Family Celebration

Lisa back to share a layout with you. We had a nephew that got married last summer and took a family pic of everyone who was able to make it. I used that photo along with some beautiful CE embellishments and the April 2021 Hip Kit Club kit for this family oriented page:

I colored the Family Celebration chipboard piece with a Nuvo Glitter Marker and used that as my title:

I added watercolor to my white textured cardstock and then used black ink and the Twinkle Stamp. I fussy cut a few hot air ballons and added a White Cloud:

I colored the "Love" Banner with Nuvo Glitter Marker and added it under my photo along with a chipboard bow from the kit:

I tucked in a few pieces of a branch from the Mini Berry Set along with a few chipboard pieces and some word stickers from Pretty Little Studio:

I love how this page came together! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Take The Scenic Route

 Hi scrappy peeps!

Today, I am sharing my very first post for the Bramble Fox Challenge Team! I am excited to share my take on Michelle's March Tic, Tac, Toe challenge. I am on a mission this year to use my stash since I have so much of it! I used Simple Stories Vintage Bliss for this page of my daughter and I:

I fell in love with
Fox Cut #28 when I saw it in the store and wanted to use it on my first layout. I used one of the larger bursts behind my photo and added the smaller ones on the edges. I used a pencil to trace the lines and then hand stitched them. I added in a few of the teal Valentine Hearts:

I also knew I wanted to use the "Take The Scenic Route" perspextive from the
Go Anywhere set for my title on this page. It is absolutely gorgeous! Check it out:

Have you seen the
Paper Snips #001? These are fun ways to add details to your work, I love them! I added the pink banner to the lower right of my photo:

Here is Michelle's Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

I used the same silver marker on the bowl and whisk of the mixer and then used the same red embossing powder on the body of the Mixer. I used the same brown embossing powder on the Spatula. I did the same treatment to the tools at the bottom of my page:

 Hey there friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #383  at CSI. This photo of Austin going down a slide while we were camping many years ago has been sitting on my desk forever. I finally scrapped it! I used mostly stash for this page:

I added a journaling sticker from Lily B Designs, the "happy" sticker from Simple Stories and a few fussy cut circles. I added the paranthesis sticker from BoBunny along with a thumbs up sticker from Simple Stories here. I used Simple Stories and October Afternoon alphas for my title:

This Place

Hey Scrappy Friends!

Have you seen the March case files at CSI yet? I am sharing my take on case file #382 using lots of bits and pieces from my stash:

I was inspired by the colors and kites in the case file. I took patterned paper scraps from Authentique, Pink Paislee and Fancy Pants and created my own kites. I added machine stitching to them, left thread tails and added an Amy Tan bow to a few. I used a title from Crate Paper Oasis:

I hand cut my sun, added some machine stitching and added the sun diecut from Dear Lizzie Star Gazer. I also added the Super SaturYay diecut and word phrase stickers from Dear Lizzie. I fussy cut the pinwheels from an Echo Park paper and added a piece of bling to each one:

I fussy cut the bikes from a Dear Lizzie paper, I think. I added some bling and some fussy cut clouds that I hand stitched:

This was such a fun layout to create and I love how it came out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

When Life...

Hey there scrappy friends!
I am back to share another winter layout with you using lots of winter embellishments from Creative Embellishments along with Echo Park's Winter Magic collection.

Last winter my grown kids and I were shoveling the driveway and decided when we were done, to make a snowman. It's been a few years since we've made one- we had so much fun playing in the snow! It was dark and my pics didn't turn out very well, but I wanted to documant this fun time, so I used them:

I used the Snowflake Stencil along with a few Distress Oxide inks to add some color to my white cardstock background. I added a few different torn pieces of patterned paper to mimic snow and machine stitched them. I wanted to use the word "Snowman" from the Snow Word Set as my title. I added white Gesso and acrylic paint to it. Once it was dry, I added some Liquitex Glass Beads to it. One of the patterned papers had the perfect title, so I fussy cut the rest of my title from it. I added a Distressed Snowflake Flair:

I fussy cut some trees and added them tabove my snow. I used white Gesso and acrylic paints to color the Snowman. Then added some of the glass beads to the bottom:

I added white Gesso and the glass beads to the Icicle piece as well. I fussy cut the multicolored blue snowflake from one of the papers and popped it up with foam. I added a few Frosted Blue Acrylic Snowflake, these are so pretty!

Here is a close up of the fussy cut trees:

Here is a close up of the background work using the Snowflake Stencil:
