They Call Him Duck

Hello!
It's my day to post the Friday Favorite challenge at My Scraps & More today. Every Friday we post a layout from the gallery to lift. I chose a layout from Michelle to lift.
Here is my page using Heidi Swapp September Skies along with some old October Afternoon embellies:

I added some extra triangles cut by hand to the left side of my layout:

These ducks from October Afternoon were perfect since that is my sons nickname at school:

Hope you have a great day!

Christmas Tags

Hey there!
I am up on the My Scraps & More Blog today sharing a few tags I created using the Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas Embellishment Kit. This kit is full of wonderful Fancy Pants Christmas embellies! Love it!

For my first tag, I started out by adding brown and red ink to my embossing folder, added the tag and then ran it through my Cuttlebug. This was my result:

Then I just layered embellies from the kit onto it.

I added some Stickles to the embossed snowflakes and some of the embellies to give some shimmer and depth:

My second tag is oh so simple but cute. I used the premade tag and distressed and inked the edges before adhering with pop dots. So EASY!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Last card

Hello!
Just sharing my last card I created over the weekend for the Turtle Soup November Mini Crop. Every month they have a fun mini crop!
For my last card, I used Joan's paint and lace challenge.
I painted some white card stock green and used an ink pad to color my lace burgandy to match the papers. I used Carta Bella Christmas Day:

I love how it turned out and the colors of the paint and ink match perfectly.

Have a great day!

Best Friends

Woohoo it's Friday!
Over on the My Scraps & More Sketch Blog there is a new sketch to play with.
I used Fancy Pants True Friend collection for this layout of Sierra and her BFF:

I used a Hero Arts Stencil along with light modeling paste along with some of the flowers from the Ephemera Pack. My first intention was to use water colors to color the paste, but once it dried, I loved the look of the white and left it.

Here are some close ups:

I used a black pen to outline the papers, love the look!

Here is the sketch:

Isn't it fun?

Have a great weekend!

Inspiration Elevator November Challenge- Layers

Our main purpose here at IE is to challenge ourselves, each other and YOU to take the creative process to the next level;  to inspire growth and change in our scrapbooking beyond the mundane.
You can see all of Inspiration Elevator's previous challenges at on Facebook .

This month's challenge is issued by the creative Katherine Sutton. Katharine has a fabulous, eclectic style where she showcases all kinds of mediums and keeps the focus on her great photos. This month she has a warm seasonal challenge for us. Here it is in her own words:

" 'cos Autumn is all about layers of leaves and layers of jumpers (in the northern hemisphere) I would like to challenge you to add lots of layers to your page....this could be layers of paints, inks, stamps, papers, glassine paper, acetate....lots of lovely layers."

I loved this challenge, it gave me a reason to take time and get dirty, LOL! I played with lots of fun techniques. I applied Gesso to my background. Then I used a stencil and a black marker to add circles and added Gelatos and water inside them. I sprayed with mist, added some stamping. Then piled on 5 layers of paper, some mesh, some thread and embellies. I love the fun and messy look of this page! Thanks for the challenge Katherine!

Here are some close ups:

We encourage you to check out each designer's creation this month: here's a complete list of this month's participating designers!

Why not give the challenge a try yourself? Then pop by our Facebook page and share with us what you created!

Summer Time!

Happy Saturday!
With the cold weather here, I am longing for a summer day, LOL! Guess I am going to have awhile to wait.
Scrap & Play has a new challenge today!
So with my yearning of summer, I dug out my Echo Park Sweet Summertime collection. I have had this in my stash for quite some time, so it felt good to use it!

Here are a few close ups:

Here is todays challenge (#14)

My layout was inspired by this layout of Wendi's:

Christmas Banner

Happy Hump Day!
It's my day up on the My Scraps & More Blog with a project to share. I received the Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas Embellishment Kit to play with. I am a huge fan of Fancy Pants, so this kit was right up my alley. I love this kit!
For my first project, I created a Christmas banner:

For the base of my pennants, I used Spellbinder dies- Lacey Pennants for the white and Pennants with the kraft paper and ran them through my Cuttlebug to cut them. You could use your Cricut, any other diecut machine, or cut them by hand. I stitched them together and then just started laying the embellishments from the kit on the pennants and arranged them until I was happy with the placement. I added some distressing and ink and then I strung them together using ribbon from my stash.

Here are some close ups:

Easy peasy and a great way to decorate your mantle for the holidays.

I will be sharing a few tags I made with this kit in a few weeks. Hope you will go check out this fun kit Audrey has put together!
