Grand Ole Opry

 Hi there Scrappy Friends!

Today I am sharing my take on sketch #598 at Sketches In Thyme. I used Creative Embellishments chipboard, rub-ons from my stash and Dear Lizzy stamps for this fun page:

I added watercolors to my background using the smooshing or kissing technique. I heat embossed all the chipboard pieces. I added my photos along the Music Note Border. Then added the Guitar on top of the bottom of it. I added a Heart Music Notes along with a few chipboard hearts:

I used a few of the Dear Lizzy stamps and stamped the flowers and then fussy cut them. For my title, I used old rub-ons from my stash- I think they were from Scrap Works? I also added another heart and Heart Music Note:

To the left of the upper photo, I added in the Makin Music chipboard piece. I tucked in a Music Artist Trading Coin above the first and second photos:

Here is the sketch:

Hope you find some time to play along with us this month.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Life S'more Fun In The Woods

 Hey there Creative Friends!

Today I am sharing a layout I created using a Creative Embellishments chipboard title and lots of trees I made:

I traced a circle on my white cardstock background and added some watercolor. I used a black fine tipped marker to outline the circle. I drew the trees on white textured cardstock with a black fine tipped marker. Then I added watercolor to them. Once they were dry, I fussy cut them:

I placed my photo down and then added the trees to both sides of it. For the Clouds, I added a coat of white acrylic paint. once it was dry, I scribbled on them with a Gelato and then dipped my finger in water to smooth out the Gelato:

I used the same technique on the title, Life S'more Fun In The Woods, as I did on the clouds:

I added a few word phrase stickers and the arrow from Simple Stories and Echo Park:

I added a small cluster of trees here:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hello Lovely

Hello Scrappy Friends and happy Friday!

Back in March of last year, I finally saw Reba in concert! This has been on my bucket list since I was a teenager. I loved Terri Clark as a teenager too and she opened for Reba, so I got to see them both! Terri came back out on stage during Reba's performance and they sang a few songs together. I used Creative Embellishments chipboard, papers from my stash and Thickers (hello Lovely) for my title:

I added a torn strip of papers down the middle of my page and added some machine stitching. I added some watercolor splotches under the photos. I heat embossed the Feel The Music bar and added it to my page. I heat embossed a Disco Ball and tucked it under my right photo:

I heat embossed a Microphone 2 and added that under the left photo. I added some Heart Music Notes colored with mists throughout my page. I fussy cut some flowers from a Recollections paper and added them:

I used Thickers for my title and added the heart Thicker and Best Day Ever Thicker:

This page was so much fun to create and I hope I have inspired you in some way. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

King For A Day- CSI Birthday Layout

 Hello there friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #426 at CSI. I was inspired by the colors and birthday theme. I used Echo Park Magical Birthday and Birthday Boy for this page of Austin:

On my white textured cardstock background, I added texture paste through the Twinkle Star Stencil from Creative Embellishments. I tore strips of patterned papers and layered them on my page. I pleated the red one. Then I added some machine stitching. I heat embossed the Distressed Clock and tucked that under the left photo:

I added some stickers and the flair is from Fancy Pants:

I added some corrugated cardboard from Fancy Pants under my photos. I fussy cut the cake from one of the papers, popped it up with craft foam and added some gold tangled thread under it:

For my sub title, I wrote the word "Happy and #". I fussy cut the word "birthday". I finished the layout off with a Tim Holtz word phrase sticker (black) and a word phrase sticker from Bella Blvd (pink):

Here is a quick look at the case file. You can check out the complete case file on the CSI Facebook page:

Chilly

 Hey there!

Today I am sharing a winter layout I created using Creative Embellishments chipboard. These photos were taken last winter.

I added a strip of torn patterned paper from Echo Park to my white cardstock background and stitched it in place. I added some watercolor. I used a Nuvo Glitter marker to color the Snow ATC Frames and placed them on my photos and fussy cut them. I added a few Simple Snowflakes. I used a Lindy's mist to color them. I added in a few tree stickers from Echo Park:

I used the word 'Chilly" from the Blizzard Word Set for my title. I used white acrylic paint and mist to color it:

I also added in a few Frosted Pink Acrylic Snowflakes:

On top, I added part of the Snowflake Banner. I colored that with acrylic paint and mist as well. I added a Chipboard Snowflake here that I colored with the Nuvo Glitter marker:

I tore strips of white cardstock and added that to the bottom of my page to create a snow scene. I added stitching and watercolor to the drifts. I tucked in a Snowman that I colored with paint and marhers. Isn't he the cutest?

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
