The Best Cleaner Ever

Hey scrappy friends!
I am back today to share a simple and easy way to clean sticky stuff off your scissors. I use my scissors for cutting adhesive backed foam. Therefore, the sticky backing builds up on my scissors. So every once in awhile I need to clean them. I found that The Best Cleaner Ever works really well for this!
Here's how they looked prior to cleaning:

All I did was spray some of The Best Cleaner Ever on them and let them sit for about 5 minutes. After they have sat, take a paper towel and wipe clean. EASY PEASY!

Now I have a brand new looking pair of scissors again:

So next time you have a sticky pair of scissors, try The Best Cleaner Ever!

Family

Hey there Scrappy Friends!
I am up on the Sketches In Thyme blog today sharing a layout using sketch #342.
I used Echo park Our Family for this layout of my Mom, a few siblings and myself:

I added watercolor to my background. I cut triangles from some of the patterned papers and stitched them together to create my arrow. I added some chipboard and diecuts from the collection:

This arrow has been sitting on my desk for some time. I had cut it on my Cameo, I am not sure whos cut file it is. I added some patterned papers and a doily under my photo. I added a few flower brads from my stash:

Here is the sketch:

We would love to see your take on this sketch! Play along and add it to the side bar on the SIT blog.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

CI Mini Crop

Hey there!
Creative Inspiration's September Mini Crop is going on right now!
We have some fun challenges and a prize up for grabs!
Here is a layout I created to go with my fun challenge- use at least 2 numbers on your project.
I used old Bazzill chipboard numbers along with other items from my stash.
I glued the numbers in a circle and then added a few mists  and watercolors on them:

I added a few layers of patterned paper under my photo.
I added a sticker and a label along with a fussy cut pencil and a paintbrush diecut:

I added a few strips of paper sewn together and then popped the trophy diecut up using foam:

For my title I used old alphas as well. It's fun digging through my stash and using these older supplies!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

OTR- Taco John's

Hey friends,
I am back today to share my layout for the DT reveal today at Off The Rails.
I used Amy Tan On A Whim for this page of Austin:

I added a piece of patterned paper behind my photo. I add some old BG alphas for my title and stitched through it. I placed my journaling on a dicut circle and then added foam to the diecut banner and placed on top. The drink cup is a sticker that I placed on white cardstock and then fussy cut:

I added some diecuts to this cluster on the bottom right of the photo, popping the heart up with foam and adding the "XO" sticker:

I fussy cut the "Oh Yeah" and "Seriously the Best" from a paper and a diecut:

Here's the mood board:

I love how this layout came out!
Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Birthday Boy

Hello!
There is a new case file up over at CSI!
I used Fancy Pants Joy Parade for this layout of Bender:

I used lots of watercolor on my background and then used a Creative Embellishments stamp and stamped in black ink. I added a few puffy sticker hearts and a corkboard piece to a journaling card from this collection:

I added a few triangle puffy stickers, another cork board sticker and a few more puffy heart stickers to this corner of my photo:

I had some white cardstock butterflies sitting on my desk from a previous layout and used watercolors to color them. I added several layers of patterned paper under my photo. I also added some machine stitching:

For my title I used puffy alphas from the Joy Parade collection. I love these!
Here is the case file:

I was inspired by the colors. I added dots, other animal, insects and the triangles for evidence. I chose to document about our dog, who is is doggie heaven, for my testimony.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Twine Bottle

Hey there friends!
I am back to share a fun project using The Best Glue Ever.
Over the years, I saved a few bottles that Prima flowers used to come in. I decided to use some of my Divine Twine and wrap one of the bottles.

I grabbed The Best Glue Ever and applied it to the bottle using a paint brush:

I started wrapping it with the twine only adding glue to about an inch at a time:

I decided to use two different twines:

I continued wrapping until I did the entire bottle. I added another piece of twine to tie a bow:

I plan on putting a few fake flowers in it and placing on the table in my screened in porch.
Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

It's A Lemonade Kind of Day

Hello!
Happy Labor Day & happy Monday!
It's the first one of the month, that means a new card challenge is up at Cards In Envy- The fruits of your labor. The challenge is to create a card with a fruit on it.
I used Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss for this card:

The white lemonade circle is a clear acetate that I backed with white cardstock. Because of this, I had a hard time getting a decent photo. This one was the best I could do.

Hope you will join us and play along!

Organized Choas

Hey there!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
It's the first of the month, that means a new case file is up on the CSI blog!
I used Echo Park Creative Agenda for this layout about work:

I stitched a messy circle with black thread and then added a bunch of stickers from the collection. I used a card from the collection, "Every day I'm hustling", as my subtitle. I really have to hustle at work, but I love it! It makes time go so fast!

I added quite a few layers under the photo of my desk and then added a few more stickers, some popped up with foam to give some dimension:

Here is the case file:

I was inspired by the desk theme and the colors.
Stop on over to the CSI blog to see what the rest of the DT did and to play along. There are always awesome prizes to be won!
