The Boys

Hey there everyone!
It's my day up on the Sketches In Thyme Blog to share a layout using the sketch.
I used  Cocoa Vanilla and Echo Park for this photo of Austin and some of his friends on the football team before the Homecoming parade last year.

I added some stitching and a cluster of embellies to the bottom left along with my title:

I love these Scrabble looking wood veneer letters and combined them with his jersey number:

I fussy cut this fun banner and added some arrows, wood veneer stars and black mist spatters:

Here is another cluster of yummy embellies:

Here is the sketch if you would like to play along:

September 15th Stuck?! Sketch

Hey there! Hope you are having a fantastic weekend so far!
One of my sisters and I are visiting my daughter at college. I am so excited to see her, it's been 3 weeks!
Any who, I played along with the September 15th sketch at Stuck?! They are celebrating their birthday this month, go check it out!
I used a variety of papers (yes, I am still working on my stash!):
Green is from Fancy Pants Atwell.
Orange is from Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss and
The teal is from Dear Lizzie Happy Place.

I added watercolor to my background using the packaging technique> I used a variety of embellies on this page as well.
The "Clever" camera is from Shimelle.
The "Always fabulous is Pink Paislee.
The black  and white stickers are Simple Stories.

I used a Silhouette cut file and used my Cameo to cut it:

I saved a few of the negative pieces from the cut file and created 3 flowers with them. Again, more Pink Paislee, Simple Stories and Shimelle embellies:

These Thickers have been in my stash for quite some time, so I stitched over them to hold them in place.

Here is Laura's fun sketch:

Wine Tasting

Hello!
It's my day up on the Paper House Blog today. I am sharing a layout I created using some of my favorite goodies of theirs.
Back in 2010, Greg and I packed up the kids and took a trip out to California. One of our day trips was a trip to Napa Valley. Until now, I hadn't scrapped these photos. The new SnapShots Wine Country were perfect to scrap them!

  WineWine Tasting Layout Supplies:
I decided to use a grid on my layout so that I could include all of my favorite new goodies. I added a bit of red watercolor to mimic red wine to my background. I added  a few strips of green and red patterned papers from a few different paper pads on top and bottom of my page and stitched in place. I glued the grape Shaker Card right on my background paper and added the "Veni Vidi Vino I came. I saw I wined." to the right of the shaker card. I added the "Sweet" Sculpted Sticker to the top of the card.

These are 2 of the 3 photos I added to my layout. On the first one, I adhered it right on the background paper and added the "Wine tasting" SnapShot Sticker and then added the "Love" Sculpted Sticker above it. On the second photo, which I popped up with foam tape,  I added the "Cheers" SnapShot Sticker to the upper left corner.

  Wine close up 3

For this part of my grid, I used the green frame and placed the wine glass/bottle overlay on top of it. These are both in the Wine Country Mixed Card Pack. This pack has so many frames and overlays to choose from! I added the "Savor" Sculpted Sticker and also the "Wine Country" SnapShot Sticker. I tucked in a bit of wine colored tangled thread under the 2nd photo.

Here is a closer look at the "Vino" Card. I also added another of the SnapShot Stickers to the lower right side along with some more tangled thread.

Have you seen all the new items in the STORE?If not you need to go check them out!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!

A Fun Technique!

Hey Scrappy Friends!
I am up on the Off The Rails Blog today sharing a fun way to make watercolor embellishments for a layout, card or any project.

I used EchO Park- The Story Of Our Family (wood grain paper) along with Elle's Studio Thankful and Sycamore Lane for this layout:

I added some buttons and mist between the butterflies in the rainbow colors:

I fussy cut my title, added a butterfly colored with Gelatos, some cork embellies and some enamel shapes:

I added a few banners and a fussy cut sub-title:

Here is a closer look at the butterflies:

You can check out my tutorial over on the Off The Rails Blog.

Family

Hello and happy Wednesday!
Today I am sharing a layout I created using Scrap Our Stash Sketch +3 challenge along with the September 14 stash challenge at Creative Inspiration.. I used Crate Paper Close Knit along with stash for this family page.

I had so much of this collection left! It wasn't one of my favs so I stuck it in a drawer and now am using it. I added lots of chipboard and some enamel dots and a few rhinestones

I added a Recollections frame with a date stamped on top. The black lined clear acetate is from my stash and so is the metal framed heart. The word "together" is from a sticker sheet of Authentique:

I added a fussy cut label with my journaling:

Here is the Scrap Our Stash challenge:

I used Authentique, Buttons and Crate Paper

Along with the stash challenge at Creative Inspiration, the challenge was to use items that begin with the letters from your home town. My home town is:
A- Acrylic paint- teal
U- upside down hearts in banner
B- buttons
U- upside down frame I accendentally stamped my first date upside down, so I guess that would work too, LOL!
R- Rhinestones
N- Neutral background
D- Date stamp
A- Acrylic paint- yellow
L- Label
E- Enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by and stay scrappy my friends!

Football

Hey there!
I am sharing a layout I created using sketch #112 over at Sketch-n-Scrap.
I used a bunch of stuff from my stash. The papers are Reminisce, Little Yellow Bicycle and Scrappin' Sports & More.

I fussy cut the word "football" from one of the Scrappin' Sports & More papers. I added the "Varsity" word from an old set of football stickers I had. I also added a JilliBean journal spot:

The stars and arrow are from Little Yellow Bicycle and the teamwork sticker is from JilliBean Soup along with the mini alphas:

The poem in the middle has probably been in my stash as long as I have been scrapping, 19 years! I finally found a home for it! The helmet is from Little Yellow Bicycle:

Here is the sketch:

Photo Inspiration

Hello scrappy friends!
Today I am sharing a layout that I created for the challenge I posted this morning at Creative Inspiration.

I used the Picture Perfect cut file from The Cut Shoppe and cut it out on white cardstock. Then I backed the frames with papers from Simple Stories. Then I just added some embellies.
This wood key has been in my stash for at least a few years. I just added a fussy cut flower to it:

I love this bike and popped it up with foam tape to give some dimension:

I fussy cut the word "hello" from patterned paper:

I added the word "Grateful" from a paper and just added a fussy cut flower to it:

This is a 4x6 card that I fussy cut part of the flowers that overlapped the photo and placed my photo under that part:

My challenge is to use this photo as inspiration for a project:

I was inspired by all the frames, the words grateful & hello and also the key.
I would love if you played along with us!
