Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
I am popping in real quick to share a layout I created using a sketch and challenge at Scrap Our Stash. I always love when they have a word challenge. It makes me think outside my box!
I used Paper House All Star for this sports page:
I had stitched the triangles using black embroidery floss. I then added some watercolors using the packaging technique along with some black ink spatters. I fussy cut the baseball from one of the paper, inked and distressed it. The title I fussy cut from one of the cards and popped it up with foam:
I fussy cut the chevrons and stitched them in place. I also added a sticker using foam tape:
I added a few Fancy Pants cork stars and used a Zig marker to add the stitched lines:
Here is the sketch and challenge:
I used:
C- cork
U: underlined title (I used the chevron)
P- Paper House
I- ink
D- distressing
Thanks for stopping by and stay scrappy!
wonderful take on the sketch. Love the mixed media work
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice interpretation of the sketch. I love how you used the large baseball to mimic the circle suggested in the sketch. The fussy cutting of the title/saying looks great. Love the watercolour background work as well. Fantastic work. TFS.
