Winter Work

Hey there!
It's my turn again up on the ScraPerfect Blog.
I am sharing a not so fun winter layout- it involves shoveling! LOL!
I used Fancy Pants Timbergrove and Winterland along with a cut file from Paper Issues, LYB snowflakes and Studio Calico wood veneer:

I wanted to add some patterned paper behind the open circle of the cut file.

I used The Best Glue Ever along with the No-Clog Writing Cap to add a thin line of glue to the cut file:

Then flipped it over on the patterned paper. Perfect results every time!

Here are a few close ups of my layout:

I used The Best Glue Ever to adhere the snowflakes and my title:

Love how quick and fast it holds!

Thanks for sharing your day with me!

A Few Winter Cards

Hello!
Here are a few cards I created earlier this week:
This first one is for a card sketch at Stick It Down. I used Fancy Pants Timbergrove and Simple Stories enamel dots:

Here's the sketch:

For my second card, I used a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap along with Fancy Pants Winterland and a challenge at Words 2 Craft By (If kisses were snowflakes, I'd send you a blizzard.)

Here's the sketch for this one:

I love that I used stash for both of these cards and I love how they turned out!

Happy Trails

Hey there!
It's my turn to share my layout for the sketch over at Sketches In Thyme.
I used October Afternoon stash. The background paper is from Rocket Age and the rest is Sasparilla. I used an older photo of Sierra and I and came up with this fun page:

I added lots and lots of stickers, popping some up with foam:

These alphas are also from OA:

All the circles came in the Sasparilla collection and were perfect for the sketch:

Love this sticker:

Here is the sketch by Shawn Lahr:

It was fun using my stash!
Check out the SIT blog and see what the rest of the design did with the sketch!

Thankful

Hello!
I am back to share another layout I created during the ice storm.
I used a sketch at Sketch-N-Scrap along with some old Heidi Swapp papers. Yes, I am trying to bust some stash here! I used a cut file from Paper Issues and colored it with watercolors:

Here are a few close ups:

I am using some sequin stash as well:

This is not one of my favorite layouts, but I finally scrapped these photos.

Vacation Layout

Hey there!
I had Monday and yesterday off of work due to an ice storm, so I spent a lot of my time in my scrap room.
I played along with a lift challenge at Paper Issues, a mini crop challenge at Creative Inspiration and combined them with the February 15th case file at CSI.
I used mostly Dear Lizzy Lovely Day for this vacation page of Sierra:

I fussy cut the roses from one of the papers and added a few diecuts from the collection. I added a wood veneer heart colored with Gelatos:

I created my background using watercolors and machine stitching. I used Thickers from my stash for the title:

Here's the case file:

I was inspired by the colors and added floral pattern, hearts, bird, leaves & flowers for my evidence.
Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Camping Fun!

Hello!
I played with the other February 15th sketch at Stuck?! Sketches on Sunday. I used Fancy Pants Happy Go Lucky for this page of my great nieces and nephews:

I layered a frame and bag along with a ticket behind my photos. I added a few diecuts, a sticker and a fussy cut flower and leaves:

I popped the diecut camper up with foam and used some old Basic Grey alphas. Then I stitched through the title:

I added a tag, diecuts and some stitching above the photos:

Here is the sketch:

I have been using a lot of my stash lately and it feels so good!
Thanks for stopping and enjoy the rest of your day!

Give It Some Heart!

Hello!
Give It Some Heart! That's the theme of the new card challenge posted at Cards In Envy today. The challenge is to create a card that has one or more hearts on it and that fits in a regular size envelope that doesn't require additional postage.

I used BoBunny stash for this layout along with some heart cut files laying on my desk:

I colored the hearts with watercolor and finished the card off with some puffy stickers from Fancy Pants.
I would love to have you play along with us this month!

Love Every Minute...

Hello and happy Sunday!
Today I am sharing a layout I created using one of the February 15th sketches at Stuck?! Sketches and the Take 5 challenge at paper Issues. I used Cocoa Vanilla Wild At Heart for this layout of Sierra and I:

I added some navy machine stitching in a circle and then added some mists to my background. I fussy cut the "Love every minute" from one of the papers and then dug deep into my stash for the "with" and "You". The "with" is from Authentique and the "you" is from when I first started scrapping 21 years ago:

I added a rubber charm and a chipboard heart along with 3 fussy cut butterflies. Behind the photo, I added a chipboard frame and a few different patterned papers:

Here is the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Boys

Hey there!
No work yesterday equalled a bit of scrappy time for me!
I used the blend- a-sketch challenge at Scrap Our Stash along with an old Little Yellow Bicycle line- Fern & Forest and came up with this page of Greg and Austin:

I added watercolor to my background. I tore a strip of the vellum with gold stars from Shimelle and stitched that onto my background. I fussy cut the word "Boys" from one of the papers. I added a textured diecut with some tangled thread underneath. I added the blue torn piece of patterned paper and stitched it with my sewing machine Finally I added a Creative Embellishment wood veneer heart:

I hand cut the tag and added a few more layers of patterned papers under my photo. I also added a few more diecuts and some tangled thread:

I hand cut the star, fussy cut the small green stars and added a few stickers:

Here is the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Dream

Hey there!
I am excited to share that I was asked to be a guest designer this month at Stick It Down. Stick It Down is collaborating with Scrap The Boys this month.
I played along with the sketch from Stick It Down and the moodboard for Scrap The Boys and came up with this layout of Austin:
I used watercolors and a Creative Embellishment stamp (Twinkle) for my background. I used the heart cut file designed by Laura and cut it out on white cardstock. I then hand cut 2 more hearts- one from tissue paper and another from a Studio Calico transparency. I machine stitched them all down using gold thread:

I added a torn piece of paper and a hand cut tag under my photo. Then I used ephemera from Fancy Pants Dream Big, tangled thread and an Elle's Studio acrylic heart:

A few more ephemera pieces and some more tangled thread.
I used the negative hearts from the cut file and added watercolor to them in an ombre effect to match the mood board:

I fussy cut my title "Dream" from an AC Shimelle Little By Little paper. I also added a few puffy stickers, a few Teresa Collins Word Snippets and some black Heidi Swapp spatters:

Here is the sketch:

and the mood board:

I would like to thank Ashley at Stick It Down for having me this month!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Joy

Hi there!
I am here today to share a layout I have up over on the ScraPerfect Blog today.
I used a cut file from Just Nick and added ScraPerfect Transfer Foil to it using The Best Glue Ever. I used items from my stash for this Christmas page of Austin and I:

I added watercolor to the background:

I added a poinsettia, I think this is from Prima:

I added a few corrugated trees to add some texture. I fussy cut the red glitter hearts from a Paper House paper:

Are you wondering how to use the foil? Check out my tutorial on the ScraPerfect blog.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
