Sweet Spring

 Hello There!

Today I am sharing my take on sketch #562 by Jenessa Franco at Sketches In Thyme.  I used a photo of myself at the Andy Griffith Museum in Mount Airy, NC while we were on vacation last year. I used the March 2020 Hip Kit for this page:

I added a strip of Heidi Swapp patterned paper to the left side of my white cardstock background. Then I added some watercolor. I fussy cut that beautiful wreath from a Paige Evans paper. I tucked in the "sunshine ahead" strip that I fussy cut from another of Paige's papers:

I fussy cut the rainbow from a Heidi Swapp paper. I used Thickers for my title, I love the font and colors!. I fussy cut another word strip  and tucked it under my title. I fussy cut the small flower and bird from a Jenn Hatfield paper:

I added some Prima crystals and a few Paige Evans Bloom Street butterflies:

I hand cut a tag and added that in the top right corner of my layout:

Here's the fun sketch by Jenessa:

I hope you find some time to play along with us!

Easter Egg Hunt

 Hello!

Today I am sharing my layout that I created for CSI case file #385 using lots of stash:

I used the sun ray stencil from Heidi Swapp along with Distress Oxide Inks and October Afternoon mist splatters on my background. I used papers from Echo Park and Bella Blvd to layer around and under my photo. I used acrylic paints and mists to color the Easter Basket and Eggs from Creative Embellishments. I fussy cut the banner and bunny from the papers. the 2012 sticker is from JilliBean Soup. On the top of my photo, I added the "today" label from Pink Paislee

I believe the journal card is from JilliBean. I fussy cut the scalloped border, trees and butterflies from Echo Park papers. I added some Tim Holtz word phrase sticker:

For my title, I used these alphas: Hip Kit Club (pink), Cocoa vanilla (blue) and Autentique (yellow). I placed a word phrase sticker from JilliBean under the title. I used a JilliBean label under the "egg hunt" letters:

I love that I used all stash on this page and it still looks current!

Lunch Lady

Hey there friends!
I am back to share another layout with you that I created for Creative Embellishments
I recently retired as the food service director (aka lunch lady) at the local school. This is the wonderful group of ladies I worked with. This layout is dedicated to them and all the hard work they did to feed the kids:

I tore papers from Heidi Swapp and Vicki Boutin and machine stitched them down the left side of my page. I added Vicki Boutin diecuts around my photo. I colored the Lunch Lady title piece with Heidi Swapp Color Shine:

I colored a Mini Pocket Watch with a black Sharpie and tucked that in the lower right corner of the photo. I added 3 banner diecuts from Vicki Boutin and machine stitched 2 of them and the other I popped up with foam to add some dimension:

This was such a fun layout to create and I love how it came out! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Go. Seek.

 Hello there crafty friends!

I am sharing a layout I created for the August challenge at Creative Embellishments. The challenge is to use the inspiration photo and use white space on your project.

I was inspired by the colors, cacti and hexagons in the photo. I used patterned papers from Heidi Swapp September Skies and Ticket To Ride on the top half of my layout and under my photos and also added some punched hexagons to the bottom right corner.  I decided the bottom half would be my white space. I added some watercolor and used black ink and the Distressed Crackle Stamp to add a bit of color. I used the Chunky Alphabets for my title and colored them with Lindy's Stamp Gang Mists:

I colored few of the Succulents with Lindy's mists as well and added them to both sides of my photos and used a partial one at the bottom of my layout. I added a teal heart from Kaiserkrafts and popped it up with craft foam:

I fussy cut the orange flower from one of the papers to add a "pop" of color. I added some Grunge Arrows

This was such a fun layout to create and I love how it came out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Holiday Shopping

Happy Monday Friends!
Today I am sharing a fun, holiday shopping layout of Sierra and I shopping at the outlet mall last year in the Dells. They have these huge wreaths hanging in it so we decided to take a few selfies:

I used 88 and Clear Rich Cactus Sugar Cube added a bit of water and painted a messy circle on my textured white cardstock background. I colored the Berry Wreath with Tim Holtz Distress Stain (green) and Mr. Huey's (red) mist and Heidi Swapp Gold Colorshine. I colored the Bow with the same mists and added it to the wreath:

I added some Echo park stickers, popping some up for dimension and adding some tucked in the wreath:

I matted my photo with papers from My Minds Eye:

I love how this layout came out! So fun and festive! Thanks for stopping by and hope you had a wonderful holiday season!

Destination

Hey friends!
I am back to share a layout created for Creative Embellishments using the June mood board. I was inspired by the branch with flowers on them.

The flowers reminded me of the Cherry Blossom Branch. I colored it with Lindy's mists. I used mists on my white cardstock background and used the Ledger Stencil to add modeling paste:

I put my photos on tissue paper and then patterned paper from Elle's Studio. I popped them up with foam and tucked in a Vintage Lantern on each side. I used Lindy's and Heidi Swapp mists to color them. I did add a bit of modeling paste to them to give some dimension. I colored a few words from the Travel Word Set 1 with Lindy's mists and added them to my layout. Under the "Destination" and above the left photo, I tucked in a piece of the Lace Border 7.

Here's the other Vintage Lantern I used:

Finally. I added some word phrase stickers from Heidi Swapp and flowers from Little Birdie.
Hope you will play along with us this month!

CSI Cold Case

Hey there friends!
I am sharing a layout created for CSI's January cold case challenge, #308. This challenge is all about using your stash!
I used old Dear Lizzy (the orange paper is Webster's Pages) for this fun page along with watercolors and mists:

I used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe and cut it on my Cameo using white cardstock. I backed them with a rainbow of patterned papers and added an acrylic heart from Elle's Studios overlapping it. I also added a few puffy stickers from Dear Lizzie:

I tucked in some pom-pom ribbon below my photo and in the crock of the middle hear. I added a few Heidi Swapp word phrases and my journaling. To create my title, I used old alpha stickers:

I fussy cut the mason jar and the "good times" card. I added an acrylic hash tag from  Heidi Swapp:

Together

Hey there friends!
Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you enjoy lots of family time today!
I am  back to share another layout with you using some fun Creative Embellishment chipboard. This layout is of Sierra and her boyfriend Robin in Marburg, Germany last summer:

I backed a cutfile from the Silhouette store with patterned papers from the August and September Hip Kit Club kits. Then I machine stitched around the outer edges of it. I used Heidi Swapp Color Shine and misted 4 of the roses from Rose Set 1, I had 2 sets. I used Lindy's mist to color some of the leaves from the Rose Leaves:

I created a frame from the roses and leaves under my photo. I used the together piece as my title and added some colored dots from the kit as well:

I added a heart puffy sticker from the kit on the photo. I also added some Heidi Swapp and Simple Stories stickers. Here's a closer look at it the frame I created:

I just love how this page came out and I love my frame around the photo! Thanks for stopping by and I will be back soon!

Hey there scrappy friends!
Creative Inspiration hasa mini crop starting today. I created this page for my challenge over there.

I used Amy Tan On A Whim for this fun page:

I used a Paper Issues cut file and cut it out on white cardstock. Then I added some watercolor. I outlined the numbers using a blue marker. The word "sweet" is from Heidi Swapp:

I fussy cut the flowers from a journaling spot and added a Heidi Swapp butterfly and a heart diecut:
