Hello and happy New Years Eve! Any fun plans for the night?
It's my day to post the word up Wednesday challenge at My Scraps & More and I just wanted to share my layout here as well.
I used AC Shimelle and some old Crate Blackboard along with a Crate Paper Notes & Things frame and an LGS sketch:

Are You Ready For Some Football?

Good morning and happy Monday!
I am so happy the Packers won their game yesterday! Division champs! YAY!
With the big game yesterday, I was inspired to do a football page of Austin. I have so many pics to scrap.
I used a Sketchabilites sketch (#129), my Cameo and decided to get messy!

Here is my layout:

Some close ups:

I cut the helmet with my Cameo and added a wood veneer star:

I used the Kreaxions Circle Cutter with lead to create my circles and then used a black Sharpie to outline them. I also added a Polaroid frame and a chipboard star:

I cut the Football Frame with my Cameo and added a few stickers from my stash along with a football brad:

I used a Tim Holtz stencil along with light modeling paste to create the diamonds and then added a few colors of mists and outlined a few of the diamonds with a black Sharpie:

Sunday Funday!

Hey there scrappy friends!
What a fun day!
I started my day off sleeping in a bit (til 5:00, that's pretty good for me lately, lol!), surfed the internet and then started a few pages. My niece was in town for Christmas, so I went to visit her, her hubby and my new great niece, Rella. She is so, so sweet!
Then it was back home to hang with Greg and Sierra before they headed to the Badger basketball game. I dropped Austin off at a movie and came back home for more scrappy time. After I picked him up, we went to Culvers for dinner. Now I am back doing some bloggie posts.

Any who, just wanted to share a layout I created using My Mind's Eye December sketch. The photo was taken at the end of October when we had a surprise 40th birthday party for my sister, Connie, who had finished up chemo in August for breast cancer. Doesn't she look great?!

I use mostly Kate & Co on this page with a few embellies from other lines:

Here are a few close ups:

I used my new Cameo for the black circles. I have had that overlay in my stash for quite some time waiting for that special layout. I am so glad I saved it- it matched our Connie Strong t-shirts perfectly!

                                                                 Here is the sketch:

Get Inspired!

Hey scrappy friends!
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
I have been so busy I haven't put a blog post up in over a week! Time to change that:)
Just wanted to share 3 of my layouts I had published in Let's Get Sketchy "Get Inspired" Magazine. I actually had 4 layouts and a card, so exciting!

My first layout was for the holiday section. I used American Crafts Peppermint collection, a Stuck?! Sketch and miscellaneous twine and button:

A few close ups:

My second layout was created for the nontraditional color Christmas layout. I used an older line of Echo Park along with a Simple Stories sticker and miscellaneous rub-ons for this older picture of Austin:

A few close ups:

For my last layout, I took the winter theme and used a photo of Sierra and Austin when they were younger along with Fancy Pants papers, Hobby Lobby snowflakes, a Bo Bunny sticker, Pink Paislee diecuts and Queen & Co bling:

                                                                   Some close ups:

Easel

Hey there! Happy Wednesday!
I am up on the My Scraps & More Blog today sharing a project I made  using the Fancy Pants Corrugated Cardboard and the Merry Little Christmas Embellishment Kit.
I took a chalkboard easel that a bought some time ago at Michaels, added some corrugated cardboard and topped it off with some embellies from the kit:

December Inspiration Elevator: My Challenge

Our main purpose here at IE is to challenge ourselves, each other and YOU to take the creative process to the next level;  to inspire growth and change in our scrapbooking beyond our usual boundaries.
You can see all of Inspiration Elevator's previous challenges on Facebook .

This month's challenge was issued by me.  Here is the challenge I gave this creative team:

" Scrap A Christmas Past.
We all have them- one Christmas that sticks out more in our minds than others. Maybe it was when you were a child or maybe it was more recent. Maybe it was a gift you received that makes it memorable. Maybe a special visitor? Create a page, with or without photos and tell us the story behind that Christmas.."

We encourage you to check out each designer's creation this month: here's a complete list of this month's participating designers!

Katherine Sutton

When I issued this challenge, I had a few Christmas' that stuck out in my mind. The first was when the kids were 2 and 3, I loved the look of delight on their faces that Christmas morning as they realized Santa had come and left them so many presents.
The second was the one I choose to scrap about- being snowed in one Christmas Eve. I was a junior in high school, some of my older brothers and sisters were already on their own, just us younger ones at home. It was so fun to have all my siblings and their spouses back in one house and sleeping under the same roof again!
I didn't have a photo of that special Christmas, so I decided to use lots of mixed media items and do my first photoless page.
For my background I used KI Memories diecut snowflake paper and added 3 different colors of mist. I used Echo Park papers, letters (Christmas Eve), and a journaling card. I also used Fancy Pants corrugated paper and added Modge Podge with glitter added in it. I took an old chipboard window frame I have had in my stash for quite awhile and added light modeling paste and glitter to it to resemble snow drifts.
Here is my page:

Here are some close ups:

I used lots of old embellies from my stash.

A Gossomer Blue wood veneer arrow.
For my title I added Stickles to the top of my letters to resemble snow as well:

I used some old Fancy Pants chipboard stars, painted them yellow and added glitter on top:

Christmas Carols

Hello!
Over on the Cards In Envy Blog is a fun challenge to play along with. All you have to do is create an A2 card using a Christmas Carol.
I used the song We Wish You a Merry Christmas along with Carta Bella Christmas Day and came up with this card:

Hope you find some scrappy time during this busy season and play along with us!
