MSW Sketch

Lucy's new sketch is up for the month at My Sketch World and it's amazing, as usual! You can find it HERE . I combined the sketch with the element challenge at Design Dollies and came up with this layout:

I hand cut the red flowers out of felt and then stitched the insides with bakers twine. Since the colors on the flag were red, black and yellow, I wanted to stick with mainly those colors.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your day with me!

A few Challenges!

I started playing along with a few new blogs this year and have been enjoying their challenges!
For my A Dance With Grandma layout I used and old photo of my Grandma and me at a wedding. I was maybe 11? I used XOXO challenge and lifted Kimmy Jaster. I aso added Stickles to all the flowers for Cropstop's challenge #2. Here is my layout:

I have been loving the sketches at Sassy Lil Sketches and the sketch for Jan. 14th was awesome! Here is my card:

Design Dollies

My friend Wendi made it on the DT at Design Dollies so I thought I would check out their blog and they had a color challenge going on. So of coarse, I played along! Here are the colors:

and here is my layout:
I painted the chipboard hearts red and then covered them with Glossy Accents. I took pompoms and added them with hot glue to the ends of my fiber bow and added to the top of the larger heart.

Had a blast with this one!

This was the first time I played along and I had so much fun playing with Sassy Lil Sketches first sketch of 2011! I used the Rusted Sun line by Fancy Pants and also snuck in an old piece of Cosmo from my stash. I couldn't resist adding the swimsuits and trunks for the banner. Thanks for the fun sketch!

First Challenge at CropStop

I played along with CropStop's New Challenge Blog! Their first challenge was a sketch and it has a banner so how could I resist?! I used a pic of Austin and turned the sketch side ways. Here is my layout:

Thanks for the fun sketch!
