Chuckwagon

Hey there!
I am back to share another layout with you using some fun chippies from Creative Embellishments! These photos of my family were taken back in 2010 when we went to a chuck wagon dinner in Custer, SD:

I saw the Chuckwagon chippie in the store and thought it was perfect for this page. I added white gesso to it. Then I added acrylic paints to the top and Tim Holtz Distress stain to the wagon part of it:

I colored the cowboy boot from the Cowboy Set with the same Distress Stain and colored the spur with a Silver Nuvo Glitter Marker. I used October Afternoon Saparilla papers, diecuts and stickers:

The cowboy hat is from the Cowboy set and also colored with the same stain and added a few dots of the silver Nuvo Glitter Marker.  For my title I used alpha stickers from the Sasparilla collection. It feels so good to use my stash!

I hope I have inspired you to dig out some stash, add some chipboard and make it look new again! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I added strips of one of the papers from the kit and machine stitched those. I added that cute bow and mason jar:

I used my circle punches and added lots of circles to my page. I also added some enamel dots:

Live Simply. Give Love.

 Hello, scrappy friends!

I am back to share my layout on case file #368 at CSI. This is a cold case, meaning us stash on your page. I used bits and pieces from Simple Stories Vintage Bliss for this layout of Sierra:

I added  watercolor to my white textured cardstock background. I added 2 pieces of banners fussy cut from patterned papers from the Simple Stories collection. Then stitched in place. I added some chipbord and lots of fussy cut items. The chipboard frame is from Life In Color collection:

I added strips of patterned paper to the right side of my page and did some machine stitching. On this part of the banner, I added a few fussy cut flowers, chipboard and a brad banner:

I added the chipboard jar & flowers along with a photo:

For my title, I cut a few word phrases from the patterned paper and added a fussy cut flower popped up with craft foam and a sticker pennant:

I love how this page came out and that I used an older collection and made it look new again!

Windmill Home Decor Piece

Hey there friends!
I have a fun home decor piece to share with you today that I created for Creative Embellishments

I added 2 layers of Gesso to the Large Wood Windmill, letting them dry in between. Then added 2 layers of grey acrylic paint. I didn't like the result, so I used white acrylic paint and drybrushed it. Then I added some brown inks to age it. I love the result:

I added 2 layers of Gesso and acrylic paint to the Barn and Cow. Then used white acrylic paint and drybrushed both pieces. I added brown inks on top. I tucked in some diecuts from Simple Stories Vintage Farmhouse Garden behind my chipboard pieces. I added some burlap flowers from Little Birdie:

I added Gesso and inks to the Farmhouse Windmill and then drybrushed white acrylic paint on it:

I used Gesso and white acrylic paint on the Rooster, added some inks and drybrushed the white acrylic paint. I added Gesso and inks to the Home Sweet Home and then drybrushed it with white acrylic paint as well. I added another burlap flower and a heart diecut from Simple Stories:

I added 2 layers of Gesso and 2 layers of blue acrylic paint to the Tractor. Then drybrushed it with the white acrylic paint and added some inks. I added inks to the words "Embrace Time" from the Moments Word Set. These I added the Gesso, inks and paints to as well. I adhered everything using ScraPerfect's Best Glue ever:

After I had everything in place, I added some water to white acrylic paint and added lots of spatters. I also added some ink spatters. I love how this came out! I plan on hanging this in our new bathroom we are putting in our basement this fall. It will have a farmhouse theme. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hello Adventure

 Hey there scrappy friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #366 at CSI.

I added the rub-ons and then added watercolor to my background. I added the diecut butterfly and fussy cut the words from one of the papers:

Thge title, was from the Clique kit. I added some  chipboard hearts and fussy cut some leaves:

I added a few layers of patterned papers behind my photo along with some fussy cut leaves, flowers and a flower diecut:

Thinking of You card

Hey there friends!

Today I am sharing a thinking of you card I created for 88 and Clear using the Kissable Dandelion and Botanical Beauty Stamps:

I used Tangy Gum Sugar Stock as the base for my card and then added layers of Tangy Orange and the Powder Sugar Sugar Stock which I used the Kissable Dandelion stamp on. I stamped it with the Black Taffy Sugar Cube. I also stamped the butterflies from the Botanical Beauty Stamp set with the Black Taffy Sugar Cube. I used the Tangy Gum, Tangy Orange and Sour Pineapple Sugar Cubes to create watercolors and added those to the stamped images:

I added some machine stitching and Dazzling Pat to finish my card off.
I just love the color combo and watercolors on this pretty card!

Coffee

 Hello!

It's the first of the month and that means there's a new challenge up at Creative Embellishments!

I used chipboard and flair from Creative Embellishments along with papers from Pebbles and Simple Stories for this coffee page:

I added watercolor to my background using the pacaging technique. Then I added the green paper from Pebbles and machine stitched. I added the word coffee which I colored using an old October Afternoon mist. I colored the coffee beans with a Lindy's mist. I fussy cut the word "enjoy" from one of the Simple Stories papers and added a Simple Stories tag as well:

I colored the grinder with the Lindy's mist and the cup and saucer with the October Afternoon mist. I fussy cut the coffee from my photo and popped it up on craft foam:

I added some white Sculpted Stickers from Paper House along with a Coffee Flair, tangled thread and fussy cut flowers:

I also added strips of paper (map) to the left side of my layout. Not sure if you noticed... I didn't have the map paper in 12' so I used my 6x6 paper pad and tore strips. I used my circle punch and punched the words, added a fussy cut camera and flowers. I also tucked in a scalloped circle coffee cup:

Here is the mood board this month. The challenge also is to add a map or globe:

I had a blast creating this travel page and hope you will play along with us this month!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
