In The Ditch

Hey there scrappy friends!
I am back to share another winter layout with you that I created for Creative Embellishments.  Back in December we had some slippery roads here in Wisconsin, which isn't unusual for us. Austin was on his way home from work and slid in the ditch. He snapped my a photo of his car in the ditch with the caption- "perfect parking spot". Needless to say, his "perfect parking spot" cost us $140 to have a tow truck pull him out since he was out in the boonies when it happened. I used Crate Paper Snowflake collection along with some fun chipboard pieces:

I used the In The Ditch title piece for my title and colored it with acrylic paint. I added some white acrylic paint spatters. I backed the photo with a few patterned papers from the collection:

I added some diecuts and a tag here as well as a chipboard snowflake that I colored with acrylic paints:

Check out that cute tow truck! I colored it with acrylic paints and added the "brrr" sticker for the tow truck company. I added a few clear stickers from the collection:

I stamped the date, added a few more diecuts and another chipboard snowflake:

I had a blast creating this page and I love how it came out! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Super Fun Day

 Hey there scrappy friends!

Today I am sharing my second layout for Bramble Fox. Here is my take on the April challenge using some goodies from Bramble Fox along with Carta Bella Summer collection for this page of my family and I:

I added mist spatters to my white cardstock background. Then I fussy cut clusters of flowers and created a wreath with them. Do you enjoy fussy cutting? Fussy cutting is so relaxing to me, I could cut for hours. I added a few layers of patterned papers under my photo. I used the "super" perspextive as part of my title. I love how it pops against the photo and flowers. I used gold Hip Kit Club alphas and some older My Mind's Eyes green alphas from my stash to finish off the title:

I fussy cut the "Good vibes" tab from the Paper Snips #001 and added it behind my photo. I also tucked it a few of these gorgeous pink hearts from the Valentines Hearts set:

I threaded some twine through 3 of the tags in the Tiny Tags set and draped those accross the top left of my wreath. I finished my wreath off with a gold bow from Maggie Holmes:

Here is the April challenge:

I hope you will play along with us this month!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Easter

 Hello creative friends!

I am up on the Sketches In Thyme blog today with this beautiful Easter page of Sierra and I:

I added a few yellow Distress Oxide Inks through the Starburst Stencil to create my background. Then I added some watercolor spatters.  I used a bunch of stamps from my stash along with Distress Oxide Inks for my flowers. I stamped them on white textured cardstock and then fussy cut them out.  I punched some sprigs that I colored with the Distress Oxide Inks as well and tucked in a few. I outlined some of the flowers with a black marker to make them pop:

Isn't that little deer adorable? He’s a stamp from American Crafts. I stamped him and then fussy cut him out- popped him up with foam tape:

I colored an easter basket from Creative Embellishments with ink and tucked in 3 Easter eggs that I colored with the Distress Oxide Inks. I added a bunny that I colored with white acrylic paint to the basket. I punched a few butterflies:

I used an AC Thicker for my title. I also added a stamped sub title and my date:

I had a blast stamping and fussy cutting and I love how this page came out!
Hope you find some time to play along with us this month!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Taco Tuesday

Hey everyone!
I am back to share a fun layout with you that I created for Creative Embellishments.
Austin's first job was at Taco John's- he was 16. He worked there for a few years. He was excited when they asked him to wear the Chewbacca costume for a promotion they were running and being his goofy self- he had a blast doing it. I used the Taco Tuesday set along with a few other pieces from the store and Jen Hatfield for this fun page. I used the 'work" clip at the bottom of my page:

I added watercolor to my white textured cardstock. I used an ink pad to color the tacos from the Taco Tuesday:

I used a few different ink pads to color the Taco Tuesday title piece. I fussy cut a few butterflies:

I used the same inks to color the heart:

I popped the "let's go!" from one of the papers. I used the Chunky Alpha Set for the word "eat":
