Farewell CIE!

Hey friends!
I am sad to say that this is the final challenge over at Cards In Envy. I have enjoyed being on this team the last 5 1/2 years! Wow, I can't believe it's been that long! I have met some wonderful people, especially Sandy. Thanks for having me!
This last challenge is to use the first sketch that was posted at CIE. I used Fancy Pants Wonderful Day and Divine Twine for this card:

I punched three circles on the top layer of my card and backed two with patterned paper. The other one, I popped up with some foam. I added a border across the middle. Backed the patterned paper with green cardstock and added some machine stitching. I fussy cut the balloon and added that to my border. Finally, I added a few chipboard buttons, with Divine Twine bows and that cute celebrate flag.

Check out the sketch on the blog and play along with us!

Get Negative!

That's the theme for the new card challenge at Cards In Envy

Get negative- Create a card with the NEGATIVE space of a die or punch.

Welcome back to my blog!
I had a hard time with this challenge and probably way over thought it, especially after I have seen the amazing cards by the rest of the team.
I decided to use the negative part of the sun burst as a stencil. I laid it on top of a white piece of cardstock and sprayed it with a few mists. When it was dry, I fussy cut it out and stitched it on another piece of misted cardstock.
Anyways, here is my card:

I finished it off with some stitching, a few clouds, some Simple Stories stickers and some twine.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Follow Your Dreams

Hello!
It's the second Monday of the month already! That means a new challenge is up at Cards In Envy. The challenge is: Make a card without ANY patterned paper.
I used my distress oxide inks and some cut files that have been laying on my desk for this card:

After applying the inks on my cardstock, I sprayed a background stamp with water and placed it on my background. I let it sit for a few minutes and then removed it. I love the results!

Check out what the rest of the DT did with this challenge and play along with us!
