There It Goes

Hey there!
It's my day up on the Sketches In Thyme blog sharing a layout I created with a sketch by Bev.
I used Carta Bella and Echo Park stash for this sad layout. This was Austin's first car...A Sebring convertible. (We got a good deal on it, otherwise he would have never got it, lol!) In October of 2016, On his way to school, he was hit by an uninsured motorist. He was ok, just shaken up, but his car was totaled. We finally had the junkyard come and get it last summer. It was a sad day...He loved that car!

I added some layers and stitching along with some stickers, some popped up with foam to add dimension:

I used Echo Park alphas and stitched through it for my title. I added a fussy cut ticket and another arrow sticker:

Here is the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I fussy cut the flowers from a paper pad I think it came from Michaels. Check out those gorgeous gold leaves!

I used watercolors for my background and then added Heidi Swapp mist spatters:

I added a piece of my favorite washi tape along with a journaling block, stitching and 3D stickers from Paper House:

Mother Nature

Hey there scrapping friends!
I am sharing a layout I created for the mid month reveal at Off The Rails.
I used Simple Stories Take a Hike for this mother nature page:

We had a storm come through a few years ago and lost 3 trees. Well actually it was 3 1/2. This is a pic of one of the big pines we lost. I fussy the word "Nature" from one of the papers. I also fussy cut the trees. I added some alpha stickers as well as a few other stickers:

These trees were fussy cut from papers as well:

I added a few more stickershere. My background was created using watercolors.

Here is the mood board and the challenge is to incorporate mother nature:

I love how this layout came out and I loved that I used an older line. It feels so good!

CI Layout Sketch

Hey there!
It's Monday, that means a new card and layout sketch are up at Creative Inspiration.
I played along with the layout sketch. I used mostly Shimelle Little By Little, except the teal paper is Amy Tan On A Whim, and came up with this page:

I used a cut file I had cut a long time ago, so I am not sure where it came from. I added some stitching and backed the open parts with different patterned papers. I added some stickers/ diecuts popped up with foam:

I added some tissue paper under my photo along with a diecut flowers. Finally, I added a tag with my handwritten journaling:

Here is the sketch:

I hope you play along and share your take on the sketch with us!
