along with us!

Thinking Of You Card

 Hey friends!

I have another Richard Garay card to share with you today. This is a thinking of you card using heat embossing. I heat embossed the Kissable Dandelion Stamp in gold and then created the watercolor background using RG Sugar Cubes. I just added 3 colors (Rich Cherry, Rich Tangerine & Rich Honey Sugar Cubes) to some plastic packaging and added a bit of water. Then I blended the 3 colors together. I added my sentiment from the Feel Better Digital Stamp Set:

I placed that on top of some Sweet Banana Card Stock. I took Tangy Orange Cardstock and used the Handwritten Stamp along with Tangy Orange Sugar Cube. I love the tone on tone look this gives!
Finally, I added some Sweet Banana Sugar Drops to the Media Mixer to make some spatters.
I love how beautiful this card is!

Summertime: Fresh & Tasty

Hey there friends!

I have a layout created for Creative Embellishments to share with you today.

Fall is in the air here in Wisconsin or maybe it’s winter since north and west of us they are getting snow. I have at least one more summer layout to share with you. My hubby, Greg and I put in a pretty big garden every spring. We try and keep up with the weeding all summer, but it seems like we can never keep up! These are a few pics of when we were caught up and everything is beginning to grow:

To create my background I used the Distressed Crackle Stamp  and RG Rich Cactus & Sweet Cane Sugar Cubes. I also used the Distressed Grid Stamp and RG Gray Stuff Sugar Cube. I also added some watered down acrylic paint spatters. I used the word Summertime for my title and used acrylic paints to color it:

The Vegetables were perfect for this "garden" layout. I painted them with acrylic paints:

Here are a few more Vegetables painted with acrylic paints. I used Basic Grey papers and embellishments. I added in a few Simple Stories word phrase stickers:

The "I'd rather be gardening!" is from JilliBean Soup as is the & sign and stars:

This was such a fun layout to create! I love using the stamps from CE on my backgrounds! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

The Little Things

Hey there friends!
I am sharing a layout created for Richard Garay Designs. I am loving all of their products, especially the inks! I used one of their stencils, Rotating Square, along with some modeling paste for the background on this layout:

I made watercolors from the ink pads just by dabbing some of the ink (Sweet Cane, Sweet Banana, Sweet Pink, and Sweet Blue Sugar Cubes) on plastic packaging and then spritzed with water. I added some of the watercolors on top of the modeling paste after it was dry:

I used the Filled Garden Stamp Set and stamped the outside of the flowers using Black Taffy Sugar Cube on Powdered Sugar Card Stock. I stamped the inside of the flowers using the same stamp set and these colors of Sugar Cubes: Sweet Banana, Sweet Pink, Sweet Blue and Tangy Apple for the leaves. Then I fussy cut them. I added a tag from Crate Paper Notes & Things and included a bow using Black Taffy Twine:

I added lots of fussy cut and stamped flowers. Aren't they gorgeous?! I added a few Crate Paper Bloom word stickers and June tag. I added in a few torn strips of washi tape- Orange is October Afternoon, blue gingham is Bella Blvd. and black & white stripe is Recollections:

I added a Crate Paper Bloom butterfly along with some tangled Black Taffy Twine:

I love how this layout came it! all those flowers are stunning!

Turtle Shaker

Hey there Scrappy Friends!
I am sharing a shaker page I have up at Creative Embellishments today. While camping in June at Lake Wissota state park, we came across a snapping turtle and I snapped a quick picture of it.

I used the Turtle Shaker 2 along with some stash on this layout:

I used Richard Garay's Sugar Drops and Media Mixer to paint the turtle. I added some Buttons Galore Falling Leaves, Thankful & Cactus sequin mixes. I used ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever to put the shaker together:

I used a few collections from Echo Park ( So Happy Together, Happy Camper & Summer Camp) along with the cream grid paper from Scenic Route (remember them? Now that is some old paper!) and BoBunny Camp A Lot:

I added some machine stitching, a sticker and a few die cuts:

These shakers are so fun to make! Have you tried any yet? There are lots to choose from in the store HERE. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Blessed Fall

 Hey there friends!

Today I am sharing a layout created for Richard Garay Designs. I played with the Blessed Fall Digital Stamp set and had an absolute blast! I also added a bit of the Flea Market collection from Doodlebug Designs. I cut a piece of the white cardstock off at the top and bottom of my layout and added in a piece of Rich Tangerine Sugar Stock. Then added some machine stitching:

On my background, I used Sour Mist & Tangy Apple Sugar Cubes. I smooshed them onto plastic packaging, added a bit of water to create a watercolor and smooshed it on my white background paper. Then I took the Handwritten Stamp with Black Taffy Sugar Cube and added that to my background.

I printed out the digital stamp on white cardstock and then used watercolor pencils to add some color. Finally I fussy cut them.

I love the leaves and that cute hat!

I even added one of the digital sentiments for my title. I fussy cut a few small leaves from the Doodlebug Flea Market collection:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Treat

 Hey friends!

I am back with another project to share with you today. This is a layout created for CSI using case file # 333. I used a variety of manufacturers on this page:

I used Richard Garay Sweet Blue Sugar Cube combined with water for my background. I added some fussy cut flowers (white) and a cupcake from Jen Hadfield. I hand cut the scallop from a Jen Hadfield paper and stitched it in place. The yellow rose and "sweet" are from Maggie Holmes:

The donuts are from Jen Hadfield. The labels and hearts are from Fancy Pants. I added some Prima crystals:

I used my circle punch and punched a few circles. I also fussy cut the pink/red flowers:

Halloween Canvas

 Hey friends!

Today I am sharing a Halloween canvas I created for Creative Embellishments using some fun Halloween chippies, mists and Echo Park The Apothecary Emporium. I created this for the October monthly challenge:

I applied white Gesso to the canvas and then applied mists using a paintbrush:

I used Lindy's Bomb Shell Black mist to color these Creative Embellishment chipboard pieces:
Halloween Scene 2, Corn Stalks. Here are some close ups:

I used The Best Glue Ever to adhere the chipboard to the canvas.

This was such a fun project to create!
