Love

 Hey there Friends!

Happy Valentines Day!

Today I am sharing a sweet Valentine's layout of Sierra and her boyfriend. This picture was a selfie taken while they were in Chicago. I used Creative Embellishments chipboard along with Doodlebug Designs Love Notes collection:

I added watercolor to my white, textured cardstock. When that was dry, I used the Distressed Text stamp and black ink and stamped on the background. I colored the Love Heart Arrow Frame with acrylic paint and then backed it with patterned paper from the Love Notes collection. I added a few stickers:

I painted 3 of the Hearts and backed those with papers as well. I added some stickers from the Love Notes collection:

I added a fussy cut postcard to write my journaling on. Then finished off my layout with a few more stickers:

Here is another Heart I painted and backed with patterned paper:

I popped up the "hello there" sticker with craft foam to add dimension:

This was such a fun page to create!

Crazy 4 You

 Hello there scrappy friends!

Today I am sharing my take on case file #428 at CSI. I was inspired by the colors and love theme and created a fun and whimsical layout of Greg and I:

On my white cardstock background, I used a few stencils from Creative Embellishments. I took Distressed Oxide Ink and put it through the Distressed Grid Stencil.  Then I took the Ledger Stencil and added Heidi Swapp  Black Metallic Texture Paste. Finally I added black watercolor spatters. I diecut some trees and added watercolor to them. I placed them to the right and under my photo. I added the pink paper (Echo Park Yours Truly) under my photo ripping the left side. I added the Doodle Bug "sweet" tab sticker and the "monday" tab from Pink Paislee. I fussy cut the clouds from a Doodlebug Love Notes paper. The little yellow bird is a sticker from the Doodlebug collection:

For my title, I used the "Crazy" diecut from Pink Paislee. The 4 is from Dear Lizzy and the "you" are Fancy Pants alpha stickers. I fussy cut the bike from a sticker in the Doodlebug Love Notes collection:

Here's another look at the trees. I added the Crate Paper "My Valentine" sicker and fussy cut some envelopes from one of the Doodle Bug papers. The bike is also a Doodle Bug sticker:

I fussy cut the "XOXO" from one of the Echo Park Truly papers and added the "I Love Us" sticker from that collection as well. I fussy cut the flowers and added those on top:

Here's alook at the bottom cluster. The paper is from Doodle Bug Love Notes and then I added little bits and pieces down here:

Here is a quick look at the case file. To see the complete file, check out the CSI Facebook page:

Autumn Splendor

 Hello CE Fans!

I am back to share a layout with you that I created for Creative Embellishments.

Here in Wisconsin, it is fall. This layout is of my daughter and her boyfriend on top of Grandad's Bluff in LaCrosse in October. The view up there is fantastic on a normal day, but in the fall, it's gorgeous! If you get a chance, stop here-it's definately worth it!

Now on to my layout.

I used Doodle Bug Designs Flea Market collection along with lots of fabulous chipboard pieces from the store for this page:

I tore the plaid paper and added a strip at the top and bottom of my page. I machine stitched them in place. I added some yellow watercolor to the background and then started building the wreath:

For the base of the wreath I used the Fall Frame. I added some Wood Veneer Acorns, Skeleton Leaves, Falling Maple Leaves, a few words from the Autumn Word Set and a Fall Flair Button:

I used ink pads to color all the beautiful chipboard pieces. I also added a few word phrase stickers from the Doodle Bug collection. I stamped the date and added a bit of journaling:

Isn't that wreath gorgeous? I love it!

On the bottom of the page, I added a Fall Skeleton Leaf Set 4, a Skeleton Maple Leaf and another Falling Maple Leaf. On top, I added my title- Autumn Splendor. I also added a few stickers here as well:

Wow! That is a lot of chipboard! Love, love, love it!

Love You Always- A Now & Then Layout

Hey there Scrappy Friends!

Today I am sharing my take on the August challenge at Bramble Fox. The challenge this month is to scrap an old and a new photo. I decided to scrap photos of Greg and I. I used a recent one from May- we were in Oshkosh for a wedding and the old photo is from 1991- we were on vacation in Mexico.

I used Doodlebug Design Love Notes for this page along with some BF goodies:

I added watercolor to my background. I used a stencil to cut the bigger hearts and a punch for the smallest hearts. I machine stitched through them:

I used foam Thickers for the Now & Then and the years:

I popped my photos up on craft foam and put the largest heart in between them. I used the Love You Always for my title. This perspextive is so pretty! I added 3 teal Valentine Hearts along with some stickers from the Doodle Bug collection:

I also added 3 of the bright pink Valentine Hearts:

Here's the challenge in case you haven't seen it:

I love how this page came out!

Blessed Fall

 Hey there friends!

Today I am sharing a layout created for Richard Garay Designs. I played with the Blessed Fall Digital Stamp set and had an absolute blast! I also added a bit of the Flea Market collection from Doodlebug Designs. I cut a piece of the white cardstock off at the top and bottom of my layout and added in a piece of Rich Tangerine Sugar Stock. Then added some machine stitching:

On my background, I used Sour Mist & Tangy Apple Sugar Cubes. I smooshed them onto plastic packaging, added a bit of water to create a watercolor and smooshed it on my white background paper. Then I took the Handwritten Stamp with Black Taffy Sugar Cube and added that to my background.

I printed out the digital stamp on white cardstock and then used watercolor pencils to add some color. Finally I fussy cut them.

I love the leaves and that cute hat!

I even added one of the digital sentiments for my title. I fussy cut a few small leaves from the Doodlebug Flea Market collection:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Autumn Adventure

Hey friends!
I am back today to share a fun layout with you that I have up on the Creative Embellishment Blog today.
Greg and I love to 4 wheel, but don't go as often as we used to now that the kids are grown. This photo of us was taken last fall on our afternoon ride with a few friends:
I added watercolor to my white cardstock background to mimic the sky. I added torn brown cardstock to the bottom of the layout.
I used a cut file from the Silhouette store and cut it on white cardstock. I stitched it to the background and then decided to add watercolor to the trees as well.

I used Doodlebug Flea Market, ScraPerfect's Best Glue Ever along with CE products for this fun page.
I used 2 of the deer from the Reindeer Set and added Distress Inks to them. I tucked one behind my photo and put the other one in the lower right corner. I added some stickers and fussy cut leaves:

I colored the wood veneer Fall Leaves with Gelatos and tucked some in around my photo and have 2 falling on my page:

I also tucked in a cool leaf from the Autumn Leaves Set. I used a green Gelato to color it. Here I also added a few wood veneer Fall Leaves along with some more fussy cut leaves:

For my title I used the word "autumn" from the Autumn Leaves Set and the word "Adventure" from the Adventure Word Set. I used 4 different Gelatos to color them:

This was such a fun layout to create and I love how it came out! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I used Doodlebug Flea Market and came up with this birthday card. I love the fun fall colors in this collection!

I fussy cut a few leaves and also used patterned paper with leaves on it.

Best Day Ever!

Happy Tuesday!
Last weekend I had a bit of free scrapping time and played along with the first sketch of the new year at Stuck?! Sketches.
I used a photo of Austin while camping this summer at Pineland. They had a huge tarp on the ground and had shaving cream all over it. The kids and their cousins had the best time ever!  This was my favorite picture I took that day and I took lots! LOL!
I used Crate Paper Notes & Things along with Amy Tangerine (grey paper), a Doodlebug doily and Dear Lizzy Thickers (ever!):

Here are a few close ups:

Here is the sketch:
