Life Happens...Coffee

Hey there!
I am back to share another layout created using a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap. With the cold weather and school being canceled (which means no work for me) I am getting lots of scrappy time!
I used American Crafts Shimelle stash for this fun layout:

I used the Creative Embellishment  "Life Happens Coffee Helps" chippie and colored it with a black Sharpie.

I used a BoBunny stamp to stamp the red cup and then fussy cut it out. I fussy cut the white cup from one of the papers and then added a wood veneer cup from Creative Embellishments. I used a black Sharpie to color that as well:

I added a few layers of paper around my photo and then added the wood veneer "love" plaque, another fussy cut mug and some wood buttons:

Here is the sketch:

This was such a fun layout to create!
Thanks for stopping!

Traded In Berry

Hey there scrappy friends!
Popping in real quick on this cold day to share a layout I created using a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap and a challenge from Paper Issues. I used Carta Bella Rough & Tumble, remember that boys line? I pulled it from my stash and used it for this layout about trading in my CRV for my RAV4:

I added stickers, popping some up with foam to add some dimension. I used some old Basic Grey alphas from my stash and stitched through them:

I added a few more stickers from the collection here:

I added some mists to my background. I fussy cut all the vehicles from one of the papers and ran them along the side to create movement on my layout:

Here's the sketch:

I flipped it on it's side to fit my pictures.
Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Brrr...

Hello friends!
I have some extra scrapping time since there was no school yesterday because of the snow storm that came through. We got about 9". We are also off today, tomorrow and Thursday due to the extreme cold weather. We are in the -30's wind chill right now but later this afternoon, tomorrow and Thursday morning will be worse. They are predicting wind chills in the -50's! So I am hibernating, LOL!
I played along with a Sketch-N-Scrap card sketch yesterday. I used Basic Grey Juniper Berry along with some embellies from my stash for this fun winter card:

Here's a close up:

Here's the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by and if you are in this cold region, stay warm!

Winter Wonderland Canvas

Hey there Friends!
I am here to share a beautiful winter canvas with you that I created for Creative Embellishments and ScraPerfect:

I added Gesso to my canvas and then used blue acrylic paints and mists to add color to it. I gave the Pine Tree and Large Pine Trees a coat of Gesso. Then added Liquitex Glass Beads in spots to look like snow. I sprayed the trees with a few different green mists and let dry. Finally, I went back over the Glass beads with white acrylic paint and topped that off with Stickles to mimic snow. I love all the texture this added!

For my title, I used the words "Winter" and  "Wonderland" from the Snow Word Set. I added a few layers of white acrylic paint to them and then added some spatters of blues and silver mists:

I added some of the glass beads, mists, Stickles and Gesso to the Pine Cone Clusters as well:

For snowflakes, I used: Falling Snow Set, Chipboard Snowflakes and Large Snowflake Set. I added a few layers of white acrylic paint and then spattered them with silver and blue mists. I topped them off with some Stickles:

I used ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever to adhere all the Creative Embellishment chipboard to this canvas. It works awesome on the mixed media.

Have you ever created a canvas? This was my first one. I love how it came out and will be making more!

Fun Day

Hello!
I posted a challenge yesterday at Creative Inspiration and I wanted to share my layout here. I used MME stash for this layout of the kids and I on a train ride in Cripple Creek back in 2010:

I fussy cut my title out of a title card. I added a sticker and a wooden button.

On my background I used a Tim Holtz stencil and added modeling paste through it. Then I added some watercolors. I added lots of paper layers under my photo. Some of them I tore to add some texture:

Mother's Day

Hey there!
Today I am sharing my layout for the DT reveal at Off The Rails. I used MME Good Day Sunshine for this layout of me with my kids a few years ago on Mothers Day. We were shopping and sat down on some patio furniture for a few pics:

I used a cut file, not sure where it is from, since I didn't write it down and cut it out of white cardstock on my Cameo. I backed it with patterned paper and then went around the letters with a brown marker to make them pop. I fussy cute the letters of "Love" from one of the papers:

I added some layers of papers behind my photo and then added a cluster of flowers along with some sprigs from another cut file that was laying on my desk:

Here's the inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the "Mom" theme and colors.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Gather Together

Hi there!
I am back to share my newest layout for CSI. I used the November Hip Kit Club kit for this family reunion layout:

I started this layout layering all these leaves. The green ones were cut from my Cameo and have been laying in a drawer for quite some time. I colored them with watercolors and then sprinkled them with some Heidi Swapp Gold Colorshine. I fussy cut the blue flowers from a Maggie Holmes Willow Lane paper. The acetate and wood veneer leaves are exclusives from Hip Kit. I love them both!

The gold word "Together" are Thickers included in the kit. The hearts and blue alphas that I used for the word "Gather" are also an exclusive in the kit.

Here I added a few fussy cut flowers, a Heidi Swapp ampersand, another wood veneer leaf, a cut file and some tangled gold thread:

I created a cluster at the top of my page using a few of the acetate pieces, a fussy cut flower and another branch from the cut file. At the end, I decided the upper left side of my photo needed something. So using embroidery floss, I hand stitched a circle:

I just love how this layout came out! It's my favorite!
Here is the case file:

I hope it inspires you in some way and you play along with us!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Darling

Hey there friends!
I have a layout up on the ScraPerfect blog today. I used the September Hip Kit Club kit, featuring Pink Fresh Indigo Hills, the Best Glue Ever along with the No Clog Writing Cap for this layout of Sierra and me:

I fussy cut the wreath out of one of the Pink Fresh papers. I added a small amount of the Best Glue Ever to the wreath and adhered it to my watercolor background. When the glue was dry, I machine stitched around the wreath I added layers of paper, including white tissue paper, and die cuts under my photo:

Here a fussy cut the grey scallop and flowers from patterned papers. I added some die cuts and a few puffy sticker hearts:

I added a few more die cuts  to the left of the photo.
Here is a close up of the wreath:

The Best of Times

Hey there friends!
Do you have SnapChat? My daughter was showing me how fun this app is and how to use it and we were taking pics. The photo on this layout is from that day.
I used black acrylic paint to color the Rings For So Many Things and then backed them with some patterned paper :

I fussy cut "The Best of Times" from a patterned paper stack and popped it up with foam to add dimension.

I added a layer of tissue paper behind my photo. I fussy cut the flowers and leaves from patterned papers. I used a few different Thickers for my title:

To finish off my layout, I added some gold sequins:

I love these chipboard rings, they can be used in so many ways!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
