It's A Beautiful Day!

Hey there and happy Sunday!
Today I am sharing a layout I have up over at Sketches In Thyme.
I used Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss for this fun page of Sierra cooking in the kitchen:

As usual, I added watercolor to my background and then added black mist spatters. I added lots of layers in different pattern papers. I added some fun chipboard pieces. I love the gold!

I love that cut gold pineapple! I added some washi tape and stitching as well as more chipboard pieces:

Valentine Card

Hey there!
I am here today to share a card I created using this month's card sketch at ScraPerfect.
I used Fancy Pants Be Loved and my Cameo to cut the cut file. The cut file was cut quite awhile ago and had been laying on my desk, so I am not sure where I got it from.

I used:
                                                                 The Best Glue Ever
These 2 are my favorite ScraPerfect products! The No Clog Writing Cap is perfect to get glue in the small spaces of the cut files.

Here is the sketch:

There's still time to play along with us. Just create a card using the sketch and link it to the original post over at ScraPerfect.
Thanks and have a great day!

Hello Autumn!

Hey there!
I have a layout and tutorial on how to alter alpha stickers up on the ScraPerfect Blog today. I used two of my favorite products. They are the Best Glue Ever and the No Clog Writing Cap, which I always have on my Best Glue Ever bottle.  Here is the layout I created:

I also used PhotoPlay's Autumn Day collection for this layout.

Here are a few close ups of the layout:

I did a bunch of fussy cutting on this page- the trees and foxes were all fussy cut. I added watercolors to my white cardstock:

I used the Best Glue Ever and the No Clog Writing Cap to attach my title. I used to struggle with adding glue to small spaces like the title, but not any more, now that I found these 2 products!

I used a sketch from Sketch-N-Scrap for this layout:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will drop by the ScraPerfect Blog and check out my tutorial.
 Have a wonderful day!

HB2U!

Hey there scrappy friends!
Today I am sharing a card I created using a sketch at Sketch-N-Scrap along with Crate Paper Bloom. I love the colors in this collection!
I layered a few patterned papers, added some stitching and then added a sticker popped up with foam tape with some tangled thread under it. This HB2U has been sitting on my desk for quite some time and worked perfect on this card. Finally, I added a fussy cut butterfly:

CHA: Let Freedom Ring

Hello!
I am excited as I was asked by Paper House Productions to create some projects for CHA!
Today I am sharing the 2 layouts I created using the new Let Freedom Ring collection that was revealed at CHA.
This first layout features a photo of Sierra that was taken in front of the Liberty Bell a few years ago. It was the perfect photo to use with this fun new collection:

This is a close up of the border on the right side of the page. There's that clear acetate with the gold stars. Have I said how much I love it?!

I added some fussy cut circles for embellies and to place my journaling on. I also added lots of stickers:

I added layers of patterned papers behind my photos and added some machine stitching:

For my second layout, I used these white stars that I had cut  a while ago that were sitting on my desk. I traced them onto the clear acetate gold star sheet and hand cut them. The back side of the gold star acetate sheet, the stars are silver, so I decided to use that side. I placed them on top of the white cardstock stars. Love how it looks:

I fussy cut the "USA" from one of the papers and added some stickers. I created a border on the bottom of the page using fussy cut items:

I added my photos, 4th of July last year and also added some stickers, some popped up with foam tape:

I used the alphas that came on the sticker sheet and stitched them in place to add some texture:

Another close up of the fun stickers that come with this collection:

I love the colors in this collection! They are perfect for 4th of July pages!
Stay tuned tomorrow, I will be sharing my last CHA project using this fun collection!

CHA Projects

Hello Scrappy Friends!
I am excited as I was asked by Paper House Productions to create some projects for CHA! The first collection I worked with is Let Freedom Ring and they featured a few of my projects on their blog yesterday. Today, I would like to share them with you.
The first project I created was this fun banner:

I hand cut the pennant shapes from white cardstock, distressed the edges and then added another pennant on top using papers from the Let Freedom Ring collection:

I stitched the two layers together and added doilies from my stash:

I added layers of embellies and fussy cut lots from the papers gluing it in place using the Best Glue Ever:

I love that clear acetate with the gold stars on it! I created some accordion fold medallions on a few of the pennants and added stickers on top:

I finished off the banner with eyelets and twine from my stash to connect the 4 pieces an then added bits of ribbon from my stash as well. I love how this turned out!

The second project I created was this fun American Flag Cutlery Pouch:

This was very easy to make. I used a cut file from the Silhouette store and cut it using my Cameo. I glued it together using The Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect. Finally, I added twine, plastic cutlery and a napkin. It would be fun to create more of these for a 4th of July picnic!

Tomorrow, I will share a few layouts I created with this collectio. Hope you will stop back and check them out!

80th Birthday Party

Hello and happy Thursday!
We celebrated my Mom's 80th birthday last August with a barbeque in her backyard. I am finally getting around to scrapping a few photos from it.
I used the January 15th sketch at Stuck?! along with my stash- mostly JilliBean Soup with a few other things thrown in, including some October Afternoon. I used ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever.

As usual, I used white cardstock and created a background using watercolor. I just love the look of it!
I used 2 different alphas, fussy cut numbers and rub-ons for my title. I also added in some stickers:

I fussy cut the brown scalloped border from one of the papers and also used bits and pieces of papers for the rest of the layers. I added some stitching as well:

This rub-on has been in my stash forever and it felt good to finally use it!

Here is Laura's fun sketch:

BRRR!

Hello!
Today i am sharing a layout I created for the challenges at Grand Diva's Creative Corner and Rochelle's January Inspiration Challenge
I used a Hip Kit Club kit for this fun winter page. When I saw the "hot cocoa & fuzzy socks" card, I instantly thought of a few photos I had taken of Sierra and some friends about a year ago. They were drinking hot cocoa and all had fun socks on and they asked me to take a pic of them. I knew it would be perfect! The colors in the kit were also perfect!

I added 3 doilies for the circles in the sketch.

I used the BRRR as my title. I used a branding strip (black and white stripes) as a border:

I added some pink tangled thread under a few of my diecuts. I also added enamel dots to the diecut snowflakes:

I fussy cut that cute mason jar from one of the papers and added diecuts from the ephemera package that came in the kit:

Here is the sketch:

and the photo to take inspiration from: (I was inspired by the colors)

Thanks for dropping by and enjoy your day!

XOXO

Hello and happy Tuesday!
Today I am sharing a layout I created using a few challenges:
* a sketch challenge at Scrap Our Stash
*Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge- use the color grey, which I used on my pennant.
* and Stash busters round 2 at Paper Issues
I used some old Amy Tan and came up with this layout of my daughter and I:

I added watercolor to my background, of coarse. I hand cut the pennant from grey patterned paper. I also fussy cut the pink border and hand cut the teal tag. I added an October Afternoon sticker.

I added some stitching, a few fussy cut arrows and some gold enamel hearts:

I fussy cut the "XOXO" and the "Remember This Forever" from patterned papers. I also added a few word phrase stickers:

Here is the sketch:

and the twist was to use items from your stash using the letters of goals.
G- gold hearts and grey
O- October Afternoon "My Girl" diecut
A- arrows and Amy Tan
L- letters- XOXO
S- stickers
