Sweet Spring

 Hello There!

Today I am sharing my take on sketch #562 by Jenessa Franco at Sketches In Thyme.  I used a photo of myself at the Andy Griffith Museum in Mount Airy, NC while we were on vacation last year. I used the March 2020 Hip Kit for this page:

I added a strip of Heidi Swapp patterned paper to the left side of my white cardstock background. Then I added some watercolor. I fussy cut that beautiful wreath from a Paige Evans paper. I tucked in the "sunshine ahead" strip that I fussy cut from another of Paige's papers:

I fussy cut the rainbow from a Heidi Swapp paper. I used Thickers for my title, I love the font and colors!. I fussy cut another word strip  and tucked it under my title. I fussy cut the small flower and bird from a Jenn Hatfield paper:

I added some Prima crystals and a few Paige Evans Bloom Street butterflies:

I hand cut a tag and added that in the top right corner of my layout:

Here's the fun sketch by Jenessa:

Spunky Older Broads

 Hey there scrappy friends!

I am back to share a fun layout with you that I created for CSI using case file #380 along with lots of my stash. I love using my stash and making it look new again!

I used a photo of myself and 2 of my friends from a few years ago. We do an annual shopping trip in the fall- the photo of the ladies on the case file reminded me of us so I decided to scrap it. I was also inspired by the colors:

I added the yellow striped (Echo Park) and black with white polka dotted (Simple Stories) papers to my white cardstock background. Then added some machine stitching. I added a bow using a sheer green with white polka dot ribbon around the left side of my photo. I also added 2 different ric-raks on the bottom of it:

On the white cardstock background, I added inks through 2 different stencils- Hero Arts Leaves and Prima checker. Then I used black ink on the Distressed Crackle and the Distressed Text Stamps from Creative Embellishments and stamped on top. I backed the photo with 2 papers from Echo Park:

I added in an arrow and the "lookin' good" clear stickers from Simple Stories. The heart sticker is from Simple Stories. I added in a few diecuts from Pretty Little Studio and a word phrase sticker from Tim Holtz. For my title, I used Thickers (yellow) and Doodlebug Design (green):

The "Oh yes" is another clear sticker from Simple Stories. I punched a few butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch. I added in a few fussy cut flowers from a Bella Blvd. paper and some bling:

In the bottom cluster, I added a label sticker, a punched butterfly, a few clear black stickers from Simple Stories and some punched sprigs:

I absolutely love how this page came out!
Come play along with us this month!

Preschool

Hey there!
Hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
I am sad to say that I am headed back to work today after having most of the summer off. It went by way too fast!
I played in my scrappy room yesterday and combined a few challenges:
Rochelle Spear's Back to School challenge.
Grand Diva's Creative Corner sketch challenge and
Scrap Our Stash tic tac toe challenge.
I was looking for a school photo to scrap for this page when I came across this photo of Sierra from preschool that I hadn't scrapped yet. She was 5 years old in the photo and now she is almost 20!
Any who, I used Prima papers and Creative Embellishments nested stars and a wood veneer heart.

I cut strips of the papers and layered them behind my photo. I also added a piece of torn washi tape. I added a dictionary paper 2x3 paper, a tag, a ticket and a wood veneer piece with October Afternoon washi tape with the number 5:

I stitched through the paper strips and added a few star chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments. I added some watercolor to my background. I added a wood veneer globe to the lower right corner of my photo:

Here are the challenges I used:

I used grid paper, ruler, globe, staples and paint.

I used dictionary paper, ruler and a few washi tape arrows.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
