Shine

Hey there friends!
I have a tutorial up on the ScraPerfect blog today on how to add foil to your layout. I used Dear Lizzy Serendipity for this graduation page.
Here is the layout I created:

I used a negative cut file that was laying on my desk and backed it with patterned paper and then stitched around it. I wanted to add some gold foil to the sun rays so I added a thin line of ScraPerfect Glue with the No Clog Writing Cap attached:

Once the glue was clear, it's white when you apply it, it is tacky and can place the Transfer Foil on top. Foil side up. Using my finger, I rubbed the foil where the glue was:

This is the result:

Gorgeous! I love the touch of sparkle the foil adds!

I added craft foam behind my photo to give my layout some dimension. The Best Glue Ever works perfect for adhering the foam to my layout:

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!

Be Fearless

Hello! Lisa back to share a fun and colorful layout with you using some Creative Embellishments amazing chipboard. I also used the March Hip Kit Club kit. I used papers from Maggie Holmes Sunny day.
To create my background, I added white Gesso to the middle of my white cardstock. Once it was dry. I sprayed it with water and then added some mists using plastic packaging to move it around. I added the fussy cut butterflies. Finally, I splattered it with a navy mist

I used a Gold Glitter Nuvo Marker to color the Do Things Quote. I placed the top part of it on the white space in my photo:

I fussy cut the pink flowers and leaves and added a Fern Foilage 3, also colored with the Nuvo marker, in the cluster on the upper right. I used a diecut for my subtitle:

I created another cluster using the same items on the lower left:

I love how this layout came out!

I used the alphas from the collection and stitched through them as well. I fussy cut the banner from one of the papers and popped it up with craft foam. I added some fussy cut clouds along with some sticker ones:

I fussy cut the red flower and boat. I used a border punch to create the waves. I used lots of stickers here and added my journaling:

Happy 4th of July!

Hey friends!
Here in The USA, we are celebrating Independence Day, so I created a 4th of July layout using some of the fabulous chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments along with the PhotoPlay Live Free collection.
I added a torn strip of patterned paper to my white cardstock background that I spattered mists on. I hand stitched a star using embroidery floss:

For my title, I used the words 4th of July from the Independence Day Word Set. I added white Gesso and some mists:

I used the Patriotic Stars and added Gesso and mists to those as well:

The big firework under the Patriotic Star, is a sticker. The small one, I fussy cut from a patterned paper. I also fussy cut the rockets and popped them up on foam:

This was such a fun layout to create and I love how it came out! Hope you have a safe and happy 4th!

Door County

Hey everyone!
I am sharing a layout created for the July challenge at Creative Embellishments.

I backed the Paper Issues wave cut file with patterned papers using the Best Glue Ever from ScraPerfect. Then I stitched through the waves. Finally, I used the Twinkle Stamp on my background.

I added a few clouds from the Rainy Days wood veneer pack. I colored the clouds with white Gesso and then added some mist.  I colored a Nautical Life Preserver Ring with Gesso and mists. I created a nest with thread and placed a flair from the Nautical Set 1 on top:

I used the Nautical Anchor and another flair from the Nautical Set 1. I colored the chipboard with Gesso and then added a few mists to it. I created another nest of thread and placed the flair on top:
