Grand Ole Opry

 Hey there creative friends!

Today I am sharing my take on sketch #594 at Sketches In Thyme. I used October Afternoon and Pink Paislee for this travel page:

Because I used so many photos on this page, I kept the embellishments to a minimum. I cut 2 strips of Pink Paislee patterned paper and machine stitched them on my layout. I added some watercolors to the background. I added the guitar sticker from October Afternoon. The alphas are both from Hip Kit:

I fussy cut the "dream big" banner from one of Paige's papers:

I added a few diecuts and stickers:

Here is the sketch by Shawn Lahr:

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Favorite April Fool's Day Laugh Ever

 Hey there scrappy friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #408 at CSI. I used lots of stash on this fun April Fool's Day layout of Austin:

I added strips of patterned papers from My Minds Eye Boy Crazy. I tore a piece of washi tape and added that under the yellow strip of paper. I added some stitching along with watercolors on my background. I fussy cut a few clouds from white cardstock and added some ink. The "what?!" diecut, label stickers and mustache stickers are from October Afternoon. I fussy cut a few fireworks from a PhotoPlay paper:

I used a Hip Kit Club pocket life card to hold my title. I fussy cut the "April" from another one. "Fools Day" are Cloud 9 alphas from my stash. I added a ticket and the "documented" chipboard piece from my stash as well:

I fussy cut the "Laugh" from a MME paper. The "Ever" I fussy cut as well. I am not sure who made that. I also added a few fussy cut stars, some doodling and the stitched starburst:

Here's a quick look at the case file.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Bathroom

 Hello there scrappy friends!

I have a layout to share for CSI today using case file #386 along with lots of stuff from my stash. After almost a year, we finally have a bathroom in the basement! We contacted the contracter back in December of 2020. He was suppose to start the fall of 2021. Covid hit his family, I am sad to say his wife passed away from it. He started the bathroom at the end of January and finished mid February. I love how it turned out and had to create a layout:

I used alphas from October Afternoon, Making Memories and Thickers for my title:

I used papers from:
Orange striped- Fancy pants
Brown- My Little Shoebox
Chartreuse- Websters Pages

I added in some fussy cut flowers, cork arrows and frames from Fancy Pants. I added a metal book plate from making Memories:

I also tucked in a bow made from sheer ribbon and some Dew Drops from Robin's Nest:

Check out the cute wood elephant! He's been in my stash for quite some time:

I love all the bits and pieces of stash I was able to use on this page!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Kiss The Cook

Hey everyone!
I am back with you today to share a fun baking layout that I created for Creative Embellishments.
Every year before the holidays, Sierra and I spend some time making cookies / candy for Christmas:

I added some October Afternoon papers from my stash to my white background and the added some machine stitching. I used red embossing powder and heat embossed the Kiss The Cook title piece. I backed my photo with brown cardstock and popped it up on my layout:

I colored the Spoons with a silver marker and then added some brown embossing powder to the handles and heat set:

I used the same silver marker on the bowl and whisk of the mixer and then used the same red embossing powder on the body of the Mixer. I used the same brown embossing powder on the Spatula. I did the same treatment to the tools at the bottom of my page:

I fussy cut a few pot holders and popped them up on my page. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Wanted

Hey there friends!
I am back to share a western layout with you using some fun chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments. Back in 2011 we were in Estes Park, CO for a wedding and on the way home stopped in Colorado Springs. A bunch of us went to the Flying W Ranch and took in a chuckwagon dinner and western show. There was a small town to walk through there and I took these photos of Greg, Austin and Sierra in the jail and one of my son in front of the wanted sign:

Check out the look on my son's face. I love it! I used October Afternoon Sasparilla for this page. I added watercolor to my background and then added a patterned paper behind my photo and machine stitched it to my background paper creating a pocket to tuck in the tag with my journaling. All of the chipboard pieces I used are from the Cowboy Set. I added white gesso to the skull:

I left the wanted frame naked and added a border sticker around parts of it. I colored the sheriff's badge with a silver Nuvo Glitter Marker. I added a few word stickers:

I added Lindy's mist to the gun and also added a gun sticker. I used ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever to adhere the chipboard pieces to my page:

I had a blast creating this page and it was fun going down memory lane! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Chuckwagon

Hey there!
I am back to share another layout with you using some fun chippies from Creative Embellishments! These photos of my family were taken back in 2010 when we went to a chuck wagon dinner in Custer, SD:

I saw the Chuckwagon chippie in the store and thought it was perfect for this page. I added white gesso to it. Then I added acrylic paints to the top and Tim Holtz Distress stain to the wagon part of it:

I colored the cowboy boot from the Cowboy Set with the same Distress Stain and colored the spur with a Silver Nuvo Glitter Marker. I used October Afternoon Saparilla papers, diecuts and stickers:

The cowboy hat is from the Cowboy set and also colored with the same stain and added a few dots of the silver Nuvo Glitter Marker.  For my title I used alpha stickers from the Sasparilla collection. It feels so good to use my stash!

I hope I have inspired you to dig out some stash, add some chipboard and make it look new again! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Blueberries

Hey there!
I am back to share another layout with you that I created for Creative Embellishments.
We planted blueberry bushes several years ago and the last 4 years have been getting quite a few! So I had to create this layout:
I  used the Blueberries chipboard piece on this page.

I used all of the pieces and used a variety of mists to color them. Behind my photos, I added paper from Paige Evans (blue) and Maggie Holmes (purple):

I added a bunch of the blueberries to the right of the photos. I added a fussy cut mason jar and the "Goodbye city life" sticker from Studio Calico. I also added a JilliBean Soup sticker word. I fussy cut the "Berries" letters from a Studio Calico paper:

I added more berries to the bottom left side of my photos:

I fussy cut the letters of "Fresh" "Yummy" and "Blue" from one of the Studio Calico papers as well. I added a Basic Grey tag sticker, JilliBean Soup word sticker (Garden Fresh) and an October Afternoon label with the word "harvest", which is an old Chatterbox rub-on:

I added some more stickers, labels and my journaling under my title:

I used lots of stash for this layout and made it look new again by adding some chipboard and fussy cutting.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
