All Spiffed Up

Happy Sunday!
I have been playing along with Sketch-N-Scrap's 3 year birthday bash and am doing a few posts today to share some layouts I created using their challenges.
My first layout I am sharing was done for the May 12th challenge, which was to use a sketch and use one bow, two flowers and three patterned papers.
I used three different patterned papers from My Minds Eye Kate & Co along with Robin's Nest Blue Alphas and some Thickers:

Hello!
I made a few cards this last weekend for a few challenges at Sketch-N-Scrap and wanted to share them.
They both were sketches with a twist challenges and posted by Susan.
The first one I used JilliBean Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup and the twist was to use 3 flowers. Here is what I came up with:

For my second card, I used this sketch:

along with Cakewalk by October Afternoon. Yes, I still have this in my stash, it was my fav! The twist was to make a birthday card and have 3 of something on it. I added 3 stars:

Twistback Thursday

Hey there!
Over the weekend I had some free scrappy time and played along with a sketch over at Sketch-N-Scrap. They are celebrating their 3rd birthday with a new challenge every day.

I used some photos of Austin playing baseball. These photos were taken by Tim Habeck. He goes to almost every game and takes pics. I love it so I don't have to lug my big camera with me.

I used a lot of old stash on this layout:
Papers: SCrappin' Sports & More (green), Piggy Tales (orange),  and Little Yellow Bicycle (black).
SN@P "Today was great" sticker
Mambi- glove, 2 baseballs, "Good catch" and "All Star"
Scrappin' Sports & More baseball and 9th grade sticker.
Heidi Swapp stencil
Watercolor and splats

Here is my page:

Here is the Throwback Thursday sketch:

The twist with this sketch was to use photos taken outside.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Enjoy Today!

Hey there scrappy friends!
Monday was my day to share a layout I created  using Robin's Nest awesome products.
Last year at this time my youngest sister was going thru chemo for breast cancer. I love the pinks in this new line from Robin's Nest- perfect for my Breast Cancer layouts.
I started out using the Men's Plaid/Compass Cardstock for my background. I then cut Rosy Chevron Cardstock, inked and distressed it and placed on top. I tore and inked a piece of Red Brick Cardstock and added that on top. I tore a few spots and rolled them up. I added a few pieces of the opposite side of the Rosy Chevron paper to these spots and to the upper left hand corner and lower right hand corner. Then I added lots of stitching:

Here you can see the folded back Red Brick Cardstock with the Rosy Chevron under it:

Here you can see the fun tag I fussy cut from the Lodge Cutouts Cardstock and some scattered Dew Drops from the Rosy Mini Diecut Shapes

I fussy cut the "Together" sign from Wedding Cutouts Cardstock and popped it up with foam tape:

This card (Enjoy Today) from the Rosy Cards was perfect for my title because that is what we did that day. I also added Rosy Ribbon in the shape of the Breast Cancer ribbon:

I hope I have inspired you some way with my post today.
Until next time- happy scrapping!

#Selfie

Woohoo! It's Friday!
I am so looking forward to a 3 day weekend! How about you?
I am sharing a layout today that I created using a sketch at Scrap Our Stash. I used Bella Blvd. Sunshine & Happiness for this layout of the kids and I:

I used a stamp to create the black background circles. I used Gelatos and a stencil to create the colored circles. I also added some watercolor and drops of mist.

For my larger handmade flower, O used a scalloped circle punch and then cut towards the center of every 3rd scallop. I topped it off with a sticker popped up with foam tape. The smaller red flowers were made twisting ribbon.

Just a few more close ups:

Here is the fun sketch:

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Hey Dude!

Happy Monday Peeps!
Cards In Envy has a new challenge up today:

We are making cards for the men in our lives with the challenge theme of "Hey Dude!" We are looking for A2 (4.25" x 5.5") cards  that are masculine and perfect to send to a guy.  Remember, your card must also be flat enough to fit in an envy for mailing and as always, no square cards.

I used Echo Park That's My Boy and came up with this Fathers Day card:

I hoep you will check out what the rest of the design team did with this challenge and play along.
Thanks for stopping by!
